I was given a 2019 AT4 as a work/company truck that has a 6” lift with 35’s and its a beast and still handles very well both off road and on the highways. Love this truck. I don’t really notice the interior issues because it still has all of the bells and whistles as a Ford or Ram. I do use it as a mobile office as well and it works out great for me.
Just bought my 20/20 AT4 Sierra and nothing but good reviews and the look is to kill for cannot believe the power that's behind this MACHINE it sounds great it drives great GMC greatest machine created
I have the 2019 6.2L version of this and I love it. Best truck I have ever owned. I love the interior. It is a truck... Not a luxury car or a Denali. That's what I love about it. It has all of the tech I need, wireless charging and apple car play. USB-C all that. I don't need to scroll through options to change the temp or adjust things. I bought it because of that. There is no chrome on it and it doesn't look tacky or cheap. That is the main reason I never wanted a Denali. GMC should defiantly upgrade the interior of the Denali line to match all the bling and branding that comes with it and leave the AT4 alone. it is a fast, wonderful riding truck that I don't feel bad about tracking mud into, hauling kids, doing bottle drives or mudding it up. I don't see many people do that in a Denali or RAM. PS the two cameras on the back are not for the LED rear view mirror. That is above the third brake light.
Yes. There is. It doesn’t say Denali everywhere. This is what I am getting at. Upgrade the interior of the Denali to match the ridiculous interior of the Ram. Leave the AT4 and other trims alone so we don’t all get forced to buy into all of the options we don’t want or will never use.
So it’s different... Upgrade the Denali. People who want that type of interior could then get everything at that level. I love the interior. Perfect combination of tech and simplicity. I don’t Ming putting the dog or sticky kids in my AT4. New Ram interior is way too over the top for me. It really adds nothing but bigger screens and endless menus that I would only cycle through once until the novelty wore off.
Meh I will still spend my 60k on a rebel that have a better interior and also towing and payload and also fastness and the 5.7 0 to 60 is 6.0 seconds as the 6.2 is 5.7 seconds and as the 3.5 ecoboost 0 to 60 is 5.6 seconds and the raptor 0 to 60 is from 4.9 to 5.1 seconds
Exterior is really really good looking The 6.2 V8 with the dealer's catback exhaust is perfect That interior design is a bit outdated but the quality is solid and it has the needed equipment so that's not a flag in my opinion.
mold man the great it could certainly use improvement. But it’s not nearly as bad as people like to think. Sure, nothing close to the Ram. But still better quality than the F150. Granted that’s been around awhile.
@@joshtavenner3073 it's likely for GM to use the Yukon interior for the redesign of this truck. Don't know when that will be, since the Tahoe/suburban and Yukon have been unveiled, and we're awaiting the escalade soon.
You are right, enough people going to Ram because of their interiors and their exterior design and the proof is in Ram sliding into the #2 spot ahead of chevy/gmc for the first time in forever. But I will say this....all those Ram owners will be switching back soon to either the gm twins the f150 or maybe even the new tundra coming out soon simply because of the lack of reliability and durability as well as dependability that has plagued the ram brand forever. They simply DO NOT stand the test of time. Engines are solid in the ram but the transmissions and the electrical engineering are not sound and will cause many a headache as the car ages. They simply are not well engineered and are not screwed together very well from an engineering and manufacturing standpoint. They are definitely beautiful but that is if little value sitting in a repair shop way way way more often then not over the course of its lifetime. Just have no faith in ram. Gm twin only a notch it two better. I'm very interested in the new tundra. Nissans truck is not bad at all I just wouldn't put my hard earned money into knew when there are sooooo many better choices out there. Cheers.
GMC really got the small accents on the exterior down. Gotta give it to their designers on that area. Exhaust sounds great for something straight outta the factory
I have a 2019 ram 1500 and I got to check a at4 at the LA auto show and it blew me away one of the most beautiful trucks I have ever seen and been in. Quite honestly the interior was beautiful everything in it was great
I agree...it will be interesting to see how well the Ram interior holds up with all the detail, in the years to come. Bet the GM interior looks better in 10 years than the Rams.
