Thanks for documenting all of this. Im in the planing and sourcing materials phase. Im going to copy most of your design for the removable pop up and shell. Do you know the weight of the Shell and popup? I have a Frontier and i want to use steel but if it weighs too much i will have to teach myself to weld aluminum. Thanks

I don’t know the weight. Wish I had those numbers for you. The heaviest piece by far is the wedge top. That I pull off in two pieces (the top and the frame).
