Just amazes me how great of an eye you have for repurposing items and giving them life. I noticed you bought blue boy but not pinky to match. 😆 I have a huge replica that my dad bought me as a child after visiting the Huntington Mansion in San Marino, CA.
Back in the early ‘70’s, there was a franchise store called Depth of Field that sold these frames & fabrics & custom made your order. I received a large one as a birthday present & still have it! It’s a bouquet of daisies on a navy background. Pretty simple concept, but more expensive than the DIY.
I love the silk screen and both the flower print and the bird print really great ideas and look beautiful hanging on your walls ❤😮 This whole video was fantastic - you hit a great thrift store with fantastic merchandise 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻‼️‼️‼️ Thanks for posting 🧡🍂🍁
I LOVE your glass lamps ! I remember when you found the Steifel lamps. I found a pair of my own Steifels for $5.99 each. I was SO excited ! I have bought lamps, lampshades, pictures ( for the frames), etc. for about 2 decades. LOVE your videos !!!
Today's video wraps up what you tell us. Your finds not only make your home more beautiful but pleasing to be in, recharge and be a family. Yes, we are enough. Thank you so much. Have a great week.
Girl it's funny, when I saw you using the shower curtains as decor I have been doing that for about 40+ years. I also use sheets to make curtains and shower curtains. They last forever and wash up fabulous. Everytime I head out to a thrift store I head to the bedding and curtain section and search for items as fabric, it's so much cheaper than buying by the yard. As always thanks for sharing. Have a fabulous week! Take care. Blessings
Agreed! I've not done the shower curtain yet but yes fabric is so expensive! I also look for throws to cover existing pillows for sofa and loveseat.i change out for the seasons.less pillows to buy and store!
I have a shower curtain set that I absolutely love, but I won't use it because I don't want it to get ruined in the bathroom. My grandma had it in her spare bathroom for years and she gave it to me. I'll definitely give it a good wash and repurpose it when I get to my permanent home.
Too many people are all about following the latest trends, but I've always loved the idea of surrounding yourself with things that make you happy. Kathryn for the win once again!!!
I get things from Thredup a few times a year. I don't think I have ever spent more than $10 for any one item. It's all in the filtering options. I have nearly new jeans that were only $6.
Same here. After much mocking from relatives I have increased my budget for clothes from 10 to 20 per piece. Anything above that would be a birthday gift or may be not lol
I am all about Victoria and I am so glad to see you changing from Farmhouse to something classic that is generally made much better, is more ornate, and it's much more individual. Right up my alley girl❤
Kathryn,I love what you did with the shower curtains and my fave is the one above the piano,Love the wrought iron with the plants,my husband is a plant killer,he killed my big, tall beautiful one,i just love all of your hacks! I don't comment much but i watch all of your videos😍🪴🌱
So glad to see BlueBoy on your wall. I have two sets of Pinky and Blue Boy paintings. They were my Moms. I could not bring myself to get rid of them. She loved them so much. I am 60 and they have been in her home as long as I can remember! Maybe I will find a spot for them now! 💖💙 Love the birds. 🧡I collect them.
I've been watching you for years and your videos get better every week. I absolutely love your ideas. PS, I love both ideas. The birds are my favorite.
Omg I love all these hacks! 💖 The rabbit with the monocle is such a cute touch! And I never thought about using lemon oil for wood 🤯 Definitely gonna try these tips! Also, the vibe of the video just makes me so happy! 🌼✨
😅 I’ve been calling some of my favorite things “dopamine purchases.” It extends past the decor- I love my bedding, some of my tools, a few of my dishes (I have a leaf slotted spoon!!! (^•^) ), and other things like that. I’m developing a type of guide I’m calling “The Four Parts of Happiness,” and one of the parts is adding things/people/situations to your life that you truly enjoy. It looks like you had so much fun doing this, and I’m ecstatic for you! 💖 keep sharing your own brand of sunshine. ☀️
I so agree with you! The older I get the more I fall in love with those little things that make me smile! I’m also into antique/vintage decor and am learning to re-create, paint, or add little things to make it my own. It is what brings me joy! Thank you for sharing! As usual, you have inspired me so much, and I just love your upbeat, happy personality! May God bless you abundantly ❤
The oriental silk screen is meant to be hung. I have it and it came with a special hanger. It was two long bands that go from top to bottom with gold hooks on it. Very unique and special!!!
Thank you sooooo much! ❤❤❤ You don't know how long I've had a silkscreen like yours that I've wanted to hang but couldn't quite figure out how to do it. Yours is beautiful!
I have had so much fun decorating for me. I like my querky old things and use them in unusual ways. Love love love your thrifts and how you used them. That rabbit head is awesome!
Omgoodness!! My hubby and I just had a conversation about me decorating our home for Fall and Halloween. He asked me why I go to some much trouble when we aren’t really going to have anyone see it. I told him, bc it makes me happy.
I have always loved your style. I can tell you have entered a new season of decor. Now, I have something else to look forward to and consider for my own home. ❤
Hi Kathryn, Due to insomnia and working 12 hour days in a warehouse with ongoing leg pain I am still wide awake at 3:36 am and due at work by 7. Instead of laying here frustrated I go to creative sites and I was so happy to see this video. I cannot believe it but, in a box by my front door I have a satin sage green thick rope tassel. OMGOSH it looks like your's. I am trying to down size on odds and ends and I have never used it for its orig purpose and living in such a very tiny studio apartment I am very overwhelmed. I was going to take the box to the new Goodwill near me. In the morning I am pulling out the tassle. My Mom left me everything in her house when she passed and one item I have in my bedroom is a candle stick holder of an angel holding the candle holder you put the candle in. She bought that at an old and new shop as she called it in the 1950s. I need a new candle but, somehow I want to incorporate the tassle with the angel. When I moved from my old apartment where I lived 20 years I have tons of my belongings to a co worker buying her first home. I cave her a walnut corner shelf system. My Mom had given it to me years before when she found it at a yard sale. Now since my Mom passed away I have guilt trips I gave it away. I used it for 20 years. Where I presently live it's registered with the historical society so we are not allowed to use molly bolts or nails. Well, I shall try to go to sleep with visions on now how to use the tassle. So excited to see this and many of your other ideas! Blessings, Rebekah
I love every one of there and can't wait to find a canvas for the shower curtain DIY. You just keep coming up with better and better ideas all the time!
Such great ideas. Yay! I shop on Threadup and find mega deals. I don’t need new with tags. It’s so easy to use. And they often have sales too! Thx for your hard work ❣️
Loved: -Shower curtain as large art! -your gallery wall -The blazer outfit and slacks with burgundy blouse stunning and chic on you. -Sweater dress definitely with tall boots.
I LOVE thrifting! Keeps products out of the landfill as well. Plus, our Goodwill rounds up when you pay and the change is used for their GED program or for local disaster relief situations. The SHOWER CURTAIN idea for large art decor is BRILLIANT!
The shower curtain on ugly pictures is the best idea ever!!!! Also, I was literally staring at wooden pieces in GW yesterday and knew I could do something with them, thanks so much for the great ideas. Cool to know you also watch these vids to get inspo also, ha ha love it!! Thanks for always making me smile and think outside of the box! ☺
Another comment is that I just love how well you used things you thrifted. We are currently renting a furnished home so I can’t buy much right now but girl once we find our forever home. My husband will love all the fun things I will bring into our home. I just love turning old things into some new and different. So happy I found your channel.🤗❤️
YOU SCORED A FREAKING SILK SCREEN I'm so jealous of American thrift stores 😭 here in Europe there's simply much less antique and vintage stuff left... Love your videos, besides envy they also give me so much inspiration and motivation!