Yeah I like it. You buy a truck to tow and haul crap. Sure it needs to be nice for this price but man the Ram is over the top luxury. And awful reliability 👎🏼

Really when you're driving, the most dangerous thing you can do while driving is look at and play with an expansive touch screen, when you can control virtually all features in the GMC via button and knob as well as touch screen. Besides, large touchscreen is best at park, and we use these trucks to drive, not pose...
On point with interior! As far as comparisons with other trucks I gotta say “to each their own”. Every truck has its niche. No ONE truck has it all and definitely not a price point where everyone that wants a truck can buy it. So buy what you like. I like all trucks.. EVERY SINGLE ONE! They all serve their purpose!
I almost have this exact truck. Mine is red, a 2019 and I don't have the 3k brake option. It's my first GMC, 10,000 miles in and I love it! Yes. The interior is behind the competition. However, it still is very nice. I've towed several trailers behind this and must say that with the 6.2, the truck acts like I don't even have a trailer behind me. The kids in the back have more than enough room and do NOT complain! Nobody is going to love everything about every car/truck. This truck hits a lot of points you are looking for and drives well. The 360 camera system is awesome!
Considering the issues GM has had with some overheating, I don't blame them for these grills...Also, nothing ugly about this grill, at all...Put it next to a Lexus......
Every generation of GMC truck since 1988 had had a larger grille since its predecessor. We've now reached a point where it's ridiculously large and foolish looking

I do understand why people like lots of fun on the inside. I bought my 2020 silverado trail boss midnight edition for the drive train. 6.2l 10 speed super reliable. More reliable than any of the competitors.
Some people bash American cars for their reliability, but I think some american cars are pretty good. My family had a Chevy Cavalier and never had any major issues with it at all.
@@kirbo1249 My parents also had a 1987 Chevy Blazer S-10, and it was a great truck as well. GM has been good with my family, even saying that as a huge Honda fanboy.
It's a UA-cam thing, people watch Scotty Kilmer and spread BS information. My family's owned nothing but American vehicles and have had zero issues so far. 05 magnum bought new, 298k miles, 15 grand cherokee 55k no issues, 18 Durango no issues. Before that 11 Silverado no issues and a 2010 traverse with 189k. From working at Hertz we had more issues out of Nissans and German cars. Mercedes instrument clusters failing, BMW electronics completely shutting down.
I drive a Mazda6, which has probably seen more off roading than most trucks in suburbia will in their life time (joys of living in a more rural area). I would be lying if I said I didn't want a truck, and the Sierra looks really nice. My wife does drive a Chevy Colorado, and I enjoy driving that truck a lot.
I like the new Sierras and even the Silverados have grown on me, but GM needs to up their interior game. Props for keeping column shifter alive though.
Thank god GM is doing an entire redesign of the Sierra and Silverado interiors for the 2022 non-Limited 1500. Seeing the images on their sites, it’s now hands down the most gorgeous interior of any truck on the market and actually looks modern now. I’m glad they’re finally coming for Ford and Ram’s necks.
You are right on point in regards of the interior, I do own a 2019, the quality is average, a lack of creativity on the design. Awesome review, very professional, well put together. Keep up your amazing work!
I think it’s possible their core customer did tell them they liked the same interior. The reason ram surpassed them is that ram was able to get new customers who maybe did have trucks or had SUVs before due to the screen.
I have one even though I don’t need one. I just love trucks. I bought a commuter Honda Civic to drive to work, but 90% of the time I end up driving my truck because I love it that much!!
I'm not sure why everyone doesnt ask the question of why the ram doesn't upgrade their exterior to look better like the gmc sierra. everyone is stuck on the interior, but the gmc sierra is leader in it's class when it comes to looks.
Ram is easily the nicest interior by far. I wouldn’t consider this trash though. Doesn’t look exciting. But it’s actually solid quality. A lot of soft touch materials compared to an 18 F150 Lariat that was plastic hard touch everywhere.
