Death Aura saved your life more times than you can count.
All the times you walked right up to enemies and they died right before you made contact. That was Death Aura. Its not a skill for reaching out and slaying hordes of enemies. Its for killing them, right before they kill you. Its the last chance to stop them and it works quite well. The only hits you were taking were from projectiles because Death Aura was working as intended.

Everything grows from Base Damage. Crit Damage Multiplier, Damage Multiplier, they don't mean crap, if they're multiplying from zero. Also, don't neglect your defense. You were pretty much a Glass Cannon in this one. A Glass Cannon with a lot of Regen, anyway.

Oh hey I was playing this on Monday and was trying to get the swordrang up to 8 as well. Instead of following that I ended up evolving the Shuriken + Kunai.
Shurikens Ahoy is also my favorite cookie.
If you still do not know how to get Lv9, you get the weapon to Level 6, another item to level 7 so that you can get the Limit Break, then in a shop you get the Limit Break and a Card Selection and the item you want to get to level 7 so that you get it to 7 with the Card Selection, use the open option to get to 8, then Limit Break to get to 9 in the same shop, unless this has changed with recent updates
fun fact wander was the one who found this in the first place and it was a bug, but the dev thought it was cool and made it a part of the game.

I know Mind Corruption is supposed to look like a brain, but it also looks like a guy mooning you.
Considering the card's name, surely that's deliberate.
I see you are still on the main branch, which is now quite old (3 month old), the beta is open to anyone (not requiring a code)
the next update should land fairly soon (1/2 weeks at most)
This video is also pretty old, so I wanted to get it out before that update dropped.

I haven't checked the video thoroughly to be sure but I think you might have banished one of the base parts of metal transmutation? At the very least you were ignoring them. It is a Synergy and has a requirement chain to pay attention to if your actively trying for it.
Metal transmutation is not a synergy.
It is a heroic card with three levels.
Synergies have their own rarity color.
@@davidbritton5282 Direct from the in game card encyclopedia : "Synergy of Steel Skin, Moon Shield, and Benediction."
It used to be heroic, but was changed at some point to be a Synergy card. (Some of the wiki is of date right now.)

@@davidbritton5282 Requirements have been added to a ton of cards in v9 and part of the reason is to limit the initial size of the card pool.
If you go into a run with a plan the system actually makes it a bit easier to target build as there's less "filler" cards in the way of the unlock path - and once unlocked Synergies seem to show up really quickly.

Does anyone else have performance issues with this game? I have a decent laptop that can run most games without any issues, but for some reason this game just lags and freezes constantly.

As you level up, the background music changes in a really annoying way. I hope this sloeing effect doesn't appear in the full version.
