    In a sense, that little match between Angle and Puder did kill his career. His appearance in the rumble was just the last and painful nail in the coffin. But in the end, the cocky jackass killed his own career before it even got started.

      Kurt is the cocky jackass in this situation, he broke Chris Nawrocki's ribs ragdolling him in an unscripted shoot, he then ignored Vince's orders to not pick Puder, who then ironically almost broke Kurt's arm, because what else was he supposed to do? Again, it was an unscripted, unplanned shoot fight, Puder could've gotten injured like the last guy if he didn't stand up for himself.

      No Angle is the cocky one with a bruised ego, he just assumed he would be able to bully some young guys trying to make a name for themselves and then when Puder didn’t allow him that satisfaction and flipped the script on him, he cried like a little baby cause his ego was hurt, cause what he was planning to do to those contestants happened to him instead.

    • @jamieclarke846

      Velasquez in all likelihood probably wasn't having a proper run in the company even without the injury. Maybe a Tag with Rey Mysterio after the Lesnar match but that would have been it. Cain vs Brock was just the WWE version of Hogan vs Warrior Part II.

    It wasn’t just the match with Randy Orton that ruined Kennedy’s career. Kennedy also injured John Cena in a match that gave John a torn pectoral muscle.
    My two guesses on why Randy got Kennedy fired are 1.) Kennedy made Randy land on a nerve or muscle on his back that made Randy think that he landed on his head and John Cena backed up Randy by saying that he also thought Kennedy was reckless. 2.) Randy was a little threatened by Kennedy’s potential to be a main eventer.
    Both are just as likely. But unless you’re in the position of Randy or Kennedy, you can never know for sure.

    Undertaker hit a top rope, which killed his forward momentum and rotated him too much. You can see on replay, how much rope wigles. I wouldn't say Snuka did anything wrong, just unfortunate coincidence.

    Hart concussed himself earlier in the match during the ring post spot. Goldberg called the kick spot and Hart, likely due to being concussed from smacking his head on the concrete earlier, didn’t protect himself from the kick and got concussed again.

He was the 1st TV opponent of Edge/Adam Copeland and suffered a career-ending injury when Edge jumped off the top rope outside the ring. In addition, the future Rated R Superstar was (coincidentally?) off TV for a few months

    Kennedy was a danger to work with. he decided sometimes while performing a slam to change his hands so the drop would have a better impact.

    • @SkunkApe407
      @SkunkApe407 19 днів тому

      What the hell are you talking about? You don't get a "bigger impact" by "changing your hands", or whatever BS you're trying to say. I actually trained under Dory and Terry Funk, so let me clue you in on a little something, kid. The impact from a slam comes from the force of the slam, not your hand positioning. I can perform the same move on you, repeatedly, using different holds and grips, and still slam you as hard or as soft as I want.
      Not only that, but BOTH performers have to work together to make any more work. At least 8 out of 10 botches are because the person taking the move didn't jump, push off, or rotate correctly. A special performer, like Jericho or Cena, can adjust on their own, to compensate for such things.
      Instead of pushing nonsensical rhetoric, try finding a school and learning how this business works.

    It's kinda unfair to say Puder went into business for himself. He was never supposed to be a major part of that segment, but Kurt disobeyed orders and allowed himself to take on a trained MMA fighter in a completely unscripted shoot match while injured, what did Angle expect to happen?

    • @jamiek9780
      @jamiek9780 Місяць тому +19

      I’m not saying you’re wrong, but with the backstage politics and mentality at the time (main eventers having huge egos and expecting everyone beneath them to be perfect) I wouldn’t be surprised if Kurt thought Puder should know to accept the match and let Kurt win. In other words, “if he doesn’t know how to handle this, he shouldn’t be here”. If Puders instinct was to make Kurt look bad on live TV when he’s the rookie, that would be a major red flag to his own reputation.
      Again, not saying you’re wrong, but the talent back then weren’t exactly the most lenient. I mean, Randy and Cena wouldn’t let rookies use ice until they “earned it”

    Puder's case is so annoying and reveals how toxic the jealous veterans were at that point in time. It was Angle who went into business for himself by challenging Puder to a shoot fight. Puder then got punished because he easily owned Angle instead of the company running with it and pushing Puder for being a tough guy. The other petty bullies like Hollie, Benoit and Guerrero were all too happy to use that as an excuse to gang up on someone who would have destroyed them in a 1v1. Puder's run is one of these cases that just boils by piss, wrestlers punished for no reason by jealous old guys and inept bookers, same with Hassan.
