Draenei Ele shamans are so insanely good. They get almost hit cap just from their talents + Inspiring Presence, and they get 8% free crit from talents, as well.
Great video, as usual! I really disagree with you about the rarity of shamans on alliance side in TBC classic. I think the boosting meta from classic will carry over into TBC, so the first week you will see mages (or whichever class becomes best at it) running SFK, SM, Mara, and ZG in order to level up their shaman buddies. That Heroism is just so OP that I think you'll see a lot of people finding a way to have a shaman pretty quickly. Also, from my experience in BC, horde side will be CRAWLING with blood elves as soon as they become playable.
update to elemental shamans for classic tbc they just did a spell batching patch in classic wow and lowered it from 400ms to 10ms and guess what i can still elemental mastery chain lightning+earth shock double crit.i cant wait to do it with elemental over load when pre patch launches.ele is going to do more damage because they didnt remove the double crit your going to see TRIPLE CRITS!!! elemental shamans are going to be really fun in classic tbc.
I rate shaman top class in TBC. Its not even the best class, i would say shaman is top 5 overall, but what makes shaman epic in TBC is just utility. Having shaman in any HC group is amazing, same in raids and same in pvp. When you paly shaman in TBC you just feel like you are needed, on top of that you are legit at every job. You can do solid DPS as ele, enh, ofc not TOP dps but enough. On top of that you can heal very well.
I created a draenei shaman when TBC launched, but I didn't hit level cap until Cataclysm was current because I was spending so much time playing my mage and paladin. I can definitely say it would have been faster if my shaman were questing with groups because elemental does not level very quickly.
That weird trick to pull mobs in heroic dungeons is almost certainly just bad coding on the pirated server. I am not sure how that would make them required for heroics either. Heroic instances aren't that hard.
Yes the chances are that on alliance there will be less shamen then optimal. Remember you literally want shaman in EVERY group in your raid. That means 20% of players should play shaman. That is tall order from 0%.
@@MrJigssaw1989People will 100% reroll and the top guilds will specifically boost people the first week. Maybe on the lower pop servers they will be rare but on medium to high there will be plenty. Hell I'd wager mages will make their epic flyer and craftable lvl 70 gear money by just boosting shamans/paladins at launch.
we ve been talking about this on my guild and who is going to reroll and i htink im the only one rerolling shaman if tbc comes out (ally guild) but a lot of people is going to play hunters and warlocks because a lot of people only care about being at the top of charts. maybe im wrong but im talking from my experience
Tbc shaman didn't need to be the best however the rest of the classes needed a shaman to do their best. A raid with no shamans compared to a raid with multiple ones is huge and no other class had that much effect. Tbc shaman is in that league of classes like classic dwarf priest, undead classic pvp racial, tbc shaman , tbc shadow priest, wrath disc priest, etc classes with ability to trivialize content that is incredibly hard without.
Even if they only release the new races when the dark portal opens, I think there are still a lot of people that are going to reroll straight out of the gate. There seems to be a lot of intrest in draenei and in shamans in our guild and I am 100 percent set on rerolling right when it becomes available, and a bunch of guildies seem to have the same mentality.
i think with the purchasable level boost it will dilute the rarity of the class for alliance but we'll have to see how willing the classic playerbase is to give in to blizzard's money grab
You can't buy a boost from Blizzard for Dren or be but they are definitely getting dungeon boosted because I am already seeing quite a few 60 shamans on alliance.
Remember that about 2 mio XP will be cut of the level experience at some point after TBC launches if they do what they did in (vanilla) TBC. That will make it a bit easier and faster to level to 58 and onwartds to 70 as a shaman. The introduction to summoning stones will surely help as well.
If they do upgrade to BC I hope they limit the amount of gold you can xfer over. If not the economy going to be incredibly broken with the amount of gild people have.
Lets get this straight right now. It's Bloodlust. Heroism might be a thing from BC and beyond, but it is and always will be bloodlust. Calling it heroism was just Chris Metzen not wanting Allies to have Bloodlust. Space goats came from the same planet, so it makes sense they have it. It will never not be bloodlust...
technically it was originally called Heroism because it was originally going to be a PALADIN spell to keep the two classes roughly analogous in terms of benefits. But then they decided to just say fuck it and give both classes to both sides, and just kept the name Heroism for the alliance version, rationalizing it later.
But most raids will have 1 enhance sham 1-2 element 2-3 restoration. Because enhance is most popular and after that ele only restoration sham gonna be in big needs. I think many groups will mainly roll with restoration sham maby 2-3 because casters gain alot more from bl in tbc. Only take a ele sham if they can't find a restoration and try convert the ele to resto.
I am planning on making a Shaman this week and get them at least somewhat close to 60 by the time TBC would launch if it's coming (probably is). I don't quite remember how racials impacted late game in TBC, so for a Horde Shaman looking forward to being Elemental in TBC, which race should I pick or should I exclude?
This is the bad thing about constantly pushing out videos like this, You’re completely wrong in the start. Elemental Shamans in P1-P4 are loads stronger than mages If you can play them correctly. I was a 99-100 parsing Shaman in P3 and would womp all the mages in my group every single fight. And many were parsing 95+’s. On Nefarian id put on my MP5 gear, same thing I do with AQ now to stay competitive. Shamans are super over tuned and it makes up for the mana issues, yes consumables are an absolute must and building MP5 is as well but shamans are insanely powerful especially on any fights with multiple targets. You can play them from MC -> Naxx. Yes shamans have mana issues but a good player can work around that to bring the shaman to it’s full potential. Just look at the AQ dps charts for P5. Ele is top 4 dps overall
Tbc was just so good in general, just started playing classic last week and it's so boring to level up and play, definitely nostalgia and should not be called classic since it's not the best, tbc and wotlk are better
You're supposed to level up with other people and use the world as a way to make memorable experiences with the people you meet along the way. If you can't do that, you're gonna have an awful time. There's no point in joining classic at this stage because the vast majority of players are done with leveling
@@xenonecromera well I just got a laptop recently, I'm definitely not playing the newest wow that's for sure, but yea u pretty much have to always have a person or 2 questing with u at all times, I got so bored I paid a mage to do those 1 pulls in SM for fast easy XP
