I just test-drove one today, and I have to say it's worth it. It really is next level compare to the AT4. If they put a diesel engine in it, I would buy it. It really is just a very refined comfortable off-roader that you could trust on most off-road ( proper) situations with a half-ton. Now, if you are a serious trail jokey, this truck is not for you. One could not fit this thing down most of those trails, but the tech in this truck's makes the large size easy to manage. I could see it working well for the kind of off-roading hunters and some overlanders would do, but not the off-roading jeep/Tacoma people might do. If that helps.
It's nice, alot of the stuff inside I don't need, I never used it on the escalade I had. I bought a 2023 silverado 1500 custom 4x4, with a fee extras, last year. I have become a simple man in the last few years. But, this truck is very nice, just more than I needed.
My mistake on the heated steering wheel. You did mention it at the end of the video. I am sitting in my office chair trying to make it massage me, but no luck. I need the GMC!

Not many people can afford a truck at over $80K, add tax, dealer fees and add on it's getting close to $100K. Sierras are already stacking up at my local dealer with these prices, and I'm in an affluent area with lots of outdoorsy things to do.
I think this truck is for the people that _can_ afford it, what are you even on about again? What was even the point in this post? I’ve never seen a statement from Mercedes that said “everyone can afford an S-class”. I’ve never seen GMC make such claims about range topping trim level Sierras.
@@G-Ratedpeople lease the S class, and truck people buy trucks. What am I on about? Just read my post and you should be able to noodle it out for yourself.
Kind of an idiotic comment, considering most Sierras are specd in the upper 50k to lower 70k range. This is an AT4X which pushes the price much higher than the average model. The 2018 model year topped out at a tick under $70,000. You can get a SLT with more options than that 2018 Denali for $64,000 now.
at over 80K for these higher end trucks these loans better start going out to 8 years, lol, not many people can afford a $850 - $1,100/month car payment
when they say top speed, take it with a grain of salt. it's likely they just set the limiter that low, but some manufacturers also do it to prevent someone from driving too far if someone stole one, which does happen. besides there are no speed limits anywhere that allow you to go 98, but i remember cars from the late 80's when i was a small kid, and they used to put 85 or 95 in some cars for top speed. but that was mostly American cars, still most cars even from that time period can go over a 100, but there was a law back then i forget the name of now, but i believe the speedometer in 80's and early 90's cars had to do with the driving laws at the time. by the mid 90's however, you started seeing more cars with 110 to 140mph top speed. another thing to note is that, most cars atleast from 1960 to 1989 didn't have a limiter. but the problem with older cars, was heat build up if you push the car to it's maximum acceleration. so even if you wanted to see how fast it can go, the car would likely overheat if you go past a certain point. cars that are more efficient can get up to those speeds more, but even they have a limit.
Lol. What difference does it make? GMC (the manufacturer) doesn’t require you to pay them. Who’s holding a gun to your head and enforcing that you sign the dotted line on marked up products?? And is that the ONLY and _single_ GMC dealership in your entire state?? I highly doubt it. Y’all complaining just for the sake of complaining at this point.
Sofyan, dude! I made this comment on another of your videos, but you gotta stop calling GM #2 in pickup sales. It's probably been the case for a handful of years now that GM is the overall sales leader for full-size pickups. In Q1 of this year, the Silverado and Sierra collectively outsold the F-150 by 20,000 units. So yes, the F-150 is the individual sales leader, but GM sells more full-size pickups than any other automaker.
I'm curious if there are others out there who do not like having the wiper control on the turn signal stalk where you have to turn the dial to operate it. It makes more ergonomic and safety sense with the wiper control on it's own stalk on the right side of the steering column like most vehicles. You are able to quickly engage the wiper with a flick of the stalk to do mist or set to speed. It's the same motion as the turn signal as you are able to keep your hands on the steering wheel which makes more safety sense during wet/snowy/inclement weather. GM and Ford have the wiper control on the turn signal stalk on their trucks but have wiper control stalks on their cars, why the difference? With the truck's transmission shifter now either on the dash or center console I don't see the reason why they keep it on the turn signal. It's a big annoyance of mine to have it like this.
Some models on work trucks and things like that still have column shifters, so they can cheap out by having wiper controls in the turn signal stalk on every model. Reduces production complexity.
Yes HATE it. I also own a 2021 Escalade, and this is weird. So many functions could be engaged in a second stick. I just bought a 2023 AT4, wishing now I bought an AT4X but I am a city driver. Ego only but it seems like every mod is just doing what the ATX already has. Oh well.
Did they ever learn how to paint?I purchased a black 2013 brand new and it looked like my little girl painted it, orange peel from too to bottom.took it back and they said if the others on the lot were the same they'd fix it, they all had it.went to Toyota dealer out of curiosity and their black trucks looked like it ten feet deep, perfectly clear not blurry.took it back to my body shop and was going to wet sand and buff it but there wasn't enough paint.drove it for about a year and got a new tundra that shined like new money.
So they give you the masaging seats, but take away the wireless charger? I guess if the took the chips out of the seat, they wouldn't even have heated seats...the chip shortage is creating some oddly spec'd vehicles that consumers will have to navigate both on the new and used market for years to come.

Ignoring a trim like this, most of GMs trucks aren’t even keeping up with inflation. You can get more features for the inflation adjusted price than a decade ago.
