I have one! If you get hip dysphoria, having a thick jacket can help bulk up your torso and make your silhouette straighter. Even better if you can have that jacket open in the front, it can help make your chest look flatter.
With the sit/stand thing, something I've noticed is that cis guys take up so much space, like sitting down and manspreading or just standing around they just take up all this space, you wanna appear more masculine day to day just take up space

Honestly, I love Noah so much for making these videos. I grew up in a very homophobic, transphobic, religious community, and although I never fully agreed with the ideology, some times words cut deep, and you form biases without even realizing it. I’m gay, and I’m in the process of unteaching myself all the negative things I was constantly told as a kid. In the same way, I’ve been able to understand so much more about the “trans experience” from watching Noah’s videos, and it feels so cool to be in such a warm, welcoming community. Love your content Noah, you never fail to make me smile, keep on doing what you’re doing man :)
i have been on T for 2 years next month tbf, but i absolutely pass better and look better with longer hair. and with clothes actually that fit me. don't be afraid to play with clothes and sizing, online stores with good return policies can be useful for seeing how clothes fit on your body without much real risk.
So here’s the thing, I (a pre-everything trans guy) have a haircut scheduled for June 11th, and I am currently looking for haircut ideas so the moment I saw this in my fyp I clicked on it so fast. Thank you for the content Noah! :D (also wish me luck with finding a good haircut aaaa)
tbh, 70s and 80s seems more accepting of more gender expressions than the early two thousands was... Like rock stars and disco and hippies and all that was so sparkly and colorful. Like guys could own a van with a rainbow unicorn or flowers on it. But early two thousands was so very... "Here's all the things that are girl things, here are the boy things, and if you don't conform, your peers will make your life a living hell." ... At least that's how it was for me, in school in the southern US.
Curt Cobain in the 90's, it was common on Berlin in the 90's to see punks or goths with long skirts and nail polish and I actually found this super attractive as a girl, still do, as a woman, long haired guys in skirts and nail polish are sexy, as well as short haired girls with jeans and shirt.
@@panyanabrd3183 I dont think they were more aceppting, rockstar and celebrites had a stage image, they need to look bold/rebelious, thats their brand. I dont think regular guys were wearing dress and nail polish as everyday fashion.
masking autism and being trans trying to pass too hard nearly killed me, Godspeed my dudes, I’m sending you all the love I can, you will get through this!! Dysphoria sucks ass, I feel you, but please don’t go TOO hard on trying to pass cause that can at a certain point stress u so much that it becomes unhealthy for ur body to :’3 like with binding, try having breaks, as had been suggested, try finding people where passing doesn’t matter But I know saying this stuff is WAYYYY easier then actually doing it, so just do ur best and that’s enough :3 TLDR you are a cool manly man U ain’t gotta prove shit to cis men, cause they ain’t shit >:3 U ARE A GUY NO PROOF NEEDED BUDDYYY
Trans femme who didn't hatch until 29 here: I think my autism helped me mask my gender. So assuming you are trans mask letting your autism out a bit more might help you pass. IDK, just trying to be as helpful as I can.
The whole voice thing: I'm an older trans, and I've had people on the phone ask me where my "husband" is, while getting my name right. I do have voice dysphoria and have been trying my best to not squeak. After transition (I'm 47, started when I was in my early 30's) and think that it's kind of fun to say "I'm a guy, not the wife" over the phone and listen to them struggle. I know it's not nice to them, but asking me where my husband is?? I'm not even married 🤷
It’s just mainly about confidence, and people won’t question you. I also find that Sunglasses help a lot to feel better as it can shape your face to appear more masculine if you’re wanting that style - I did all this pre t and it did build my confidence up.
Best advice i could give anyone with dysphoria starting transitioning- be yourself...regardless of the physical changing....YOU WILL ALWAYS PASS. If your a guy internally or a woman internally (depending on your dysphoria)....JUST BE YOURSELF. Its how you act. Thats what makes you pass to everyone else. BE YOU.💙 added: if you think "how do i act as a guy or woman outwardly"....question your dysphoria. Being your true inner self outwardly will validate you ALWAYS. That simple.
i always wear button ups because i paid so much money for my chest to be flat and i will damned if i do not take advantage of that. (also, again, it does get better, dysphoria mostly isn't a forever thing)
Wait, I follow someone on Tumblr called zombiedude with your profile pic and I can't tell if that's like a common name/pfp that's a reference to something or if you're the same guy.
I am your age but not NEARLY as far on my journey - and I am struggling hard. Internalized transphobia can be so rough - because it can make you beat yourself up when you don't beat up others. Things that make me dysphoric about myself, when other trans men do it/are happy with it I'm like "YESSIRRRR". Fat men? Slay. Me being fat? WOMAN.

