    I have a 2011 Duramax Denali with 283,000 miles. I planned on keeping it until I die. GM has finally made a Truck worth the upgrade.

      283k! WHAT? INCREDIBLE! I love that 2011! 🔥
      I kind of feel the same way you do.... from the time you got yours, until this recent one there were just some major missing pieces in my opinion, even though they were amazing trucks, and I've had a few of them, this one seems to cover all the bases even with the little issues the truck has finally become world class!

      I had a 2010 3500 Duramax, wish I still had it. Never any DPF problems, freeway mpg was amazing if I didn't exceed 70 mph, though it had quite a thirst fOR DEF. Now I have a 2016 powerstroke. It's a great truck except for the never ending need for a 45 minute drive to nowhere just to clean the particulate filter. I'm ready for a new truck but it seems they all choke on stop and go driving. I'm trying to decide between another Duramax or a Godzilla. Wife has a 2023 Yukon AT4 and we both love it.

    Picked up my 2024 2500 Ultimate in June. My retirement present after 40 yrs. driving a semi for UPS. We love the truck and have had no problems whatsoever with it. Love the cameras in this thing. They are supposed to come out with a wireless camera you can mount behind our travel/cargo trailers that gives you the full 360 visual around the entire rig. We had a F-150 that we really liked but it struggled pulling our toys around, especially in the mountains. Not a problem with the new truck. I see you are down in Tennessee. One of our favorite atv/off road parks is down by you ( Wind Rock). Anyways hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours

      I’ve been buying Fords lately, 17’ 350 Lariat, 21’ 250 Lariat, 21’ 350 Platinum and my current truck, a 22’ 250 King Ranch Tremor. I have a 24’ 350 Platinum that is in production, but I’m honestly thinking about getting an Ultimate instead. I really like what GMC did with the 24’s redesign, and I feel like outside of the powertrain, (I still prefer the Powerstroke and Ford’s version of the 10-speed) GMC really outpaces the Ford as far as design and appearance goes.

    I have had mine for 7 months, and it is my favorite vehicle that I have driven in over 40 years of driving vehicles. Everything you mentioned is right on the money, the good and the bad . Super Cruise is not offered in GM's HD's, the new global B architecture needs additional memory to handle super cruise, supposedly they are working on it, my guess is it may not appear until the next update. I'm getting over 550 miles with the 36-gallon fuel tank, combination city, and highway griving. The cameras are amazing and makes the truck very easy to park. A Neat feature I recently found is double press and hold down the unlock button on your remote, and all the windows will open (remote window operation has to be enabled in your setup). Also, in settings, you have the option of keeping the running boards deployed while parked. Many features and settings that let you customize the truck to your liking. I tow a 32 foot camper from Florida to Michigan, and the towing experience is great, 15 to 16 mpg, tows thru the mountains like nothing is behind you, vary relaxed towing experience. Take care.

    • @GabrielSedlakOfficial
      @GabrielSedlakOfficial  11 місяців тому +3

      I love what you said and totally agree!
      If not my very favorite it's one of the top two or three for SURE!!
      Yeah, I'm excited about the supercruise. I've had it on other vehicles and I do think it's a pretty fantastic feature I agree that 550+ is what I'm getting as well 😁
      Even with all five of us and a bunch of junk in the bed it just floats at low RPMs on long road trips comfortably! 🙏🏼
      The window feature is amazing! I wish they would go back up too LOL, but hey, at least they got the going down one right.
      Also, a handy feature is that auto-start even with all the doors open works.
      I really like how flexible it is... I've had other vehicles where all of the safety mechanisms have to be turned on every door has to be closed. It goes through the safety check and even though that's super important sometimes just being able to auto-start it at any moment it's super helpful. I'm glad they got that worked out.
      I had no idea that the running boards could be deployed while parked 🤯
      That's a great feature... another prevention from door dingers that may want to park too close.
      I agree the truck no matter what you're carrying you don't even realize it, that engine just doesn't even breathe hard.
      Thanks so much for the comments and thanks for watching the video. Blessings!

