Lori ... you may have taken away my FEAR of z[ppers!! This is a great tutorial & I love these bags. I have been sewing since jr high home ec & to date have only done one zipper. You have made this look so much easier than I remember (mind you it was around 1970 when I was in jr high!) ... I think I will have to give making these bags a try, thank you for such a great tutorial!!

That was a great tutorial! I don’t even sew, but I could make those after your instruction. When I was around 12, I took a few sewing lessons from a high school neighbor girl (she could tailor), and she was BIG on pressing as you went. That Grinch fabric is adorable!

You make it look so easy, Lori. Love your tutorial. I always had problems with zippers as I wasn't the best sewer. I remember cutting old jeans and making bags n totes. And a lot of laundry bags for friends. The bags are really cute!

I have trouble with fusible fleece. When heated I have wrinkles in the outer fabric. I tried non fusible but it seems to be too bulky. Am I doing something wrong?
I use pellon brand and no stream. I haven’t had issues with wrinkles
I think I can do this with your instructions, but how would you add a handle?
You would stitch it in the seem