I love your videos so much, you talking abt your experience enlightened a spark inside me that made me realise that I'm trans! Your content make me feel wanted and accepted within a community
i definitely think people (especially young trans people) need to understand that when we say don't internalize this too much it's because there's a difference between alleviating dysphoria/helping you survival pass better, and creating an entirely new system of masking that still leaves the real you on the cutting room floor. It's important not to force yourself into a new closet while you're finding the balance of presentation that works for you.
the first time I passed (as a guy) I was wearing jewelry and sparkly hair clips, I was wearing men's clothes and binding but binding wasn't really effective for me. This was all before any medical transitioning. I just want people to know that you don't have to change who you are
Anyway if anyone sees this, here's my tip: GO TO A BARBER IF YOU WANT SHORT HAIR. For the love of god do NOT go to a salon or other hairdresser that only deals with women's hair - they won't cut your hair right not because they're transphobic, but because they have no practice doing men's cuts. A barber will do the exact cut you want, with less of the chat, and often for cheaper.
its so weird seeing posts like these pop up on my tiktok because now that ive been on testosterone for over a year and don't get misgendered at all or have the amount of dysphoria i used to, it feels like a whole other world. like, 14 year old me would be devouring the trans tips posts but now it just feels weird. maybe its also an age thing, i am almost 20, after all. another thing, people need to use references of hair types similar to theirs! the reason that person didn't get what they were looking for is partly because their hair has substantially less of a curl pattern. curl patterns and hair textures have a big role in whether or not a specific cut or style will look good on you
God stuff like this makes me glad i realised my identity later in life. I was already so insecure when i was younger. I csnt imagine obsessing over standing too feminine
I got a haircut a week ago, showed your picture as reference and i pass better now. Passing tip: don´t try to look like your older brother if you´re not out yet, cause everyone knew that he is taller than me and knew that I was not him, but a "girl"; get your own style
9:49 my current hair style is pretty similar to fluffy mullets and i don't get clocked at all. it could be that i pass considerably well and just look like most of the other white guys at my school who dress in a more baggy skater style lol
Mullets are super popular now so it didn’t get me clocked, but 💀 I looked in the mirror one day and realized I had that lesbian haircut going on. So I shaved it all off a few months ago because that was my opposite intention ❤
"if you don't care how you look, just wear what cis men wear" lmao Back when I was trying to pass as a cis guy, I specifically wore stuff that was ugly, cause if you're pretty, you look gay. Can't have that, can we?

guys, keep in mind, you also can have a funky style and just pass as a queer guy, I feel like everyone forgets that you can still pass as a guy without only being the most basic boring ass straight guy, I'm fairly passing and have a somewhat colorful and interesting style so alot of people just assume im a gay/bi/generally queer or don't notice, YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE ALL THE FUN AND WHIMSY OUT OF YOUR STYLE JUST SO YOU CAN PASS GUYS!

