Mean exhaust from factory. Thumbs up to GM on that one
It’s dealer preference my 2020 AT4 didn’t come with it but I will be paying the 1200 for get it I staled
If only this thing had the same interior as the upcoming Yukon.
You might have to wait for a refresh, or a redesign. GM's SUVs have the same interior, so it would be nice to see that on their trucks as well.
Yukon Denali flat infotainment? Or lower level Yukon with fancy floating infotainment?
@@MrSelvin78 I'd take either but I prefer the Denali's with the integrated infotainment system.
I was given a 2019 AT4 as a work/company truck that has a 6” lift with 35’s and its a beast and still handles very well both off road and on the highways. Love this truck. I don’t really notice the interior issues because it still has all of the bells and whistles as a Ford or Ram. I do use it as a mobile office as well and it works out great for me.
0:51 . Not a Raptor competitor . More like Rebel and TRD Pro competitor . Raptor is a class of its own
I agree here. The raptor is in a class by itself. There’s no two ways around that.
I love my 19 Sierra!! I get complements all the time. And even with SLE trim has everything you need!
GMC really got the small accents on the exterior down. Gotta give it to their designers on that area. Exhaust sounds great for something straight outta the factory
I have a 2019 ram 1500 and I got to check a at4 at the LA auto show and it blew me away one of the most beautiful trucks I have ever seen and been in. Quite honestly the interior was beautiful everything in it was great
Exterior is really really good looking
The 6.2 V8 with the dealer's catback exhaust is perfect
That interior design is a bit outdated but the quality is solid and it has the needed equipment so that's not a flag in my opinion.
Just bought my 20/20 AT4 Sierra and nothing but good reviews and the look is to kill for cannot believe the power that's behind this MACHINE it sounds great it drives great GMC greatest machine created
Im looking at a 20 AT4 tomorrow. With 5.3 10 speed transmission. In gray.
Phenomenal review Sofyan! I must admit that the AT4 is a terrific trim level that provides the best of both worlds in power and style, but I also wish some carbon fiber trim pieces would have been present in the interior since it’s the sportiest offering of the Sierra nonetheless. - Michael
I don’t leave comments very often but I have to say that was well done and I look forward to watching your other videos. Great Job!
I am not a truck person, but I can say that multifunctional tailgate looks fascinating! Piece of work by GMC!
I have the 2019 6.2L version of this and I love it. Best truck I have ever owned. I love the interior. It is a truck... Not a luxury car or a Denali. That's what I love about it. It has all of the tech I need, wireless charging and apple car play. USB-C all that. I don't need to scroll through options to change the temp or adjust things. I bought it because of that. There is no chrome on it and it doesn't look tacky or cheap. That is the main reason I never wanted a Denali. GMC should defiantly upgrade the interior of the Denali line to match all the bling and branding that comes with it and leave the AT4 alone. it is a fast, wonderful riding truck that I don't feel bad about tracking mud into, hauling kids, doing bottle drives or mudding it up. I don't see many people do that in a Denali or RAM.
PS the two cameras on the back are not for the LED rear view mirror. That is above the third brake light.
Yes. There is.
It doesn’t say Denali everywhere.
This is what I am getting at. Upgrade the interior of the Denali to match the ridiculous interior of the Ram. Leave the AT4 and other trims alone so we don’t all get forced to buy into all of the options we don’t want or will never use.
K A the AT4 should get an interior to match its price. And the interiors are the same. Just swap AT4 logos for Denali logos
So it’s different...
Upgrade the Denali. People who want that type of interior could then get everything at that level.
I love the interior. Perfect combination of tech and simplicity. I don’t Ming putting the dog or sticky kids in my AT4. New Ram interior is way too over the top for me. It really adds nothing but bigger screens and endless menus that I would only cycle through once until the novelty wore off.
Meh I will still spend my 60k on a rebel that have a better interior and also towing and payload and also fastness and the 5.7 0 to 60 is 6.0 seconds as the 6.2 is 5.7 seconds and as the 3.5 ecoboost 0 to 60 is 5.6 seconds and the raptor 0 to 60 is from 4.9 to 5.1 seconds
This is one of the most complete reviews what I’ve see. 👍🏻
On point with interior! As far as comparisons with other trucks I gotta say “to each their own”. Every truck has its niche. No ONE truck has it all and definitely not a price point where everyone that wants a truck can buy it. So buy what you like. I like all trucks.. EVERY SINGLE ONE! They all serve their purpose!
