Great review. I have a 23 Silverado ZR2 and an AWE exhaust on the 6.2L V8, and it sounds better than my C8 Corvette. I just assumed GM wasn't going to offer that beautiful LZ0 Duramax diesel on these premium off road trucks, but sure enough, about 3 or 4 months from when I bought my truck I hear Roman say GM is going to off the diesel for MY24. I like the AT4X and the massaging seats, but I think the Silverado ZR2 is a better value and will be looking for a MY24 with a diesel here soon. Now I am more curious to see how the HD ZR2 / AT4x will ride in comparison to this since they apparently disregarded payload on the half ton but prioritized it on the HD. Ford some how managed to get 1200 - 1400 lbs of payload on the raptor but still has a soft ride. The Chevy bison is not much better at 1,047 lbs of payload, so I can’t say it’s all the luxury finishes. It’s a beautiful truck though.

Forget it. These trucks, although cool are way way over priced. $1000 bill anytime something needs to be fixed after warranty too. I predict a market crash in the near future.
Hi, you said that you weren't doing the maneuvers with lockers on towards the end of the video. Does that apply to the entire video? Does that mean that aside from the extra lift of the X and the adjustable shock absorbers you're basically driving and getting At4 performance? I just bought a 2023 AT4 and I'm having a little buyer's remorse thinking I wish I had bought a used AT4X with a couple of thousand miles on it for the same price I paid for a brand new 2023. My usage is really just on the street but you know how it is ego kicks in. I was just Leary of somebody buying and taking it out and thrashing it on the trails and then putting it up for sale.
Great looking truck, but too big and too expensive. However, I think the Canyon version of this is going to be excellent and best in class. Also, when I was a kid, my parents had 80s GM cars that had that same textured paint on the rockers.
Yay! Another "truck" can go through your course. My Q is why is the bed so small? Isn't a truck's main function to haul and tow? Then why are the beds so small? I'd rather have a truck with an 8' bed that I can haul stuff rather than having to tow everything because the bed is not much bigger than a Camry's trunk.
I would wager that most modern truck buyers hardly haul or tow anything at all. That being said this is an extreme offroad trim and an 8' would result in a poor breakover angle, turning radius, etc. that would negatively impact offroad capabilities. If your priority is to haul stuff, this is simply not the trim for you and you're probably paying for offroad goodies that you will never use.
This thing is long heavy and has so much electronic tech! this things not goin off road other than the path to a ranch style home. Which will be the only ones who could afford such a vehicle.
Why do the newer trucks not have that great of a turning radius? You would think they would want to make trucks with great turning radius. Why do you think they design them like this?
1,000lbs of payload? No thanks! If I NEEDED F/R lockers, I could get a Gladiator Rubi for $20,000 less. If I wanted more payload I could get a Tremor! I know, I know, no front locker…in my opinion (and 95% of situations other than rock crawling) a Torsen front end is just as good as a locker!
Challenge the truck! Looks like you’re in a field where a Honda CRV could make it through. GM should want to see you push it and we want the same. Bring a stock Sierra with you. show how much more capable the zr2 and at4x is. We don’t see any locker use and that is what makes the zr2 and at4. Put the frame on the ground, you have skid plates that can handle it. That is the point of the bison/AVE. If GM says no call them out it’s a 80000 dollar tuck that they advertise can handle it…
The only time most people will ever see one of these on a trail or in the mud, at least for the next 10 years or so. This truck costs more than my first house in 1996, just saying.
@@garysarratt1 who cares about aev it a bumper and skid plates really go take a look at the zr2 for 72k it comes loaded up nice it’s a bargain compared to this
Well first off this is the AEV so you need to compare it to the Bison, which is like $8k on top of the ZR2s price. The difference shrinks to about 10 from there I bet. The GMC is ritzier inside and I believe it has some options you can't get on the Chevy similar to whatever it is that makes the Denali Ultimate so much pricier than the High Country.