I'm not trans personally but my younger brother (Trans masc.) is, and he has only told me because he wanted to tell someone who he knew would be supportive of his decisions. I am currently helping him come out to my parents😊
9:16 this is the case for me, at least as i got older. when i was 13/14 i had a short boyish haircut and i definitely looked like a little boy. i grew it out again because of internalized transphobia though. when i came out as trans at 17, i tried getting the same haircut i had before aaaand it did the complete opposite effect. not having much hair drew a lot of attention to my matured feminine features. i had a mullet for a while then and it fixed it right back up. now my hair is down to my shoulders and i look the manliest i ever have (even before starting T, which i’ve now been on for a year!) i still don’t like wearing my hair up because again, not having hair framing my face makes me look more feminine.
Idk if this is kind of tmi, but for me I think v-necks actually help. Of course this doesn't work for everyone, but if you have a smaller or wider-set chest (basically if you don't have a lot of cleavage in the center of your chest) sometimes wearing a low v-neck or a button up with only the bottom buttons buttoned is really masc. Especially if you have access to tape it shows off the center of your chest which is more flat. If you add an open jacket on top it really distracts from your figure and you'll only really see that flat part of your chest. Using tape instead of a binder if you have a deep v-neck makes the flat chest illusion more believable. I hope this helps!
Yeah, I've found this to be true for me as well. Henleys with all the buttons unbuttoned have been a staple in my wardrobe since I discovered this effect.
As a trans boy myself I can admit that it's fully possible to still pass as a boy while still wearing a crop top. It's also still possible to pass when wearing leggings. If you don't have top surgery wear a crop top chest binder so you still have a masculine chest while the binder isn't visible, if you don't have bottom surgery wear a packer so that when you wear the leggings it won't look flat and the bottom half of you will still look masculine in some way, and to top it off make sure that your hair is wild and messy (if you really feel like going crazy with your hair you can make the front of your hair cover your eyes like I do). But don't make your hair so messy to the point where you look unkempt. Lol. Whoever reads these tips just know that no matter how you dress you're perfectly valid, social transitioning or using surgery to transition! 😁🏳️⚧️

I have one! If you get hip dysphoria, having a thick jacket can help bulk up your torso and make your silhouette straighter. Even better if you can have that jacket open in the front, it can help make your chest look flatter.
@@innohasclay9996 agreed, that does work well 👍👍 good advice
With the sit/stand thing, something I've noticed is that cis guys take up so much space, like sitting down and manspreading or just standing around they just take up all this space, you wanna appear more masculine day to day just take up space
This is not a goal my neurodivergent self shall ever achieve
Lmao the other day I passed twice out in public and usually that’s kinda rare for me. Cargo sweat pants + laced vans + hoodie :)

They are so good. The ADHD bouncing around when he lost his train of thought 😂
Love your content Noah, you never fail to make me smile, keep on doing what you’re doing man :)
personally my fluffy mullet has helped me pass way more then any other haircut ive had
my boyfriend and I listened to your album tonight. to be honest... it was upsettingly good. please, continue your good work.
i have been on T for 2 years next month tbf, but i absolutely pass better and look better with longer hair. and with clothes actually that fit me. don't be afraid to play with clothes and sizing, online stores with good return policies can be useful for seeing how clothes fit on your body without much real risk.
The way that i showed all of those pictures of u to my barber for my first “trans guy” haircut 😭💀
Haha I also used a photo of Noah for my first short haircut. I’m not sure if it even looked like the picture, I just wanted short hair 😭

*David Bowie in the 70's and 80's existing*
tbh, 70s and 80s seems more accepting of more gender expressions than the early two thousands was...
@@panyanabrd3183 It started mid-90s, but yeah.
That's 'cause David Bowie was cool
@@panyanabrd3183 I dont think they were more aceppting, rockstar and celebrites had a stage image, they need to look bold/rebelious, thats their brand. I dont think regular guys were wearing dress and nail polish as everyday fashion.
masking autism and being trans trying to pass too hard nearly killed me,
Godspeed my dudes, I’m sending you all the love I can, you will get through this!!
Dysphoria sucks ass, I feel you, but please don’t go TOO hard on trying to pass cause that can at a certain point stress u so much that it becomes unhealthy for ur body to :’3 like with binding, try having breaks, as had been suggested, try finding people where passing doesn’t matter
But I know saying this stuff is WAYYYY easier then actually doing it, so just do ur best and that’s enough :3
TLDR you are a cool manly man U ain’t gotta prove shit to cis men, cause they ain’t shit >:3 U ARE A GUY NO PROOF NEEDED BUDDYYY
Trans femme who didn't hatch until 29 here: I think my autism helped me mask my gender. So assuming you are trans mask letting your autism out a bit more might help you pass. IDK, just trying to be as helpful as I can.

I used Noah as my hair reference and we made it a little longer than the photos and I like it 😭
The whole voice thing: I'm an older trans, and I've had people on the phone ask me where my "husband" is, while getting my name right.