I don't get why some people say the interior is not that great. I recently purchased a 2019 GMC Sierra elevation with all the bells and whistles I like and I find the interior just fine. It's user friendly and I'm about function over form. Really why does anyone need that big screen and all that stitching and badging. I guess if that's what makes you feel good about yourself get the ram which certainly has it's own cons.
Good job on the review, I just purchased one about five days ago and I love it. But I would agree with you on the interior, the 6.2 liter is the way to go, mine came with the tow mirrors which actually look really good on it
Chevy + GMC outsells Ford...theyre the same thing! I personally loveeeee the interior of them and think the shifter needs to be column or turn dial, because it just takes up space in the center console. Turn dial is not good either if you don't have battery. The only thing GM can do is a bigger screen that only dodge or tesla have, but at the same time, I prefer to turn the knobs for some things...All three makers are making crazy good trucks tho!
I traded my Cadillac XTS Platinum for the 2020 AT4 and I think it has just as nice an interior. It definitely does not have the unique interior look of the Ram Laramie, but I find it comparable to luxury vehicles.
Phenomenal review Sofyan! I must admit that the AT4 is a terrific trim level that provides the best of both worlds in power and style, but I also wish some carbon fiber trim pieces would have been present in the interior since it’s the sportiest offering of the Sierra nonetheless. - Michael
Definitely a refresh on the interior. I love the 2 inch lift and the factory exhaust rocks. However, Refresh that dash board 12in screen, stitched, digital and refresh the steering wheel as well , Thanks for sharing, Great review.
Great video! Which GMC Factory High Performance Exhaust System do you have installed? Same with the Air Intake? I know GMC offers the Borla Touring / Stype / and Atak sounds. Which one is this? Thanks so much and again great video. I'm hoping my 6.2 AT4 comes in soon.
There’s not two cameras in the tail gate. The rear view mirror camera is above the rear window. The other lens in the tail gate is a light, tied to the cargo lamp system.
I'm actually looking into buying a 2020 Sierra Denali. The interior doesn't bother me one bit. Of course I'm coming from a base trim F150 that I've been driving since 2010, so anything is a big upgrade over that lol
Rearview camera mirror is in the middle of the third brake light not the tailgate. On the tailgate, one camera goes out and one goes down for the hitch view.
regarding the two cameras on the tailgate....isn't one for backup camera and one points right to the hitch? the rear view mirror camera is located in the 3rd brake light on the back of the cab.
Couldnt agree MORE with your review of the Sierra. As a truck owner myself...that is a GREAT looking truck and that Catback Exhaust is awwwesome but the interior is just plain disastrous. GMC has to do a better job of that hell I like my 2014 F150 interior better than thier 2020.
Great video, excellent explained but please let me know what would be the price on this truck just like that , I'm looking forward to buying one but I just can't decide between the Chevrolet trail boss Silverado lt 6.2 V8 ENGINE OR THE AT4 6.2 V8 ENGINE AS WELL , I really would like to know your own opinion..please let me know which of the two you choose ??? Thank you , I'm in Houston,TX 👌🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇴🇨🇴
How does fleet sales make them inflated? Are fleets sales not sales? There are people who need trucks for actual work, you know? I don't get why that's not to be counted.
Private owner sales are still extremely high. I've been seeing new Rams and GMs left and right now. I see this beautiful Denali in that premium red rolling around all the time. Best premium color in the game right now.
Good presentation. That AT4 is STILL Quite The CowBoy Caddilac. I think what You are Really wanting Is a CowBoy RollsRoyce !!!! I wish you would have gone over the 4X4 capability of that truck in your presentation. Thank you.
This is why I'm constantly cleaning and moisturizing my center arm rest. So far a year and half and no cracks or lines. But one of my fondest memories growing up was that cracked arm rest.
Nothing beats a 6.2L small block V8. Only thing I can say is that the interior needs an upgrade. They should put the same interior the new 2021 Yukon Denali has.
Mean exhaust from factory. Thumbs up to GM on that one
It’s dealer preference my 2020 AT4 didn’t come with it but I will be paying the 1200 for get it I staled
I’ve been a GMC fan for a while to be honest I like how it’s done with a cool exterior and a simple interior

Before that 11 Silverado no issues and a 2010 traverse with 189k. From working at Hertz we had more issues out of Nissans and German cars. Mercedes instrument clusters failing, BMW electronics completely shutting down.
some people bash anything its up to you to not listen to their bs!!