Wow..that sound ..!!!
Amazing..!!!
Good job on the review, I just purchased one about five days ago and I love it. But I would agree with you on the interior, the 6.2 liter is the way to go, mine came with the tow mirrors which actually look really good on it
Pricing out a 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 (6.2L) right now. They ain't cheap...but, neither is the competition. Thanks for doing a GREAT review on this. Your way of presenting vehicles is A+
Great in-depth review. Thanks for that!
4:59 love the sound
I have a 2019 Ram Limited and love it, but I really love the exterior of this new Sierra even more. If they upped the interior on the Sierra, this could be my next truck, but until then . . .
George Kraus The Ram and anything Chrysler are voted the most unreliable vehicles year after year. You have a slightly nicer interior inside an unreliable vehicle with the reputation of being the “lower class working mans truck”
You just bought a 2019 Dodge... why do you need a new truck already? Unless you got the spare change to play with. If so I take away by comment... your money your truck.
The sound of that exhaust is intoxicating 😍
I seen this truck in person & was astonished at the height & size when parked. That’s a bad truck there, in many ways lol
Dexter Smith no such thing as a pickup truck being to huge come on now give credit where it’s due General Motors killed the exterior
GMC engineers: How big do you want the front grill....
YES!
It's not that big compared to the size of the truck, have you seen a Toyota Camry lately ?
Considering the issues GM has had with some overheating, I don't blame them for these grills...Also, nothing ugly about this grill, at all...Put it next to a Lexus......
Every generation of GMC truck since 1988 had had a larger grille since its predecessor. We've now reached a point where it's ridiculously large and foolish looking
12:49 when the exhaust make Sofyan laugh like a witch lol
Damm that exhaust sound sick.
Thank god GM is doing an entire redesign of the Sierra and Silverado interiors for the 2022 non-Limited 1500. Seeing the images on their sites, it’s now hands down the most gorgeous interior of any truck on the market and actually looks modern now. I’m glad they’re finally coming for Ford and Ram’s necks.
That multi tailgate is so useful and practical! My dad just bought one and hasn’t had any problems.
Alexander Aleman the only of it’s kind. While RAM was focusing on interiors and having the largest screens first, GMC was working on how to make their trucks more useful and practical in the field. GM remains the most innovative in the class.
It’s hilarious that when speaking of GM, someone has to through in that it hasn’t had problems!! Even brand new. 😂
I wish gm would just listen to the new comers, and fix the interior on these... lots of people going to ram cause of interiors.
mold man the great it could certainly use improvement. But it’s not nearly as bad as people like to think. Sure, nothing close to the Ram. But still better quality than the F150. Granted that’s been around awhile.
@@joshtavenner3073 it's likely for GM to use the Yukon interior for the redesign of this truck. Don't know when that will be, since the Tahoe/suburban and Yukon have been unveiled, and we're awaiting the escalade soon.
Who buys trucks based off interiors? Certainly not people who use their truck for work
You are right, enough people going to Ram because of their interiors and their exterior design and the proof is in Ram sliding into the #2 spot ahead of chevy/gmc for the first time in forever. But I will say this....all those Ram owners will be switching back soon to either the gm twins the f150 or maybe even the new tundra coming out soon simply because of the lack of reliability and durability as well as dependability that has plagued the ram brand forever. They simply DO NOT stand the test of time. Engines are solid in the ram but the transmissions and the electrical engineering are not sound and will cause many a headache as the car ages. They simply are not well engineered and are not screwed together very well from an engineering and manufacturing standpoint. They are definitely beautiful but that is if little value sitting in a repair shop way way way more often then not over the course of its lifetime. Just have no faith in ram. Gm twin only a notch it two better. I'm very interested in the new tundra. Nissans truck is not bad at all I just wouldn't put my hard earned money into knew when there are sooooo many better choices out there. Cheers.
That thing sounds epic!
If I bought a GM truck I’d want that interior. Simple and clean. Easy to use.
You are right on point in regards of the interior, I do own a 2019, the quality is average, a lack of creativity on the design. Awesome review, very professional, well put together. Keep up your amazing work!
I think it’s possible their core customer did tell them they liked the same interior. The reason ram surpassed them is that ram was able to get new customers who maybe did have trucks or had SUVs before due to the screen.
