The phrase "what a waste" is quite prevalent and it's something I've heard a lot from women who find gay celebrities attractive and believe that because they're gay that somehow women are missing out, which is ridiculous. But, I don't really understand what you mean by all actors being gay once they've entered Hollywood, what does that mean?
Umm no, with that comparison you're equating a privileged overrepresented group - straight male celebrities - with lesbians, a discriminated minority with only a small representation. And TERFs like Arielle are waiting for that to use it as an ammunition in their propaganda. Because they're exploiting fears coming from actual issues - like misogyny from men and lesbophobia - but twist it to make it look like in the end it's trans people to blame for everything.
There's very few out non-retired lesbian actresses in Hollywood, MUCH less than gay men or bisexual women, which makes them very precious role models for the community. And let's be honest, it's certain that many lesbians did feel disappointed for that reason with Page's coming out, since they lost a considerable part of their representation in Hollywood. But the reason of that disappointment is lesbophobia of the studios that prevents actresses from coming out, while people like Arielle try to turn that negative feeling against trans people, another discriminated minority with little representation.

As someone who's hung around conservative circles, the fact that those newspapers didn't deadname Page doesn't really surprise me. A lot of right wing people (especially the young ones, like journalists) don't give a fuck about LGBT people. And I mean literally. They're like "you can exist but we're not fighting for your rights". Comparing that to Arielle, it just shows how low she goes.
I've seen so many news outlets doing really well but somehow the largest news outlet of the Netherlands deadnamed him and tried to justify it by saying that people wouldn't know who they meant -.-
I swear, as a lesbian myself, that she is personally bringing our average intelligence down by at least 30%. I cannot describe how infuriating it is to just have to sit and watch her bring down the mental health and happiness in our friendly community, by displaying all kinds of phobia and obsession, and then still expect to be welcomed in by the rest of the LGBTQIA+.

I would wager that for every queer woman coming out as a man, there’s a queer man coming out as a woman and a lesbian. You’re not losing any lesbians, you’re at a net parity of lesbians.

The thing is that Elliot Page is 33, has a very stable acting career, and has been out as a lesbian with an overwhelming amount of support for like 6 years. What would his motivation be to "decide" to come out as trans other than actually being trans? In my opinion there was a lot of risk in coming out as trans. I just don't get why he would do it if he didn't have to for his own mental well-being.

One of my favorite teachers transitioned and she used to identify as a gay person I'm so proud of her look back at th talks we had
I can tell you why I didn't realize/come out, even though the clues have been there. As a woman, you can wear mens clothing with few repercussions. I've been around since the 70's, where pant suits were the thing, and jeans. I got lucky. Men had some pretty good clothing, but they couldn't wear a dress. I don't think they would be accepted. But I have never worn dresses and always been accepted. Had short hair, been accepted. I'm 100% sure, if I was a teen, I would have tried to get puberty blockers.
I'm used to navigating the world as I am now, a fairly non binary person with generous attributes that I freaking hate. My kids accept me, that's all that really matters.

I think part of the reason people think we don’t exist is because generally speaking kids on tik tok seem to be the loudest most colorful representations of NB people. I honestly love all of your trans videos, I came out to my parents about 3 months ago as transmasc and they act like nothing happened. i don't understand why she is SO OBSESSED WITH LESBIANS. in 2015 before i was even out as trans, i was at an event and she made a comment about how "lesbian" i looked. i calmly said that the term "lesbian" made me feel uncomfortable and i just identified as "gay"(since she said it in front of a lot of people). She literally laughed in my face and said "no you are a lesbian" then followed me around for the rest of the night, making more and more comments about how something i was either doing or saying was "very lesbian". And just wouldn't let it go?? Everyone I opened up to about it at the event told me how she's transphobic so that probably had something to do with it. 5 years later and literally nothing 👏has👏changed👏