@@dtay8913 finally somebody that has more intelligent than 90% of people on youtube and understands. lol
I love the engine and the exterior looks but the interior needs considerable work. 🤮
The sound of that exhaust is intoxicating 😍
I like the new Sierras and even the Silverados have grown on me, but GM needs to up their interior game. Props for keeping column shifter alive though.
Thank god GM is doing an entire redesign of the Sierra and Silverado interiors for the 2022 non-Limited 1500. Seeing the images on their sites, it’s now hands down the most gorgeous interior of any truck on the market and actually looks modern now. I’m glad they’re finally coming for Ford and Ram’s necks.
This truck is underrated tho. I dearly love it but that interior caused its decline in sales
If I bought a GM truck I’d want that interior. Simple and clean. Easy to use.
The curent CEO has actually brought GM up.
I know of so many people that have problems with chev/gmc it’s nuts. All marketing. GMC professional grade. Laugh my ass off
@@andybub45 Yes, she has done some big changes within the company.
Man that exhaust system sounds mean. I love it
"if you don't work in construction, don't carry large objects, have no need to tow, why buy a full size pickup?"
Yes
Because some people just want one
Because some larger bodies adults NEED them as well. The obesity epidemic in America is real Derek and everyone knows it.
I have one even though I don’t need one. I just love trucks. I bought a commuter Honda Civic to drive to work, but 90% of the time I end up driving my truck because I love it that much!!
This interior does not feel cheap! I love this truck. None of the other trucks in the class come close to this power. I just traded an F150 for one.
F-150 with the turbo V6?
I'm not sure why everyone doesnt ask the question of why the ram doesn't upgrade their exterior to look better like the gmc sierra. everyone is stuck on the interior, but the gmc sierra is leader in it's class when it comes to looks.
Love the exhaust, the Interior is trash though, Ram has the game won on the interior.
Yea the interior is just ugly. The ram is killin it and its not even close. I have a 17 silverado but if i had to get a new truck id go with the ram
Ram is easily the nicest interior by far. I wouldn’t consider this trash though. Doesn’t look exciting. But it’s actually solid quality. A lot of soft touch materials compared to an 18 F150 Lariat that was plastic hard touch everywhere.
Some people actually still like simplicity over luxury touchscreen buttons everywhere
I wouldn't say trash, still looks really damn nice. It's just become popular opinion to hate on it.
Josh Tavenner wasn’t ram having issues with the big touch screen?
That thing is fast and at 5k rpms.. 😍😍😍 it sounds amazing
Hardly fast around corners
I don’t leave comments very often but I have to say that was well done and I look forward to watching your other videos. Great Job!
This is one of the most complete reviews what I’ve see. 👍🏻
With that loud exhaust, the engine auto start/stop feature is going to be super annoying.
@haze1123 Not to mention the amplified sound of V4 mode.
You can turn it off
@Nick B Agreed. It should default to off instead of on.
That's true. But you have to turn it off every time you drive the truck.
Pretty annoying. You can buy a defeat unit to turn it off permanently.
haze1123 yeah....I know. At least you have the option 🤷🏼♂️
I wouldn't say the interior is bad, it's just mediocre when you compare it to Ram. What really sold me is that 6.2 V8! Dayuuuuuum!....
*Big boys coming with the big trucks,*
*Feel so clean, like a money machine.*
Only thing I like is that V8. Kind of wish it was debadged at the back too, those huge badges are ridiculous. And maybe a black grille.
4:59 The only argument you need to justify getting this over anything else.
Elpacto16 ehh the ram cat back exhaust sound basically the same or better
Best part of video was 5:00, start up and rev out. Sweet!
I love this truck I have a GMC Serra and the AT4 will be my next one
I think the tailgate alone costs more than most used cars.
$3k. :D
A just bought a 2021 version of this exact truck. LOVE IT!
me too
I like the simple interior I hope they don’t change it
don’t need a giant touch screen
Interior needs a major upgrade.