I know of so many people that have problems with chev/gmc it’s nuts. All marketing. GMC professional grade. Laugh my ass off
For one, I don't mind the smaller utilitarian screen. Really when you're driving, the most dangerous thing you can do while driving is look at and play with an expansive touch screen, when you can control virtually all features in the GMC via button and knob as well as touch screen. Besides, large touchscreen is best at park, and we use these trucks to drive, not pose...
Man that exhaust system sounds mean. I love it
Just bought a 2020 at4 6.2 with carbon pro body.....mean as hell...love it
Super nice exhaust note.
I wonder if that back tailgate will work after years of sun, rain and salt from winters.
Same thought here. I think the plastic tailgate handle will be the failure point. GM is not known for high-quality plastics.
@@haze1123 Their suppliers usually aren't known for quality, GM doesn't build most of those components. I work at a GM subsidiary in Detroit and we make HVAC components for these and all of the HD and commercial trucks, but the heater core hoses and and some of the actuators that we install for dashboard blend doors and other small secondary HVAC parts are outsourced from China smh. I "think" the tailgates for these themselves are manufactured separately in Hamtramck, Michigan near us and freighted back to the assembly plant in Flint, Michigan for production though, so they may be mostly OK over time.
@@Stressless2023 Cool to hear from someone who works in Detroit. I hope these trucks do hold up well, because I want GM to succeed.
@@haze1123 I wish GM didn't make alot of the critical business decisions that they make which is what gives the corporation such a negative general reputation in most parts of the country, but yeah I always hope for the best because alot of us would be completely out of work otherwise and this whole state (Michigan) would probably become a wasteland (hence the bailout a few years back). GM put food on my family's table for over 2 generations though (my mother and her father) since the 1940's when my grandfather started so I remain loyal to GM and American car companies in general, but I can't be biased about the sad truths. But at least know my plant is accredited and we have pride in our workmanship, so if all else fails just know your heat and A/C components in your Silverado/Sierra were manufactured with quality by us lol.
SuchANiceGirl22 I’ll take GM quality over a lot of their competitors. From experience and owning GM I trust their process and I feel they’ve improved over the years in this regard. They must keep going, it’s the only way to put a end to the constant negativity and trolling that follows their every move wherever there’s a comment section that will allow it.
Thanks for this review, very honest and helpful
Me personally I like the interior it's simple and easy to use.
I agree...it will be interesting to see how well the Ram interior holds up with all the detail, in the years to come. Bet the GM interior looks better in 10 years than the Rams.
Yeah I like it. You buy a truck to tow and haul crap. Sure it needs to be nice for this price but man the Ram is over the top luxury. And awful reliability 👎🏼
Same I was just watching a video of the ram 🐏 and the interior just had too much going on to me,not a fan of the piano black on it either
I have the exact same truck and actually love the interior, its very user friendly,i dont need a flat screen tv in my truck, enough distractions as it is imo
A just bought a 2021 version of this exact truck. LOVE IT!
Looks amazing!! 😍😍😍
Sound of the 6.2 with the interior of the Aviator
Solid review video! Nice job!
Great video! Thats exactly how I feel about the Chevy's and GMC's. They really need to do something about their interior.
I drive a Mazda6, which has probably seen more off roading than most trucks in suburbia will in their life time (joys of living in a more rural area). I would be lying if I said I didn't want a truck, and the Sierra looks really nice. My wife does drive a Chevy Colorado, and I enjoy driving that truck a lot.
First look at the side, the mags looks like a ford everest far away😁the tailgate is awesome
i was a gmc fan but i have to decide to go ram because of the interior! i prioritize interior because i am the one whos always inside the car! and interior should be comfortable and beautiful!
Nice detailed review. GMC Sierra looks awesome.
I just bought one and absolutely love it
It’s fast makes me feel like I am driving my 19 NSX.
That v8 sound 👍
Best part of video was 5:00, start up and rev out. Sweet!
Just plain WOW!!
*Big boys coming with the big trucks,*
*Feel so clean, like a money machine.*
I like the new Sierras and even the Silverados have grown on me, but GM needs to up their interior game. Props for keeping column shifter alive though.
I've always had the impression that he is not a tall guy, but the truck just makes him looks even smaller. 😆
Wow that exhaust
Great review as always. If the interior was better, this truck would be king of all.
Thinking of buying one of these right now so bad, but I’m resisting myself to wait for the refreshed 2021 instead just for the interior !
5:13 MUSCLE TRUCK!!!
