I was watching this video a few hours back and i must say. Some people just have inhumane patience when doing something so stressful 😂
I love split starts and always try to hold and expand both sides. Because it is more difficult and potentially more rewarding. I like the challenge and yeah BEEEEEG empire basically just requires patience and risk evaluation. If those are good enough alongside battling experience. You should be fine.
I suppose if you're a good enough player you can manage. Will have to try my hand at it to find out whether I'm up to the task.

I HIGHLY recommend his video on Shogun 2. It's possibly his funniest.
If you do ever play as Yuan Bo I would recommend keeping Shang-wu, I personally find it to be a better campaign and that 20,000 is quickly overshadowed by the ammount of money that can be gained by taking over cathay as well as all the landmarks within cathay. By about turn 50 I owned all of Cathay and was moving into the chaos wastes for a lil bit of revenge whilst simultaniously owning most of northern Lustria.
Also the healing cap isn't your whole health bar it's 75%
really love this videos, Kleaps videos are always amazing, also Cody Bonds just dropped a video for one of the new Nurgle lords, i think its worth chacking out since its about the one that has little to no story

I 100% recommend keeping your provinces in Cathay, and at a minimum making an army there right away to get the entire province secured. This gives you a pretty darn safe province well away from the front that can provide a steady stream of income. It's also a bit of insurance in the event you completely lose a front and need to rebuild your army somewhere safely, while also providing a 4-region province to bolster your global recruitment pool with.
Hell, if your Cathayan neighbors are having issues with their local problems, like skaven, orcs and other minor factions (and Nakai) helping out with them can further expand your borders in a pretty darn safe region of the map and bolster you relations with the Cathay factions and reduce the difficulties to confederate them. The only real threats are Nakai and Helman Ghorst (maybe Clan Eshin too, but every game I've played he just gets bulldozed out of Cathay).

One thing to consider, when letting low health enemy lords go, is that any army that either retreats once and then suffers a defeat after that, or suffers two defeats in a row gets wiped. But that counter gets reset if you kill their lord and they get a new one. So if you have nothing better to do with your army and want to farm xp, keep killing their lord and letting the rest of the army escape, but if you want to wipe it, make sure you don't kill their leader.
Army also gets wiped, if it gets caught in march stance, intercepted in underway or ambushed and loses that battle. So in those cases, you don't have to chase fleeing enemies, trying to reduce their numbers.

In my recent Yuan Bo campaign, I conquered the entirety of Grand Cathay before building a single Astromantic Relay
whenever i play as cathay, i usually prioritize getting all the unique items from the caravans before going for whatever gives the most money
This seems like an incredibly tough challenge and managed to pull it off. Makes me feel like a beginner when I lose my hard level campaigns.
You actually want to stay in Cathay and conquer it, just to deny the other 2 Dragon siblings settlements. The Cathay dragons are very hard to Confederate, so you need to keep them weak.
Not gonna lie I’m genuinely curious now as to just how broken he actually would’ve been if he wasn’t doing a self imposed challenge, cause with those insane stats combined with being able to actually recruit the top tier units would’ve probably allowed him to beat just about about anything.

i wouldnt use brettonia as a measure for strength
i once obliterated 4 full 20 stacks of brettonians numbering at about 10,000 with a single army made up of a bunch of zombie gunners and like 4 low tier monster units and 2 mid tier ones numbering 2,400ish
edit: they also had Leoncoeur and the fay enchantress, where i had a regular lord

@@TheLegitWeebs it was always in a rough state because I did that in Warhammer 2 way before Warhammer 3 came out and they had next to no updates whatsoever