Love your videos! Where do you get your energy lady?
I had a glimpse of you wearing what appeared to be a Detroit Lions T-shirt! I know you live in the south, but do you have Michigan roots like I do?
Voga closet is much expensive than the origin pls don't give wrong info
Don't spend your money at ANY Goodwill, they charge outrageous prices, while the ceo of the company is living largely in a mansion 😢
The rabbit head with the monocle is ✨ perfection ✨
Omggg thank you! 🐰
it was so cute!! goes so well with the teacup pot and gives off a "alice in wonderland" vibe
Yes, I love it
Oh yes!! I love love it!!!
As a bunny "mom" as soon as I saw it, I was like "MUST HAVE!"🐰
Putting a shower curtain over a canvas to create artwork...PURE genius!!!! 🤯🤯🤯
I seen this before with another utuber
If I got nothing from this video, THIS was worth my view! I cannot wait to go thrifting now!
I hv a canvas with shower curtain cover for 2 seasons using an ugly canvas from thrift store. So much cheaper, visitors are amazed.
And with shower curtain you can hang in bathroom
Back in the early ‘70’s, there was a franchise store called Depth of Field that sold these frames & fabrics & custom made your order.
I received a large one as a birthday present & still have it! It’s a bouquet of daisies on a navy background. Pretty simple concept, but more expensive than the DIY.
I like the moody flower print over the piano and the silk screen. Both are beautiful!
Both are beautiful I agree, but I do prefer the moody one
I love the silk screen and both the flower print and the bird print really great ideas and look beautiful hanging on your walls ❤😮 This whole video was fantastic - you hit a great thrift store with fantastic merchandise 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻‼️‼️‼️ Thanks for posting 🧡🍂🍁
The beautiful birds canvas above the fireplace is my favorite. 🐦 🦜

