You went at this in such a different way than I expected! I totally thought the way to go would be to try your best to get poisoned in Viridian Forest and spam non offensive moves. You mapped this out super well. I guess Blue is so OP that he needs to beat gym leaders just to lose, that’s kind of crazy to me. Thanks for the shoutout, looking forward to more challenges :D
I think there are a few ways to do it, idk if running around getting poisoned is faster. Weedles have only a 1/10 chance to inflict the status with poison sting, and they can spam string shot at well since they can’t run out of PP in gen 1. So I just decided to find the teams that can do the most damage the fastest. Maybe I can help others try this challenge on Discord to see what other strategies come up
@@m_tiberius yours seems much more consistent then, because you can reliably expect to take the damage when you need to. If you got super lucky and all six mons got poisoned quickly, it could work. But I really enjoyed your plan
I was wondering if extra trainers in Mt Moon would've been faster but the end practically made my wonder irrelevant. Amazing idea for the video and neat layout! Really like those cards! I'll keep eye on more of your content!
This is such a cool challenge. Finding the quickest path to loose with such high level Pokémon is so interesting. Magneton is debatably the weakest fully evolved electric type of gen 1, so it's nice seeing it claim a win. Against the Champion of Kanto no less!
That engineer at the end was the MVP. Imagine just working in the field installing some cable and the Pokemon champion challenges you, but you clutch a win against him. Question: would you still go back to work in the afternoon now that you are the most powerful trainer in Kanto
What an epic challenge 😂😂,and a funny one too. I'd like to see how fast Sliver can lose in crystal too, I bet it's going to be easier. If you'll do a full rom hack I'll probably play it as a nuzlocke because it looks fun. Keep up the good work!😊
That’s another great tactic. It would take some luck, since Poison Sting only has a 1/10 chance and they can’t run out of PP on string shot. I might try a run like that on stream or something in the future
you should play with a realistic intention to win and not double switching to get your team killed faster. i understand this videos gimmick is to lose asap but at least be real about it for valid comparisons down the line
I appreciate how unique this was. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! It was a fun challenge
14:37 glad you caught that too. You’re PP was so insane you lasted nearly an HOUR!
They don’t call Blue the champion for nothing!
Love the video, a run as blue sounds great as well

Nah, I think he’s canonically the champion now. He should report directly to Indigo Plateau

I’d love to do this as Silver as well. It might actually be harder because of the lower levels in Johto
@@m_tiberius Only one way to find out...☺️
yes finally revenge
This is such a cool idea
New sub.
Should have used non-damaging moves against the Viridian Forest bug catchers and hope weedle inflicts poison status early on

Bro Kanto Champion Blue is such a scrub
