After several weeks of using this setup, I still love it! The Bluetooth CarPlay adapter has a very minor issue where the audio will cut out for a fraction of a second once in a while but it’s hardly enough to be a big deal. It seems to happen about three minutes after starting the van and then maybe only one more time throughout the entire day. Also, when I get out of the van and then get back in, Pandora might require me to change channels before it will start playing again. Again, very minor quirk. I love how when I get in the van my phone automatically connects, even if I’m not putting it on the charger mount. As long as the phone is unlocked it will start up the CarPlay. Overall I’m very happy and so glad to not be messing with cables anymore.
Thanks for the info. I have a 2020 VS30 4WD 170 and use the van bluetooth wirelessly without any special box. I get the wireless charging, but I am using a single cord as you are, just don’t understand why the necessity for the extra box? Lemme know! Thanks Nomaddict for your video! Tim
Hey, so without a cord, I was not able to use CarPlay aside from music and phone calls. When I plug the USB cord into the dash, it would display all of my phone apps. This little box lets me get the full CarPlay functionality (music, navigation and messaging apps all displayed on the Mercedes screen) without any wires. If you are able to display your phone apps on the Mercedes screen without any wires, that’s pretty cool… I wasn’t able to though.

My Lightning port is starting go die, this may end up being a solution rather than buying a new phone. Thanks!

Do you have any issues with the device heating up when the lid is closed?
Great question, and no, I've never had that issue.
And we live in Northwest Arkansas where the temperatures get up near 100° every summer
Thanks, the one I have does. May have to try the one you're using.
I wish the map would fit the whole screen.
Me too! It's such a waste of screen space.
I know that guy
Haha yes you do!
