    Specs is all about Yedzi, fullly fledged with new technologies and good power. Moreover, it has liquid cooled engine. People only promote RE because of its brand. RE Sells iron with old engines and old specs but charges high

    I just bought scram411 , few days ago. And trust me it is far better than my expectations. Great performance, smooth , ABS works so well on the highway as well as in the city and it is giving me 30kmpl mileage. It’s takes 10 to 12 sec to go from 60 to 100 and the best part is that suspension works so well. Seats Are soft and yes you can take this bike on the hills and for touring…

    I own a yezdi Scrambler and i tested all the bikes before I bought it for 3 months . You will just love it on shorter trips . Its a scrambler and not a tourer .

    this guy is so well built I don't think even an Arjun Tank will be difficult for him to move around. But what about a normal guy who is 5 foot 8 inches or so and does not have this guy's paratrooper build?

    Conclusion is spot on. The Yezdi feels quicker but the weird fueling makes the engine feel very harsh. It is not the presence of vibrations as much as the *type* of vibrations and their intensity. That rear suspension is terrible too. My BS4 390 Duke and BS3 200 Duke both handle rough roads better.
    The Scram 411 has a very flat torque curve and doesn't feel energetic. But engine is so tractable, surprisingly smooth and easy to use. Suspension is far better too. This bike is not very exciting but it feels so, so easy to ride and welcoming in more ways than one. Brakes could be better, though. The ABS is extremely intrusive and RE messed up big time by not making it switchable.
    This was my conclusion after test riding them both in the same day.

      @Skinsjar I am in the same boat, more or less. I have a BS4 390 Duke for road duties and want to replace my BS3 200 Duke for off road use and some adventure touring. Here are my views:
      RE Scram 411 - Great overall and presently my first choice. The ABS on the rear wheel intervenes at the slightest hint of lockup. I would not mind riding that bike without ABS *all the time*.
      RE Himalayan - Excellent adventure bike but I am still infected with the KTM bug so it feels a bit soft and less precise than how I would like it. The Scram feels better that way.
      BMW G310GS - I once rode the BS4 version and found the suspension even softer and wallowy than the Himalayan's. The engine was very harsh too. Not the kind of refinement I would expect from anything with a BMW badge. The BS6 one may be better but I don't think it comes with switchable ABS now. The BS4 had it. Plus service network is small and parts and labour are expensive.
      KTM 250 Adventure - I have never ridden any of the 250 models here so I don't know how it performs. But I find my 390 to be a bit boring because the throttle response is too linear and low end torque is non-existent. So I don't think the 250 will be very good but this is just my opinion.

    • @twowheeledparadox

      Oh, and the Yezdi Adventure is smoother than the Yezdi Scrambler. Its power delivery curve is also better. Build quality seems a little bit lower than the Scram 411's. But for some reason I did not enjoy riding it. Keep in mind the smaller service network too.

    • @twowheeledparadox
      @twowheeledparadox 2 роки тому

      @Skinsjar Yes, alloy wheels are a lot more convenient in case of punctures. The V-Strom looks like a good option but at 120 mm its suspension travel is shorter than that of street bikes like the KTM Duke series.
      By low end torque I mean the torque the engine puts out at low rpm. On my 390 I have to rev the engine and slip the clutch at low speeds. It also demands downshifts very often in the city. Below 4000 rpm, it feels dead. Compare that to the Scram which puts out about 80-90 percent of its peak torque at 2000-3000 rpm. Lots of low end torque.
      We will get such products from Bajaj when their Triumph bikes come out. They are being tested in Europe.

    Yezdi just has to improve Service and consumer network.
    Scrambler Adventure seem to easily take on Himalayan.
    Although not perfect, if improvement oriented updates are given in both, can take Indian Mid segment range with storm.

      @@twowheeledparadox if u take the list of the powerful bikes, you can never find a bike which offers sheer comfort. Scram 411 offers the comfort here, but if u want to have more power and excitement the yezdi scrambler is way better.

      @@vishnuspal2422 Good point. Yes, the Scram 411 has better suspension while the Yezdi Scrambler has more power. But there is a problem with the Yezdi's fueling. It starts off with good punch but after the midrange its power drops off. It also has some harsh vibrations. I test rode the Himalayan and Scram from RE and Scrambler and Adventure from Yezdi in the same day. For me, it is between the RE Scram and the Yezdi Adventure. If one really wanted the Yezdi Scrambler, I would tell them to look at the Adventure instead.

      @@twowheeledparadox lol 😂 power drop after mid range for yezdi scrambler. Look who's saying that.. the scram 411 which doesn't deliver any power at any stage 😂..the only thing which I like on the scram 411 is the low end torque...vibrations are always inevitable when it comes to good power delivery as I mentioned before. RE scram doesn't even look like a scrambler, it's a Himalayan with no visor, bit smaller shock and minimal change in it's front. And my last point..you can have better ride on the Himalayan than the scram..then y should someone go for the scram which doesn't give a scrambler perfomance.

    • @twowheeledparadox
      @twowheeledparadox 2 роки тому +2

      @@vishnuspal2422 Why don't you test ride the bikes? I am sharing my experience of the back to back test rides. The Scrambler's power output does drop off. The Scram 411 has a flat torque curve so its output is more or less constant throughout the rev range. I never said it performs better than the Scrambler. Maybe you should quote where I said that.
      I own two bikes whose engines emit vibrations - 200 and 390 Dukes. But the vibrations are not harsh. They are mild and the engines do not sound clunky. The Scrambler is very harsh, feels crude and that's quite likely because of a poorly configured fuel map. The Yezdi Adventure has vibrations too but they are softer and milder. The fueling is better too. It has the same low and mid range output as the Scrambler but better top end. So the Scrambler has poor power delivery and poor refinement.
      Who cares if the Scram 411 does not look like what you think a scrambler should look like? The Yezdi looks cobbled together in a home garage but that look works in its favour since scramblers were all homemade bikes or rather home modified. The Scram looks like something out of a factory and has better build quality. Don't believe me? Examine both bikes up close and ride them. And what do you mean by scrambler performance? Scramblers were bikes like the Bullet 350/500 and the Scram performs better than them. It is also a better off road machine since the Yezdi Scrambler has no more suspension travel than my 200 Duke.
      When I rode the Scram 411 after the Himalayan, I found it much easier and enjoyable to ride in the city. The Scram's stiffer suspension, steeper rake and smaller front wheel make the bike fun to ride. If you spend more time in the city than adventure touring, the Scram is a better buy than the Himalayan.

      Anyways, I want my future wife to feel comfortable on my bike. The Scrambler seems to have lesser room for the pillion, unlike the Scram 411. But if you own a Scrambler, I'd like to know your experience with it.
