Years ago, when I was a teenager (many years 😂), I started piercing a capsule of Vitamin E and applying it to my face at night. I remember seeing sebaceous filaments that just popped out with no kind of manipulation.
Wow this is very informative I’ve had bad sebaceous filaments and I thought they were blackheads. I never thought of putting oil cleanser to my skin I will try now. I use cerave and I saw they have a new oil cleanser
@@elysianmee i use Paula's Choice BHA liquid exfoliate... This is incredible!!!! Ive had these sebacious filliments since i was 13. ...im now 50...this product is wonderful....Ive been able to squeeze most out off my nose. I can shout this magnificent product from the roof tops!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’ve been using unicorn oil from Kindred Black and rubbing it into my nose for a few minutes before falling asleep. Some of the stuff in the pores starts to come out while I’m rubbing the oil in. I have a dry wash cloth in then take the oil off with and go to bed. I’ve also used ponds cold cream in the past and that works well for these too but I started becoming allergic to a lot of products and can’t really use it anymore.
@@saadshakir3346you should be careful cause it can clog pores, but it does dissolve the oil. Oil cleansers are better than straight oil because they dont clog the pores as much, but plain oil works on some people
How many days a week would you suggest this used? The Paula’s Choice one says it usable daily, twice a day. Thanks for the content also, great explanation
Hey there :) yes some brands do advertise that you can exfoliate daily. But you shouldn’t unless you have been prescribed a specific skincare routine by a esthetician or a dermatologist who have analyzed your skin. Over exfoliation can lead to a damaged skin barrier which causes more issues on the skin. I wouldn’t exfoliate anymore than 2-3 x per week and if you are using retinol too - you only need to exfoliate 1-2 x per week as retinol is also exfoliating. It will depend on your skin and the products you are using at home :)
A leave on serum is the best :) Otherwise a toner over the face wash. You want the salicylic acid on the skin as long as possible for it to do it’s job. Some people get great results with a cleanser but I just found from myself and clients leave on products with salicylic acid in it works the best xx
If you are brand new to retinol, start off slowly 2x a week then introduce more frequently. Use at night time, and don’t use at the same time as an exfoliating acid serum. Wear spf during the day :) Every skin is different and you may need to make adjustments to your routine depending on your concerns and current products x
I m following this exact routine for 2 months. Firstly it started purging. Now the purging is reduced but still sebaceous filaments are not gone. How much time it may take?
It can take as long as a year. But if you stay patient and consistent, you're going to get that glass skin for sure. Also, make sure you are washing off the remaining oil with the 60 second rule when cleansing and moisturise!!! Salicylic acid and Retinol can be extremely drying to the skin. Lastly, Sunscreen. Most. Important.