    Got mine a little over a week ago and am in love with it! Not sure if you knew or not, but you can actually change the shortcuts on the left of the infotainment screen. All you have to do is drag and drop things from your home screen. I replaced the top trailer shortcut on top with the camera function since I don't tow that much. Way more convenient than having to go to the home screen every time.

      And thanks for the reminder. I totally forgot about the movability. I did it when I first got it, but then I got into a routine. I'm definitely going to move all the icons around and figure out which ones I want and leave the ones least used behind the column shift area. Smart! 👍

    Great video. I’m really glad I got a 2024 3500 LT Duramax instead. I have the same engine, transmission, brakes, 13 inch infotainment system with the same camera views..bed, hitch, etc…, multi-folding tailgate, center console…but Chevy doesn’t have the brake controller on the console location allowing for more room so you don’t “hit a tailgate button”, my column shifter doesn’t block the radio view, etc…. Now the front end lights and grill on the Ultimate are much fancier but honestly it’s the same truck otherwise. I paid $73k and the Ultimate is $114k That’s a $41k price difference.

    I currently own a 2024 3500 Denali Ultimate. My previous was a 2023 2500 Denali. The first time my mom road in the 3500; "Wow, I thought this would ride rougher than your 2500." My wife and I don't notice a real difference at all in the ride. The feel of the leather from the last one to the Ultimate is night and day; much nicer. We went to a 3500 b/c of a 5th wheel.

    Enjoyed the review, I have the 1500 3.0 Duramax and love it. The interior is well done, and seats are way better. The lake of ambient lighting (Ram and Ford have it), Pano roof, and the Bose audio are my biggest complaints on a truck in this price range but I also realize The GMC has some features the other guys don't. I Dont need a HD but I love the bigger bolder look, and the new exterior lighting.. My Ram headlights moved in the corners, does rhe HD?

    • @GabrielSedlakOfficial

      LOVE THAT 1500!!
      I've driven it with that engine and it's very special for sure! That 3.0 is definitely brilliant....and QUIET!
      I do love ambient light for sure...really wish they did that.
      Having had the New Mercedes S class and the New EQS ruined us to ambient ...best in the biz! 🤯
      Agree Pano would be great...
      Stereo, I listen to teaching & Audible most of the time.... maybe I should crank up the tunes more 😁
      Headlight... Would you illuminate the sides pretty well the auto feature is wonderful but for that price point, they could go all out with them because I know the headlight wars out there, especially in the higher end vehicles just leave everything else in the dust, turning lights, cornering lights, multi-dimensional lights that cut away, oncoming traffic and illuminate other areas, the road, etc., etc. I shouldn't be nitpicky but that is such an incredible safety feature. I just wish they would've done that on the big trucks just to make them otherworldly. I know they have the tech to do it.
      Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching! 👍

    Hope to see following additions in the future...
    Passenger mirror doubles as a mini TV, it can extend out 10 inches or so and back to normal size mirror when not in tv mode.
    Add recliner seats for all seats (yes even the driver during self drive mode)
    Seats can combine with back seats and convert into a bed
    Add tv screen into the back of the driver/front passenger seats for the back passengers
    Heated floors, and (the seat is already heated but add arm rests with heat too)
    Full rear window should go all the way down (electric controlled)
    Panoramic WIndow (electric controlled)
    All windows should be controlled by voice command for lowering and raising (come to think of it, all controls be voice command, no reaching for buttons)
    Install a lift (not just a bed step) -Great for loading bricks or generator ect.
    Interior mood lighting multi-color options
    AC mood fragrance, install 5-10 of your favorite scents bottles into AC system
    During self driving, steering wheel retreats and seats can turn to face each-other for a more social environment with the family (middle compartment retreats to open floor plan up)
    Pop out table for eating or laptop work, mini fridge built into back seat that slides out and even microwave built into door for each passenger (miniature sizes just to fit a cup of water) enough to heat tea, coffee or hot cocoa on those long winter drives

