I bought this game because of you, finding your relic by accident made me laugh rly hard and i actively follow the development of the game because i believe this has the potential to be the best bullet heaven

Rogue Genesia is honestly just a fun looking game. $5 and you can play a game where there're no stupid schemes or weird plots, just the plain old feeling of being overpowered. 😛

When you tried to lvl8 your crossbow, you could have done it.
To get to lvl8 all you need is a card selection and the card itself.
The limitbreak you were looking for is to get a card to lvl9.
The defense multi does indeed push you further in the negatives. Its the only way to reach -100 defense for the achievement after the -20.
to add to this , there is a steam guide where this is explained step by step because the order of things matter !
You have a weapon at lvl 6 and another at lvl 7. You get the random selection to upgrade the lvl 6 weapon to 7. Then, you use limitbreak to push that weapon to lvl 8, then buy the weapon in the forge to get it to lvl 9. The limitbreak CANNOT put a lvl 8 weapon to lvl 9, only the weapon card can. A lvl 7 weapon is needed prior so that limitbreak shows up, should you refresh after the random selection your weapon will not have a card and cannot be upgraded to lvl 9.
I'm glad you're back at Rogue Genesis again. I really enjoyed your couple of videos before and thought you'd never come back to it although it's one of if not your most favorite bullet heaven-ish game
One thing I noticed when playing the new update is that the -20 armor achievement is way easier to get b/c armorless banishes all cards with the moon tag instead of banishing all cards that affect armor, so all armor down cards are still in the pool.
I wanna see more of this Wander! Hope you manage to make time for it :)

Just an FYI: there may be a maximum number of coins that can be on the field at one time, I definitely saw them despawning while you were standing still.

I'm stuck on the second town with the sea-snake monster boss, usually getting wrecked before the last night. Will try again tonight.
Evasion was MVP in keeping you alive so long in the final region. :O

Maybe the reason it seemed like you weren't leveling was you got to Biome 2 and got basic low tier mobs. They give almost nothing. As soon as you took an elite down, you spiked 20+%.
Played the demo. Went super tank with reflect. Watched your video while I beat boss
I was playing this a bunch back when you introduced it but a glitch in steam cloud save wiped my saves and killed my passion for a while. Maybe with the updates its time to give it another round.
About the leveling pause the level had no bosses or tougher enemies, just fodder. That fodder is worth so little compared to the 2 million you needed the bar barely moves. At that point you really need to focus on bosses if you want levels.

I just found your helmet recently as well. The gun slinger is..interesting. It makes the game a lot more active.

I feel that the best way to get -100 Defense is to grab defense multipliers like Fortress. In the short run, it may look like you're getting further from your goal, but multipliers work both ways.
When the bade defense is negative the multiplier becomes a divider instead. So with 200% defense and -50 base defense you will get -25 defense, not -100. There is an ascendant grade card that reduces the defense multiplier to 10%, meaning it would multiply the negative base defense by 10, making it the easiest way to get -100 defense.
To dispel thee confusion about def multiplier in the other comments, it becomes a divider in the negative, so the only way to get the -100 is to use "lunatic" with negative defense.

Still watching so not sure if mentioned in the video. The corruption level at the top before runs increases game difficulty.
you lose all of your greed stacks when the level ends, so your magnet gold isnt buffed if picked up after the stage ends
Rogue Genesia is the only one of these I think is worth playing for more than about 10-15 minutes. Even better than the "original", Vampire Survivors, IMO.

Do not like the new XP/health overlay that floats above your head. It covers way too much of the game and more importantly enemies and projectiles coming from above. It definitely distracts your eye when you're trying to focus on what's happening too.
Jesus Christ you're literally interrupted every 3 seconds for levelling up.
Vampires survivors is better
music is really out of place in this game its to much like electronic for a fantasy game belongs more in cyberpunk than here