I'm 47 and have never "grown out" of my gender dysphoria, and I wish someone had helped me identify it much earlier.
The phrase "biological women" really bothers me. I have recently identified that I am a trans woman, and I am as much of a carbon-based lifeform as any other woman.
She uses the phrase "LGBT" a lot, but seems to forget that it has a "T" in it.
She also ignores that the lesbians that are being "depleted" by trans men are being "replenished" by trans women. I think she's just terrified that the next woman she picks up in a bar is going to be an AMAB.
Let me just run you through a scenario real quick.
A cis woman (we'll call her Heather) comes to realise she is a lesbian and she has same sex attraction to people who also identify as women. Heather lives life for a few years, has come out to the people significant to her as a lesbian and perhaps even had a girlfriend or two. Then one day, she is at the bar hanging out with some friends and see somebody across the room who she is very attracted to. Heather gathers her courage and decides she's going to go strike a conversation with this person. She offers to buy them a drink, asks their name (let's call them Zae,) they chat for a while and it seems that Zae is pretty interested in Heather. At one point, Heather notices a flag pin she doesn't recognize on the ballcap that Zae is wearing and decides to inquire. Zae explains that they identify as non-binary, their pronouns are they/them, and they've been out for 6 years. Heather is taken aback for a few seconds because she's never heard of this before, and decides to ask a few clarifying questions, with Zae's permission of course.
A few weeks go by and Heather and Zae have gone on a few magical dates, nothing like Heather has ever experienced before. Heather is enchanted by the way Zae carefully balances masculine and feminine tendencies, and eventually she decides she's had enough and asks them to be their partner. The two have a conversation about what that would mean for Heather, as she has indentified as a lesbian for some time now. Heather comes to the realization that she might not be just a lesbian, and spends some time pondering the question.
After several weeks of internal dialogue and frantic googling of terms, Heather lands on an identity she feels fits her best. She tells Zae that she thinks she would like to identify as queer. She's come to realize that her attraction isn't just to women and feminine presenting people, and that the label queer feels like it encompasses everything she feels for Zae. She's also realized that your sexual and romantic identity is something that can evolve over time, something that's ever changing and influenced by the people you meet and the experiences you've had.
Now what, pray tell, is the problem with any of this? What I've just outlined is a journey that many queer people, including myself have gone through. These people that identify as lesbians and shit on other lesbians for coming out as queer saying 'where are all the lesbians going?" fail to realize that your sexuality evolves over time. At one point they identified as straight, and now they've come to realize that that label doesn't work for them; that's an evolution of your sexual and romantic identity. And it's not limited to sexuality either; people's gender identity also evolves over time. 4 years ago I came out as a gay man but now I identify as a queer, bi-romantic non-binary person, with many steps in between those two conclusions. The evolution of the understanding one's identity is a journey that everyone goes through, whether it be their sexuality, gender, career path, hobbies and interests, mental health journey, etc. Change is a part of the human condition.

As a non binary person and a lesbian this triggered me so much
i was extremely confused as to why noah referred to that one website at about 11:30 in the video as transphobic when it says that they dont support harmful treatment for gender nonconforming people. the confusion came from my assumption that the site was talking about conversion therapy, but it was talking about hormones and other sources of physical modifications (used specifically by people on the trans spectrum) for peoples own comfortability and furthermore euphoria. HOW IS CONVERSION THERAPY BETTER THAN GRNDER EUPHORIA

It's a bit rarer, but I have seen homophobic trans men before. It's could be an expression of internalised transphobia as well though, their idea that being a man who's into men is feminine and therefore you can't possibly be "a real man" and a tray.
Weirdly enough my dad is extremely supportive towards trans people (though he believes there are only two genders) but is extraordinary homophobic (but thankfully he believes that disrespecting and/or hating on people is a sin therefore he respects lgbtq members but doesn't approve it and strongly believes it to be wrong).
But if i ever come out he will literally kill me. lol.

@@lafunk1978 not every nonbinary person’s gender is entirely separate from the binary categories. in other words, even though nonbinary means someone’s gender identity isn’t exclusively male or female, some nonbinary people are both a girl and nonbinary or a boy and nonbinary or a girl and a boy simultaneously or on a fluctuating basis, without a “neutral” kind of gender. gender is a very personal thing and it varies a lot from person to person so everyone experiences it differently. it’s also a question of comfort, so make sure to check with the person you’re referring to if they’re comfortable being called a girl or boy or gendered words, or if they’d rather you refer to them with gender neutral language. hope that helps. a great resource if you’re curious about nonbinary terms or people is Nonbinary Wiki (nonbinary.wiki/wiki/Main_Page ). hope you have a great day/night/afternoon. :)
I mean, demigirls exist! I call myself a dude/man/boy even though I'm on the enby spectrum because I'm a demiboy. But that depends if that person gave consent to this kind of label, and it's known that it's the proper way to address them. If they're a they/them person (edit: or neopronoun person!) that doesn't identify with any of these binary inclined labels, it's straight up wrong.

One time I tried talking to my mum about trans people (she isn't transphobic or homophobic) and she didn't seem to understand why trans people would want to change their body. She kept saying that if we live in a perfect society there wouldn't be any expectations from others of what you have to look like to be a boy or a girl. My argument was that we don't live in a perfect society, and even if we did, people are still going to experience dysphoria. People should be allowed to do whatever the hell they want to their bodies to make them feel happy.

When my mom found out elliott page was trans she went crazy. She started to question if she should allow me to watch the next season of umbrella academy thankfully my sister talk her into allowing me to watch it(btw I'm a tran boy who is twelve and my mom is a big transphobe so that one hurt) And I'm happy that Elliott page was comfortable with coming out