I love that Storm sent it
GUYS I’M GETTING MY FIRST MASC HAIRCUT TODAY
Edit: I’m so happy I cannot stop starring in the mirror
What have I done to deserve a 17 minute Noah finnce video 🙏
I don’t want to pass as a cis guy. I want to pass as not a girl haha. I don’t really care if they don’t perceive me as a dude immediately
In 24 yrs old too and I wear button ups when I was 17 and I still wear them! I love my button ups.
Just started T 2 days ago!! It gets better!!!!
Congratulations!
WOMAN.
i’m not ftm, but i wanted to look more androgynous and/or masculine, so saying longer torsos are masculine helped me feel better about my body :)

Trans elder here (25) who is pre-T & passes with a buzzcut & who passed with fluffy hair too: for the hairstyles, you need to know your face shape - mostly your cheekbones, your jaw, and your hairline.

I love your videos so much, you talking abt your experience enlightened a spark inside me that made me realise that I'm trans! Your content make me feel wanted and accepted within a community

@p-__ okay..? That's actually disgusting..
if you have voice dysphoria, do voice excercises. they actually help a lot. i learned how to sound just as masculine as cis guys my age, im 13
They do actually work. I do recommend. But watch outdoor straining your voice and take breaks often.
the "back in my day" is actually so real. the trans community was SOOO different back in 2014. it was a scary time
This is the best mix of helpful and entertaining
8:04 the eyeliner just spawning in lol
i definitely think people (especially young trans people) need to understand that when we say don't internalize this too much it's because there's a difference between alleviating dysphoria/helping you survival pass better, and creating an entirely new system of masking that still leaves the real you on the cutting room floor.
I just want people to know that you don't have to change who you are
Love ur videos man! You helped me come out to my family! ❤❤
My farts are better than Noah’s farts 💨
Anyway if anyone sees this, here's my tip:
GO TO A BARBER IF YOU WANT SHORT HAIR.

I used your haircut as a reference and my hair looks SICK everyone “misgenders me”
WOAHH IM EARLY I WISH A HEART FROM NOAHFINNCE
Mullets are super popular now so it didn’t get me clocked, but 💀 I looked in the mirror one day and realized I had that lesbian haircut going on. So I shaved it all off a few months ago because that was my opposite intention ❤
button up not going all the way to the top button is to stop you from looking like a nerd, no other reason
"if you don't care how you look, just wear what cis men wear" lmao
Back when I was trying to pass as a cis guy, I specifically wore stuff that was ugly, cause if you're pretty, you look gay. Can't have that, can we?
i also feel like dressing alt helps, since alt styles are typically more androgynous. using the style and leaning a bit more masculine helps.
I just recently came out to my dad thanks to u!
That's a huge accomplishment! I hope he supports you and that you feel great :)
that edit of the buzzcut on you almost made me spit out my food lmao

guys, keep in mind, you also can have a funky style and just pass as a queer guy, I feel like everyone forgets that you can still pass as a guy without only being the most basic boring ass straight guy, I'm fairly passing and have a somewhat colorful and interesting style so alot of people just assume im a gay/bi/generally queer or don't notice, YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE ALL THE FUN AND WHIMSY OUT OF YOUR STYLE JUST SO YOU CAN PASS GUYS!

Noah I'm am just letting you know this, my school is having up do a project of people we look up to for pride month, so I am not doing a school project on you :D
I'm not trans personally but my younger brother (Trans masc.) is, and he has only told me because he wanted to tell someone who he knew would be supportive of his decisions. I am currently helping him come out to my parents😊
9:16 this is the case for me, at least as i got older. when i was 13/14 i had a short boyish haircut and i definitely looked like a little boy. i grew it out again because of internalized transphobia though.
when i came out as trans at 17, i tried getting the same haircut i had before aaaand it did the complete opposite effect. not having much hair drew a lot of attention to my matured feminine features. i had a mullet for a while then and it fixed it right back up. now my hair is down to my shoulders and i look the manliest i ever have (even before starting T, which i’ve now been on for a year!)
i still don’t like wearing my hair up because again, not having hair framing my face makes me look more feminine.
My illness can wait, Noah posted :D!

We all support you! Keep up the GREAT work!
