Say you will about TNA's actual product output, the fact they've managed to survive for over 20 years and willingness to reinvent themselves on a seemingly yearly basis is genuinely applause worthy.

@attiepollard7847 Well at least TNA was the alternative at the time when WWE was in the PG Era.
And I know that TNA wasn't the new WCW, but they had their moments.
But I agree they never a real threat to The WWE.
We can argue about it TNA, But WWE was still the only real 🎮 in town.

I can't express just how much I throughly enjoy all the content that the channel puts out on a daily basis. But when it comes to covering the overall history of a promotion, particular event or what have you. The finished product that's posted is some next level shit. The multiple part series of the WWF Golden Era is more than enough proof. It's painfully obvious just how much genuine love, respect & passion is/was/has been put into the work. And this Retrospective of TNA is right on par with pervious videos. Now, with all of my ranting done and over lol. I haven't been anything close to what one would call even a causal fan of TNA. Aside from watching the random episode here & there and hearing about all the wacky shenanigans occurring behind the curtain. Now whether it was issues/conflicts between performers or the mind boggling business practices etc etc etc. Long story long, I'm glad to hear that things are going a bit better now due in part to their partnership with WWE

TNA's Women & X Division were their huge standouts and what made them stand out. The X Division matches were always good for many many years with the likes of AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Jay Lethal, Kazarian, Austin Aries and even Douglas Williams had great matches
The Womens Division while it took a while to get their own title they absolutely knocked it out of the park compared to WWE at the time. Gail Kim & Awesome Kong started the division hot and eventually would be built around their groundwork even after Kim left. While it did have its rough patches their matches were also good and could actually get time

I think when guys like Raven and Rhyno showed up in Tna and won the title it kind of killed it, the younger guys coming up always had to take a back seat, you put on a 5 star match but we just signed raven after 24 months of Sunday night heat jobs and he's going to be the champ? It's automatically puts your belt and company as second rate, in my opinion 😅

In the prologue, in order to make TNA so successful in addition to NWA, jeff and jerry jarrett would've talked to Antonio Inoki, Nobuhiko Takada, Atsushi Onita and master Kazuyoshi Ishii and brought in Stars of Pride FC, K-1, FMW and NJPW to make this work

I think it shouldn't be understated that when they lost a ton of guys and eventually their TV network.. it all coincided with Big Gaburik coming in and taking a huge management role.. almost like he intentionally came to kill the company

The only way Jarrett could have been more immediately fired would be if there was a graphic at the beginning of nitro saying Jarrett was fired
It was done as quickly as possible

9:45 it cannot be overstated how important AJ Styles win was. That first X title match was a throwback to WCW's best Cruiserweight moments, but absolutely did not feel like away from the main event
That night it literally was the main event, iirc.