    Have a 2500 AT4. Also has the sticky glovebox. Figured out if I kind of push the right side of the button, it opens fine.
    Love all of the same things you said. One other I love is the lane departure warning built into the seats. It's suttle enough without being annoying. I've had some that start beeping noises in the vehicle, or want to jerk the vehicle back into the lane.
    I also love the cameras and one of the best parts is that the left and right cameras on the mirrors automatically come on in full screen when you put the turn signal on while towing. It's an amazing safety feature.

    Great Review!! Couple things about mine:
    1. Disappointed with the tailgate recall they’re acting like isn’t a big deal as there’s no fix yet, mine crashed down while I was towing causing damage, which they fixed, but the tailgate has two other times on its own.
    2. Running boards came up on my son’s foot, didn’t crush his foot luckily.
    3. I didn’t know about the max tow package so luckily didn’t get that because it drives like a Cadillac compared to my Raptor I had before.

      The Max tow package is slipped in there many time on the build sheet with the 5th wheel as a "resale" idea from the dealers many times.

      That could have easily been designed a bit better.
      I plan on putting some very thin glovebox felt on the sliders so they open smoother and quieter. 🤓🧐

    Good morning. Good video. #1 enjoy your truck. Let the negative comments roll on. I moved from the 2020 Denali Hd to the ‘24 Hd ultimate. I’m in NC. The first thing I did within 2 days was tint the windows. My previous was tinted and noticed immediately the sun blasting me and my family 😂. Agree with you about the shifter and tailgate button. The trailer brake is in a better position, GM got that right. I like the extra HP and torque when I tow. The seats are better. With the lumbar adjustment,I like the addition of the bolster adjustment. The mods that I had on my previous, I added to this one as well. Mostly dealing with the outer trim and lights. For instance my OCD kicks in with the license plate lights. All that hd lighting in the rear and they install bulbs for the plate that my grandmother used in her house. Again, enjoy!

      Hey, thanks so much for the comments, really appreciate it. I know you and your family are loving your new ride! You made a great choice. I'm glad I'm not the only one who realizes those little things could definitely be worked out better.
      I am thankful as soon as I got the truck, they had already tinted all the windows for me, so it keeps us from roasting, but you're right the GM glass doesn't push out the rays like some other vehicles do...gotta tint it!
      It's CRAZY.... you will see the most amazing vehicle and they'll do everything right and then they will go super cheap on a lightbulb or a piece of plastic or something. That just makes zero sense LOL!!

    I have a 21 GMC 2500 Crew, Also 24 GMC 2500 Crew Both with Duramax Motors. The 21 Is Almost Identical at least in the SLT Version. I Actually Was Going To Continue To Drive The 21 but What Changed My Mind Was Watching The Gale Banks Video Who Was Very Instrumental In The Major Engine Upgrades. My Truck with a 11,000 Miles on The 24 and That Truck will Literally Break The 37”x12” NITTO Tires. I Suggest Banks Performance Tuner.

      The diesel is flawless quite and tons of power! I was VERY surprised how much I loved it....so much so I get a Denali Yukon with it in it.... and the 1500 had even more HP.
      The 6.2 is tried and true and bullet proof, with a great V8 sound, but has the same torque #'s as the diesel
      I think day in day out if you're not launching it off the line all the time.... the diesel is the winner ( personally)
      I've also had the 6.2 in an Ultimate Yukon also amazing.... but that diesel is so easy to live with....and the mpg is awesome!
      The color choice is tough! Those are both GREAT options! @@andreadimatteo7988

    Surprised if you haven’t heard of them, but duramax tuner or PPEI can tune your truck to run more efficiently and give you more safe usable power. This tuning is completely emissions compliant. I hear ya on the noise, but deleting is gonna make it more reliable and last a lot longer. A good muffler/resonator will keep it damn near stock noise level in cab. I prefer the smell of diesel over gas, and I don’t mind the noise outside…the cabs are so well insulated now you can’t tell.

