I would love to know why Maven doesn't go back to teaching??? I think in the current climate he might be a real breath of fresh air as a teacher. He mentioned he loved it so much. I don't think it would be all that hard to renew his teaching certificate, he already has experience. I know everybody likes him doing the UA-cam thing. But he mentioned having a real passion for the teaching.
All the hardcore fans hated Maven and Tough Enough, now we just love the guy for being so open with the fans. Maven would be a top tier manager with how he talks and presents himself now that he's a little older and wiser. I'm glad he mentioned Benoit, as horrible as that situation was every tragedy forces the business to get better and safer.
Was never really into Maven, but, only because he was so green, but, I don't think he was used right either. I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. I love the stories and insight. He comes off very sincere
I came across his youtube channel a while back. Such a humble person he knows where he stood in the business and that he didn't take the "standard" route to the business. His stories are great to listen to.
Maven is a lot more instrumental to the business than people realize. His time as a wrestler was nondescript, but how he got into the business via Though Enough proved that people would consume non-wrestling content from WWE which now days is a huge part of their viewership. Plus Though Enough eventually morphed into NXT forever changing the development of future WWE stars. If season 1 failed current WWE would be completely different and Maven was a big reason why season 1 succeeded.
15:53 very well worded Maven, smart use of words that wont come back to haunt you and says a lot without you having to say much at all. This is going to be a wild wild case depending how deep it goes.
Sounds like mental health plays a huge role or at least should. Everyone knows it’s just a show. Staying healthy and keeping a good attitude and good conscience is definitely hard in show business
half the people on here werent even a fan of Maven nor was i, but the fact that this dude is speaking to us as fans and what goes behind the wrestling business and mentioning his career is really overwhelming.. definitely worth 33min of wstching because he aint lying.. i will say this about Chris Benoit, when he lost Eddie Guerrero who probably was like a brother losing him hit him to thr core and maybe felt like he had nothing left but he was definitely wrong for what he did to his wife n kid
This has been like a recap of maven's channel from day 1 until this day lol. In two years insider will have our boy back for the evolution of his UA-cam success lol, I'm willing to put money on it.
This was an entertaining watch. I recently discovered Maven's channel on YT, and it has been great stuff. I think he should be brought back for something WWE involved. Maybe narrate a documentary or bring him back for guest commentary, some mic work. The guy seems like a great talker.
Personally, if I were a boss in the WWE I would bring Maven back not as a wrestler, because his body is pretty damaged and wrestling again could easily cause him to fall back into taking opioids, but I’d absolutely hire him to be a commentator and bring him onboard backstage as part of the team that comes up with the stories.
@@JoshuaKulmatycki Vince is gone though and last I heard there’s not a single McMahon leading the new company that has merged with the UFC. Did some of them come back after Vince was removed?
Mavens ability to break down the 'secrets' while keeping some of his cards close to his chest is excellent. Gives us a deeper insight, but you know he has other stories to tell that are just for him/the boys
What's crazy about Maven's story is that 20 years ago, Maven's probably biggest issue for his career is that he couldn't "get over." He couldn't taper his personality to the business to engage with the fans. Now, 20 years later, he's "getting over" on YT. Maybe he learned something during his time on HSN in a more relaxed environment and realized that he could be himself and people could actually find him interesting. Or maybe his personality was made for our current moment rather than the turn of the millenia. Happy for him. I hate praising people I don't know firsthand, but he seems like a good guy.
I never even got that into wrestling growing up. Watched every now and then between like 98-03. I knew all the wrestlers but didn’t really know anything else, not even their finishers. Skip to 2024 and all of the sudden a huge nostalgia wave hit and I can’t get enough of watching WWF/WWE reruns. I’ve been watching nothing but Maven’s content for the past 3 days
If you understand the production and presentation of professional wrestling, you are well equipped to understand the theatricality of politics and business

Mavens UA-cam journey and how candid his been is awesome.
Loving mavens channel and all the exposure he's getting all over social media
Maven is moving up to the world. Iam so happy to see that
Maven speaks so well! Never saw his wrestling matches. Never knew he existed but he knows wwe so well! I like his videos of exposing wwe secrets
I wonder how many wrestlers have charisma like Maven but never got their shot on the mic?
All the hardcore fans hated Maven and Tough Enough, now we just love the guy for being so open with the fans. Maven would be a top tier manager with how he talks and presents himself now that he's a little older and wiser. I'm glad he mentioned Benoit, as horrible as that situation was every tragedy forces the business to get better and safer.
Maven is only person in pro wrestling WILL NEVER LIE , we love you Sir 🙏
Awesome interview... Total respect for speaking the truth good or bad. Seems like a great person. Very humble.
Maven and his UA-cam partner are catalysts to a new revolution in wrestling UA-cam and social media. Change my mind.
And he does a completely different style of show then most other wrestling youtubers.
You're glazing a bit but at the same time I've watched every Maven upload so who knows
Mike Chioda left in 2021 if I recall, not 2002.
Mavens career happened when I mostly wasn't watching wrestling, at the time but his channel is genuine and entertaining . Great interview here too
This has been like a recap of maven's channel from day 1 until this day lol. In two years insider will have our boy back for the evolution of his UA-cam success lol, I'm willing to put money on it.
Maven is the man! Gives us a true insiders look at the business while still having 100% respect for the business. Thank you Maven
Mike Chioda was a ref well past 2002. I didn't start watching til 09 and he was still there.
Best ref ever
This was an entertaining watch. I recently discovered Maven's channel on YT, and it has been great stuff. I think he should be brought back for something WWE involved. Maybe narrate a documentary or bring him back for guest commentary, some mic work. The guy seems like a great talker.
Wwe needs to employ this guy
I hope they invite him over for a one-off backstage segment atleast.
Not after what he said about Vince 😂
@@JoshuaKulmatycki Vince is gone though and last I heard there’s not a single McMahon leading the new company that has merged with the UFC. Did some of them come back after Vince was removed?
@@JoshuaKulmatycki lol where have you been ?? Vince is gone from the company
At my age now I am absolutely fascinated by the show. All of it. The business is really cool when you know how and what they're doing.
Mavens ability to break down the 'secrets' while keeping some of his cards close to his chest is excellent. Gives us a deeper insight, but you know he has other stories to tell that are just for him/the boys
Maven, all I got to say, you're a great dude, and totally enjoy watching and learning everything that you have to teach us! Thanks brother!
OMG Maven is on Insider!! I love this!
Much respect to these guys. This looks incredibly difficult and taxing on the body.
Dude Maven is Killin It! Good to see. Great choice Business Insider
Maven has resurfaced and we see he is a real class act.
Snickers commercial idea when The Rock's hungry he becomes Maven
What's crazy about Maven's story is that 20 years ago, Maven's probably biggest issue for his career is that he couldn't "get over." He couldn't taper his personality to the business to engage with the fans. Now, 20 years later, he's "getting over" on YT.
Maybe he learned something during his time on HSN in a more relaxed environment and realized that he could be himself and people could actually find him interesting. Or maybe his personality was made for our current moment rather than the turn of the millenia. Happy for him. I hate praising people I don't know firsthand, but he seems like a good guy.
My dawg is on Insider! This is huge for him. Gonna take plenty traffic back to his channel. Good stuff
This is better then all of Netflix amazing dialogue and flow and narration and knowledge
I’ve seen this man UA-cam balloon from 50k to 400k and now he’s on insider lol. Good for you Maven!
If you understand the production and presentation of professional wrestling, you are well equipped to understand the theatricality of politics and business
wow, an educated comment. finally
