  • In this episode of GT Air Projects we show you how to swap the regulator manifold on a Burisch BT3100V / BT350V air compressor using Burisch X4550 sealant adhesive compound and a few basic hand tools. The compound as well as the pressure switch are available on our website at www.gtair.co.uk

    On my compressor it had a air manifold with a built-in regulator. It was always leaking causing the compressor to constantly come on. It also had to be adjusted wide open to get any decent pressure out of it. I removed the factory manifold with a 4 way pipe valve and hooked it up that way. Now it works better than it did new. I took the regulator completely off and replaced it with a quick connect coupler. If I ever need to use the regulator for anything I put a set of quick connect couplers on it so only takes a few seconds to connect it.

    super video, but these manifold assemblies are made of the worst 'chineseium' known to man. They rot and break more readily than lego comes apart.

    The only question I have is where to find a regulator which isn't based on a manifold made out of the cheapest alloy possible.

    hey, do these compressors have a guage showing you how much/what pressure of air is in the tank?, or are those 2 guages just to set your outlet pressure (the non belt drive model)

    • @johncoops6897
      @johncoops6897 5 років тому

      There are 2 gauges, one for tank pressure and one for outlet pressure. The internal structure of this style of manifold is somewhat odd, and it's not actually a "T-connection" like it initially appears to be.
      In actual fact, one gauge and one outlet relate to the unregulated tank pressure. The regulator knob's in the centre however the outlet port of the regulator only flows to one side. Hence the 2nd gauge and outlet are for the regulated pressure.
      Often people swap around the outlets so that the blanking plug (in the end of the regulated "arm") in placed into the unregulated outlet, then they re-install the second outlet onto the regulated side, where the blanking plug used to be.

    • @christianleblanc2842
      @christianleblanc2842 4 роки тому

      @@johncoops6897 thanks for this information. Confirming I understand correctly: the outlet with the safety valve is the unregulated outlet; and the outlet with the blanking plug is the regulated outlet.
