It’s difficult to advise without seeing the door so a general diagnosis is required. Observe what may have changed with the doors alignment and rectify. If the door is rubbing on the threshold it’s more than likely dropped so the hinges may need adjustment.
It difficult to correctly diagnose without seeing by if there is excessive tension on your door handle adjust whatever is required to take the strain off and see if the problem goes away. Visually check for the door dropping out of alignment etc .
Thanks so much for this video. So clear. Spent ages trying to figure out the problems I've had with our new door
I’m really glad you found this video useful.
Good job. I like that your hinges and strike plate are adjustable. US stuff usually doesn’t have that must flexibility. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks 👍

Thank you. For replying. How do you deal with warped doors? Do you loosen the frame and try to curve it to the warp of the door?
I just find the best fit to average out the warp so it’s less noticeable but it’s all a compromise.
What lubricating oil type do you use?
I free things up with penetrating fluid then use general purpose 3 in 1 oil.
What to do if door is on maximum adjustment and still catching?
Something has obviously changed since the door was fitted, I would check all the screws are tight and not loose.
Is penetrating fluid basically WD? My pvc door handle will go up and click but won’t go down it’s stiff
Exactly the same purpose wd40 is a special recipe as it took them 40 attempts to get it right!
When I press down on my handle all the way my lach gets stuck, I have to prise it back out with a screwdriver.. any idea how to sort on these doors ?