There’s not two cameras in the tail gate. The rear view mirror camera is above the rear window. The other lens in the tail gate is a light, tied to the cargo lamp system.
Nice looking truck it would be nice if you could test the 3.0L duramax back to back with 6.2L
Ram is on FIRE ..Just bought my first Ram and its been by far my best truck and no issues like my ford...lol..
@guy proulx I just bought a lemon but the F-150 is a great truck..10 times better than any Toyota truck..
@guy proulx keep whining frenchie ..lmao..truth hurts dosent it...
@guy proulx that's your problem frenchie, your a liberal..lmao
your a libtard Frenchman ..lmao. now thats a sad case ..
GMC stepped up the their game.. im seriuosly looking into this truck but for the 2021 model.
I'm actually looking into buying a 2020 Sierra Denali. The interior doesn't bother me one bit. Of course I'm coming from a base trim F150 that I've been driving since 2010, so anything is a big upgrade over that lol
I all ways love GMC Sierra pick up truck
My future new truck. Be a hell of an upgrade from my GMC Sonoma.
Have the 19 AT4 and I LOVE!!
For over $63K I would think the interior would be more in line with RAM. Sounds good though.
Damm that exhaust sound sick.
The interior is way better than any F-150 because you legit get a actual nice interior and a SCREEN not some little box
The previous gen actually ran til 2019. GMC just called the truck GMC Sierra Limited.
Rearview camera mirror is in the middle of the third brake light not the tailgate. On the tailgate, one camera goes out and one goes down for the hitch view.
Thinking of buying one of these right now so bad, but I’m resisting myself to wait for the refreshed 2021 instead just for the interior !
regarding the two cameras on the tailgate....isn't one for backup camera and one points right to the hitch? the rear view mirror camera is located in the 3rd brake light on the back of the cab.
Can’t wait for the interior redesign like the new 2021 Tahoe/suburban. Will be a new class leader then.
I've always had the impression that he is not a tall guy, but the truck just makes him looks even smaller. 😆
I wish this had the interior features/tech of the RAM, like the pan sun roof and 12" touchscreen.
That's fair point, but I don't tow trailers so I don't care about any of that shit.
“We asked our customers” are these the same guys that told you the Camaro needed to be a giant blind spot
Sound of the 6.2 with the interior of the Aviator
Totally agree. Still trying to buy the duramax denali 1500. But dealers been bsing cuz theres no many available so they hold it
Couldnt agree MORE with your review of the Sierra.
I agree, the interior is fine. Me personally, I don’t like too many bells and whistles.
The only thing I dislike about this truck is the AFA or the DOD that is in the engine.
Ford F150, Silverado and Rams sales numbers are inflated. Government fleet and subcontractor fleet are a big factor.
That's a well known fact. Sales are sales though, and these trucks are profit makers for their respective companies whether fleet or retail sales.
Definitely think that this is the best looking truck on the market!
Yeah the Front End looks Rad and also the two inch lift and wheels!!!
Good presentation. That AT4 is STILL Quite The CowBoy Caddilac. I think what You are Really wanting Is a CowBoy RollsRoyce !!!! I wish you would have gone over the 4X4 capability of that truck in your presentation. Thank you.
The RAM is certainly Luxurious, and in my opinion, the best looking in the 1/2 ton segment.
How long before the center arm rest becomes cracked and coming apart? One of my favorite things about the chevy/gmc trucks lol.
3-4 months
This is why I'm constantly cleaning and moisturizing my center arm rest. So far a year and half and no cracks or lines. But one of my fondest memories growing up was that cracked arm rest.
Not long, it's a government motors product!
Great review-rad looking truck-Working on purchasing a summit white 2019 AT4 model-any owner advice or comments?
Nothing beats a 6.2L small block V8. Only thing I can say is that the interior needs an upgrade. They should put the same interior the new 2021 Yukon Denali has.
Yup so glad imma getting this truck next month so excited for this beast🥵🥵
The lights are a double edged sword as they blind anyone passing.