Just look at the new tundra if you want to see Lego brick. Or any Ford 250 and up.
Not sure if GM bothers to read the comments but 91K is so beyond insanity it's pointless to say anything more.
It's a really nice truck but it's not a $90K truck. That's crazy.
Which will be the only ones who could afford such a vehicle.
didnt put the the shocks on the inside of the leaf , I would have figured they would
I'd prefer a color matched grill, personally.
Nice truck. GMC’s have the best looking trucks. BUT… the prices are still asinine for these!
I was hoping at the end of the video you guys GIFT David the truck.
I bought my 2024 AT4X Friday. I traded in my 2nd Gen Raptor for it. I still don’t know what to think about it. If it was a good trade or not.
Why do the newer trucks not have that great of a turning radius? You would think they would want to make trucks with great turning radius. Why do you think they design them like this?
Great truck! But it’s weird when I see a company out source the build of a vehicle.
This should come with 35s.
Can you get a work truck from Chevy or GMC with lockers? Is there a way to configure a non-luxury offroader with lockers????
1,000lbs of payload? No thanks! If I NEEDED F/R lockers, I could get a Gladiator Rubi for $20,000 less. If I wanted more payload I could get a Tremor! I know, I know, no front locker…in my opinion (and 95% of situations other than rock crawling) a Torsen front end is just as good as a locker!
facts
Challenge the truck! Looks like you’re in a field where a Honda CRV could make it through. GM should want to see you push it and we want the same. Bring a stock Sierra with you. show how much more capable the zr2 and at4x is. We don’t see any locker use and that is what makes the zr2 and at4. Put the frame on the ground, you have skid plates that can handle it. That is the point of the bison/AVE. If GM says no call them out it’s a 80000 dollar tuck that they advertise can handle it…
Wish it was available in a single cab stubby. Oh, and at a much lower price!
The only time most people will ever see one of these on a trail or in the mud, at least for the next 10 years or so.
This truck costs more than my first house in 1996, just saying.
That’s crazy!!! 91k rt now the zr2 1500 is 70k has the same exact powertrain and suspension why would u spend 20k more? Pls someone explain
AEV?
@@garysarratt1 who cares about aev it a bumper and skid plates really go take a look at the zr2 for 72k it comes loaded up nice it’s a bargain compared to this
Well first off this is the AEV so you need to compare it to the Bison, which is like $8k on top of the ZR2s price. The difference shrinks to about 10 from there I bet. The GMC is ritzier inside and I believe it has some options you can't get on the Chevy similar to whatever it is that makes the Denali Ultimate so much pricier than the High Country.
@@mak450 screw the interior and options it’s an off-road vehicle after all come on now the base zr2’for 72k comes nicely equipped the updated interior is nice enough
@@cbruno12180 Idk, just attempting to answer the question.
Lmao yes slow down before that spot that bottoms out.... Don't wanna break nothing now do we 🤔😁
i'll keep my power wagon, thanks...pretty truck though
Common on, you can refer to camera-man as Roman. Do you call David, 'passenger-man'?
Have you done a video on the Shelby F250 Super Baja?
2:49 Roman, you dont have to be an ass
the views make money.
I will keep trying to find a worthy video of the truck off road. Don’t get me wrong. I am a subscriber and really respect your videos and whenever I buy a vehicle or a friend is I make sure I watch all your videos. This one however is lacking. Sorry.
I know it’s a $90,000 Vic but if you talk the talk you should walk the walk. There was nothing real difficult and that’s how we the viewer can really see what the truck is capable of.
Next year it’ll have a third row and a 2ft bed
Good idea.
Ha
Blazer?
Is this available with a full-size bed?
Awesome Truck and, Above All, The Stunning Gas Mileage :
! ! ! ONE GALLON PER MILE ! ! !
! ! ! IMPRESSIVE, ISN’T IT ? ! !
I would like to see the new Jeep Trailhawk attempt this.👀
What’s lockers for?
