Excellent! Though I was a serious bodybuilder up until a damaging automobile accident in my late 40s. My training partner called me "Quadzilla" due the results of my leg training and development. But after being busted up I was forced extremely light training. Now in my mid 70s, I have become quite inactive. My entire body has shrunken, especially my legs. I'm adding these exercises to my redesigned training immediately! Thank you for your dedication and life skills training methods for seniors. 👍
Thanks Dave. I have MS. Over the last 23 years I have noticed muscle problems for all THREE reasons. It is a steady battle. I keep fighting. Some times I will go downhill and have to work my way back up. That's why even if a muscle doesn't get the signal. If I can only move it an 1/8 of an inch. I do and I build on it. Next week I might be able to move it 1/4 on an inch. KEEP MOVING
Excellent!! My daughter also has MS and struggles, especially with her legs. However, she still pushes on after a hard 20 years of suffering! Keep battling on, especially with the sit to stand exercises as Dr Candy points out. Many thanks for a very inspirational post.!!😊
I've gone to neurology clinic & orthopedic clinic & physical therapy & no medical person ever explained why my legs are so weak as concisely & comprehensively as this man. Thank you.
Good afternoon , I’m 65 years old and my two knees hurts. I cant walk for long my leg feels tiered. I’ve been talking cortisone injections for years. This gives me an idea ,to discuss with my doctor.
It depends on the cause of the peripheral neuropathy, but in general, aerobic exercise is probably more beneficial than specific strengthening exercises for peripheral neuropathy. Other lifestyle factors such as controlling blood sugar and not smoking are important with neuropathy as well.
Just subscribed and found it interesting. Have had 3 back and one neck surgery. Left leg is pencil thin and cold as ice from the knee down. I use a cane and try walking at the park but never seem to be able to increase distance. Ill try these but i know i cant balance on my left leg as one dr said its atrophied from the knee diwn. But ill try anything and see if it works . Thanks.
Most likely residual nerve issued from the surgeries are affecting the leg weakness / atrophy. As to the specific solution for that, you'd have to consult with your doctor / physio in person. Thanks for subscribing and good luck!
Hi sir I am from India 35 yrs old. I took an unhealthy diet with no proper balanced diet for 8months. I have done only walking and jumping jacks during diet. I reduced 30 kg from 100. But now I feel tired and no strength to walk. Feeling no energy to light walking. So balanced diet and this exercise will help ? please help
I can't tell you based on this exactly what exercises are best for you, but making sure you're getting proper nutrition (quality and quantity) would likely help.
I am 80 years old and lately I have been a little shaky and unsteady and most of the things you talked about.I have been having pains in my neck and as you pointed out it could be due to this, because I thouhgt it could be a bad pillow I sleep on but I changed this a few times and the pain is strill there .Do you thik it could be a crimped nerve or something else?
I just got done with a surgery knee surgery and my leg is so stiff. Doesn’t want to bend at the ankle and the knee. I can’t get it. You know work like it’s supposed to do you have any suggestions for that because I know that is what is bothering me a lot because I wanna drive my car again and I want to be able to go places again on my own, but I don’t know what to do. You know getting the leg, like I want and move like I want so I can get back to my normal things that I do if you have any suggestions, please let me know or show them in a video OK bye
Not sure what kind of knee surgery it was, but right after surgery, following the advice of your surgeon and physical therapist is the best option. If you had a knee replacement, here are 2 videos you might find helpful, but again, follow the advice of your medical team. In general, the exercises in this video are ok for sciatica and should not trigger or make sciatica worse in most cases. That said, not every person is the same so if they bother you, then check with your doctor of physical therapist before doing them.
Why am I in so much pain in the groin area? I have lateral spinal stenosis. My left groin muscle hurts. Makes it very hard to walk. I also have piriformis syndrome.

Peripheral neuropathy in limbs, will these exercises help?
It depends on the cause of the peripheral neuropathy, but in general, aerobic exercise is probably more beneficial than specific strengthening exercises for peripheral neuropathy. Other lifestyle factors such as controlling blood sugar and not smoking are important with neuropathy as well.
This is happening to me what are the cures?

That's really impossible to say just based on that information. You'd have to see a healthcare professional in person to get it properly evaluated.