    • @GabrielSedlakOfficial
      @GabrielSedlakOfficial  11 місяців тому +1

      Hey that sounds amazing. I'll definitely look into it. Thanks so much for the recommendation. I like the reliability that you mentioned, and if the sound is about the same that's a big plus! I was also looking at the Banks tuner set up because they have extensively been working on it for the new 2024, but the one you're talking about definitely sounds great! 👍

    • @Steadierpark
      @Steadierpark 11 місяців тому +1

      @@GabrielSedlakOfficial yeah the banks and edge tuners won’t leave a trace on you ecm. Tuning with the guys i mentioned will and can void your warranty. If you want the warranty I’d use banks until it’s gone, then do custom tuning.

    • @FloridaTwoWheelAdventures
      @FloridaTwoWheelAdventures 11 місяців тому +2

      Going with the Banks gear is the best option. Deleting a truck is just plain dumb right now. It not only voids your warranty but it’s a federal crime.
      The only thing I’ll say about the Banks equipment is this: they have not completely sorted out the cold air intake. They supply you with an inline module to compensate for the additional air flow the computer is not expecting to see but it still triggers a check engine light sporadically. It’ll be code P22FB. Nothing happens, the truck will still run, but you’ll have a check engine light illuminated. If you get the Banks iDash you can clear the code so it’s basically an annoyance. I just wish they’d get it sorted out permanently.
      I have the Derringer, iDash, Ram Air Intake, and Pedal Monster on my truck. All of it really makes the truck fun to drive. I have a 2023 model so your engine is ever so slightly different. For what you seem to want, the iDash and Derringer would probably be enough. The Pedal Monster is really just for kicks, it doesn’t add any power. Think of it as on the fly throttle pedal recalibration. Example: You push down 20% on the go pedal and the device tells the truck you pushed down 60%. It eliminates any lag due to the throttle by wire mechanism. It’s $300 you don’t have to spend but would be glad you did.

    • @Steadierpark
      @Steadierpark 11 місяців тому

      Deleting your truck is probably the best thing for the truck’s longevity, just not good if you want a warranty where your truck is broken half the time for emissions or you’re a Biden supporter and far leftist. Of course there’s the far left states and counties that have made it impossible to delete your truck, and that’s a product of the people living there who voted that crap in. Banks and all these guys who are pushing the epa’s woke agenda are hedging on trying to control the market because they saw the writing on the wall. Make more laws to charge the consumer more and put the little guys out of business. I don’t want the garbage warranty. I don’t want the garbage emissions. I’ll work on it myself because I can and I’m a man. I’ll take the financial responsibility because I’m a man and I can. But it sounds like he wants a warranty and he loves emissions. So he’s better off buying into banks and the epa. I told him that. When you drive past me or anyone else who’s deleted, remember we’re the alpha.

    Did you notice that your truck came with a strange extension wire with 120 Volt female plug at one end and a three pin plug at the other end? If you look at your front bumper on the bottom driver's side, just beside the wheel well, there is a little door about 1 inch by one inch, this is a 120 Volt AC outlet for that weird extension that you have. You can have your doors closed and locked (with the engine running) and get access to the 120 Volt AC output to run small applications.

    When we were last truck shopping, the Mrs. and I took a good hard loot at an AT4 Sierra. We ultimately passed on it because its missing a lot of the features that we liked in the Titan XD even though the GMC was significantly more expensive.... still.... what a beautiful beast it is!

    I'm looking at an SLE trim version of this truck (for personal and work use) and I can't believe how many of these features have trickled down into the lower trim versions of the truck. I still can't believe we're looking at paying $90,000 CAD. for one of these though; I still can't justify an added $30,000 for the Denali Ultimate features but they do look nice.
