  • Just cruising around HIP 21654, found a random landable moon, sat down, and took a look around. The experience in VR is something you just can't replicate anywhere else.

It's the only way i play the game since i got VR. This game got me into VR, PC gaming, and flight sims. I'll never stop playing Elite. It gives me more than just fun, it gives me perspective to my life. I feel a lot of peace after playing. Realizing that this is it, it's just us out here for all we know. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Couldn't have said it better myself. No better escape than cruising to another world, taking in the grandeur of the universe from the shore of a distant world.

Is this Legacy or Odyssey? I have a quest 2 and a pretty good computer (3070, 32gb Ram, Ryzen 5) and elite has been giving me trouble with stuttering and such. What settings are you using for your quest? Great vid, btw!

Curious to know if you're still having issues. My setup almost identical, but slightly lower (Quest2, Ryzen 3700X and 3060Ti). Settings don't seem to make much difference, honestly. But lately I've been getting frame drops that I didn't before.

@@Mile13Gaming It actually seems to be ok now. I noticed that they have some presets in the display settings: VR High, VR Medium, etc. I set it to medium (keeps me from having to fiddle with all the individual parameters) and it's been fine. Also make sure you set the windowed mode resolution (that's on your screen as you're in VR) to as low as you can so your comp isn't having to render so much at once.