I second that!
❤I agree!! You make me smile and giggle 😊!! Dopamine Decor!! Finally sums up my eclectic home 🏡❤️ 🤗🦋 Hugs and blessings 🙏 to all in need!!❤

Your dining room looks like a professional decorator styled it! I like the birds over your fireplace. 💗 BRAVO Kathryn!!
I’m pretty sure she is a professional decorator or has been at some point. She is not afraid of hard work!
I like the birds over the fireplace so cute
I love this girl…..she cheers you up with her upbeat personality!!
I adore the aesthetic and philosophy of this video. "Dopamine décor" indeed! Actual good vibes only on Do It On A Dime 🥰
It sure beats gray and white everything 😂!
Dark and moody flowers for the win!
Love the canvas idea - I would take it a step further and do some mod-podge and a light paint wash over parts of it to really sell the effect!
Ooh!! Yes!!
Great ideas! The shelf looks good upside down 😊
Wondered if anyone else caught that.
I agree 😀
Wow i'm going to use the shower curtain art hack for art in my bathroom. Genius.
Dark & Moody flowers! ❤

@@DoItOnaDime You're so welcome!
I agree. She is the best & so comforting in this crazy world.
Too many people are all about following the latest trends, but I've always loved the idea of surrounding yourself with things that make you happy. Kathryn for the win once again!!!
As a musician, it was worth waiting until the end to hear the perfect pairing of classical music with your dopamine decor.
The silk screen looks like it was made to be displayed in your dining area. I love it!
Happy for people that can do things like ThredUp. I balk at spending more than $20 for my clothes.
I get things from Thredup a few times a year. I don't think I have ever spent more than $10 for any one item. It's all in the filtering options. I have nearly new jeans that were only $6.
I wouldn’t spend that much either.
Same…..50 bucks for a pair of pants?? Never.
Same here. After much mocking from relatives I have increased my budget for clothes from 10 to 20 per piece. Anything above that would be a birthday gift or may be not lol
Quality is important

Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy thrift frame for the glass replacement for a special pictures.
The flower canvas is beautiful!
I liked the birds. The rabbit with a monocle was adorable.
Keep these things coming. I am in the process of updating my master bedroom suite. Lived here for 24 years and it is still builders grade. You give me confidence to do what needs to be done.
