Fact check: mentionned that CM Punk vs Undertaker faced off at Wrestlemania 33 when it was actually Wrestlemania 29. Mentionned that the John Cena vs Brock Lesnar match at Summerslam happened in 2013 when it was actually 2014.
Exactly i also noted same two mistakes in this video.......not summerslam 2013 (cena vs bryan) it's summerslam 2014 (lesnar vs cena) and punk vs taker match happened at WrestleMania 29 in 2013
Lets give extra credit to Kurt for going through the entire Ironman match despite having the heart break of knowing that his sister passed away an hour prior.
So true. Unless there's sort of conflict after the first match in which the wrestlers need to resolve in another match as a lengthy feud, yeah you're right.
My pick for honorable mention being the second time Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov faced off in 2023. The first time they met was in the main event of Great American Bash in Cedar Park, Texas with Hayes retaining the NXT Championship in what many of us would consider one of the greatest matches in NXT history. But their rematch at No Mercy two months later in Bakersfield, California is even more celebrated to this day. Dragunov won his first NXT Championship in his career. While the rubber match at Halloween Havoc a month later was heavily praised, the No Mercy match is still considered the best in their series.
Honorable mentions: 1. Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley (Wrestlemania 39 Night 1) 2. CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre (Bad Blood) Plus, CM Punk vs. The Undertaker was at Wrestlemania 29, not 33. Undertaker faced Roman Reigns at 33 and Punk wasn't even in WWE at the time.
I remember watching Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle’s Iron Man match on SmackDown. It’s one of the moments that made me fall in love in wrestling when I was little. Great memories.
@@set9842how do you figure? He said Punk vs Taker was at Mania 33! And he said that Michaels vs Taker was at Mania 26 but only showed pictures of the match the YEAR BEFORE!
The rumor about El Generico being the same guy as Sami Zayn should end. El Generico is happily retired taking care of orphans he cares about so much. He will never wrestle again, I hope we all respect his wishes.
Triple H vs. Batista hell in the cell was a really good rematch that Triple put over Batista to make him one of the biggest superstars of the ruthless aggression era.
Honourable mention: Günther vs Ilja Dragunov for the NXT UK Title part 2 at Takeover 36. Those duo matches to me are some of the greatest matches in wrestling but also during the dreaded pandemic era
U want to know how good John Cena is? It's simple. He's as good as his opponent. Look at the classics he's had with Rollins, Styles, Bryan, HBK, KO, and CM Punk. Even guys like HHH and Batista. But then look at his worst matches: The Miz, Sikoa, etc. If he's facing a world-renowned wrestler, he's able to match them. But when facing someone who isn't known for his in-ring skills, it's probably going to be a lackluster match.
Honestly, you could literally make this argument for anyone in wrestling history. A real credit to how good cena is, he is literally the only person to ever get a great match out of the great khali (one night stand 07). Even Shawn Michaels couldn’t do that
The Cena vs HBK rematch wasnt supposed to be an hour long, unfortunately Randy Orton had a stomach bug so his match with Edge got moved to the following week and the Cena vs HBK match got extended
I think the match Shawn Michael's and Undertaker had at Wrestlemania 26 is better than the match they had at Wrestlemania 25. The story, the promo package with Placebo's cover of Running Up That Hill and the emotions once the match was finished was brilliant. I also like the small hidden detail they told at Elimination Chamber 2010. Shawn would go to any length to goad Taker into accepting his challenge at Wrestlemania that year, even if it meant seeing his then arch rival Chris Jericho win the World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena is a great wrestler because he calls spots to make everyone safe. Part of being a great wrestler is making sure everyone is safe and Cena also has said that he does it to be safe. Also yeah give Cena the right opponent and he'll do amazing work. Now Miz is a good wrestler and definitely a HOF but his star power was not that of HBK and Miz would later in his career get better and have amazing classics for the IC Title. So if it was Miz 2016 yeah Cena and Miz probably would've been better although their Wrestlemania 33 mix tag match unfortunately proves otherwise 😅
Wrestlelamia, where's "Mr. Perfect vs Bret Hart (from King of the Ring 93)"? Perfect and Bret had a classic match at SummerSlam 91 but their match in 1993 was a better wrestling match.
This is just my opinion, but I think if WWE didn’t make the story with CM Punk and Undertaker about Punk stealing Paul Bearer’s “ashes”, then I think there would have been a possible strong chance for Punk to beat the streak.
Lesnar should have definitely defeated Cena at Extreme Rules. It was his first match back in 8 years and it would made him look like the monster that he was before he left WWE. Luckily, their rematch at Summer Slam 2014 corrected this mistake.
The Undisputed Championship didn't exist in 2003, as Brock became a SmackDown-exclusive wrestler in 2002 and RAW created the World Heavyweight Championship in response.
I still don't know why Goldberg vs Lesnar at Mania 20 couldn't have just been a car crash/squash match like at Mania 33 and Survivor Series 2016. Even with people booing they could've still done it and maybe the crowd would've changed but nope they just decided to do slow technical wrestling. Like if you're on your way out and you're done and you're like F the people then why not go out and just have a banger? Why go out with a dudd? Still doesn't make sense 20 years later and will always be a wonder
Cm punk undertaker at wrestlemania 29 was a great match I thnink ounk should’ve been the one to end the streak still a good match t for any wrestling fan who appreciates quality wrestling
Nah, for me, Austin/Rock at WM19 was the worst of the 3 matches for me. It was slower, and lacked the drama of the previous two. Plus, the finish was flat..3 rock bottoms in a ROW without a comeback? 💀💀.