Some people bash American cars for their reliability, but I think some american cars are pretty good. My family had a Chevy Cavalier and never had any major issues with it at all.
@@kirbo1249 My parents also had a 1987 Chevy Blazer S-10, and it was a great truck as well. GM has been good with my family, even saying that as a huge Honda fanboy.
It's a UA-cam thing, people watch Scotty Kilmer and spread BS information. My family's owned nothing but American vehicles and have had zero issues so far. 05 magnum bought new, 298k miles, 15 grand cherokee 55k no issues, 18 Durango no issues. Before that 11 Silverado no issues and a 2010 traverse with 189k. From working at Hertz we had more issues out of Nissans and German cars. Mercedes instrument clusters failing, BMW electronics completely shutting down.
@@dtay8913 finally somebody that has more intelligent than 90% of people on youtube and understands. lol
14:12 ... someone just became a truck guy
I love the new Silverado and Sierra. People are hating on the interior, but I actually liked it better than the Ram and Ford interiors. It felt solid and simple.
Nice looking truck it would be nice if you could test the 3.0L duramax back to back with 6.2L
Yup so glad imma getting this truck next month so excited for this beast🥵🥵
Great looking truck..great tailgate..great looking exhaust
This interior does not feel cheap! I love this truck. None of the other trucks in the class come close to this power. I just traded an F150 for one.
I love this truck I have a GMC Serra and the AT4 will be my next one
Yeah the Front End looks Rad and also the two inch lift and wheels!!!
Can’t wait for the interior redesign like the new 2021 Tahoe/suburban. Will be a new class leader then.
THANK YOU🙏🏿‼️
love the review
4:59 The only argument you need to justify getting this over anything else.
Elpacto16 ehh the ram cat back exhaust sound basically the same or better
Rearview camera mirror is in the middle of the third brake light not the tailgate. On the tailgate, one camera goes out and one goes down for the hitch view.
My future truck!!
What a monster!
The lights are a double edged sword as they blind anyone passing.
The first thing I saw was the thumbnail and automatically thought this was a Toyota as the wheels resemble that of the 4Runner Limited.
“We asked our customers” are these the same guys that told you the Camaro needed to be a giant blind spot
This truck is underrated tho. I dearly love it but that interior caused its decline in sales
I do understand why people like lots of fun on the inside. I bought my 2020 silverado trail boss midnight edition for the drive train. 6.2l 10 speed super reliable. More reliable than any of the competitors.
When I am older and I can get a car I want this, Chevy Tahoe 2020
regarding the two cameras on the tailgate....isn't one for backup camera and one points right to the hitch? the rear view mirror camera is located in the 3rd brake light on the back of the cab.
Just got mine!
Excellent review sir.
Great video! Which GMC Factory High Performance Exhaust System do you have installed? Same with the Air Intake? I know GMC offers the Borla Touring / Stype / and Atak sounds. Which one is this? Thanks so much and again great video. I'm hoping my 6.2 AT4 comes in soon.
GMC stepped up the their game.. im seriuosly looking into this truck but for the 2021 model.
Definitely a refresh on the interior. I love the 2 inch lift and the factory exhaust rocks. However, Refresh that dash board 12in screen, stitched, digital and refresh the steering wheel as well , Thanks for sharing, Great review.
You make any car look big
Hey redline review, can you do a check review for the GMC Yukon at4?
I all ways love GMC Sierra pick up truck
I almost have this exact truck. Mine is red, a 2019 and I don't have the 3k brake option. It's my first GMC, 10,000 miles in and I love it! Yes. The interior is behind the competition. However, it still is very nice. I've towed several trailers behind this and must say that with the 6.2, the truck acts like I don't even have a trailer behind me. The kids in the back have more than enough room and do NOT complain! Nobody is going to love everything about every car/truck. This truck hits a lot of points you are looking for and drives well. The 360 camera system is awesome!
Beautiful truck.
Totally agree. Still trying to buy the duramax denali 1500. But dealers been bsing cuz theres no many available so they hold it
Love your reviews..but partial head and break lights on the lower trims ( incandescent brake light and front turn signal). 😎😬
Very good review
I love the engine and the exterior looks but the interior needs considerable work. 🤮
This was a great review, it got second view from me.
I’ve been a GMC fan for a while to be honest I like how it’s done with a cool exterior and a simple interior
I agree with you... All one need for their truck to do is to do the job. i've owned all 3 trucks and i'm loving my GMC now
