Brilliant..used to listen to him from a record as a kid, cant remember the name of it now..he spoke of a Government Expert!! [Trying to tell him how to do the job...!] Expert, he says..Ex as in used to be, and Spert as a drip under pressure..Priceless northern humour..but oh boy, he knew his stuff!!
He was one of a kind! down to earth, friendly man, He bought a new car from the garage where I worked (in Shropshire) he took the time to come into the work area where the mechanics and myself were and gave a half hour impromptu show for us, great memory of the man.
Grew up listening to Blaster, saw him twice in Doncaster, great memories of a great man.
Went to see him and this recording really reminds me of that evening . Great man .
