I'm on my second year of my wig journey due to alopecia where hair will never grow back. Watching you truly helps me, I love how positive you are and your attitude with wigs. It has helped me when I'm struggling and just feeling down. Thank you 💗
Hi Alicia, I am so happy you enjoy my videos and they are helpful to you! I know that hair loss can be so hard, it is such a personal journey for each of us, but we are so lucky that there is great hair to be had and we can have a great hair day everyday! Thank you again for your kind words, have a great day! xoxo
Of all the videos Ive watched on UA-cam about wigs yours look the most natural! I am still mulling over whether to purchase one or not but you have made me think I should. Thank you.
I got much out of your video, thank you. I have had several wigs for a year and half. But I hadn't won one until a few weeks ago. I wore it out to dinner and halfway through dinner I had to RUN to the bathroom because my wig was slipping off and needed to be put on again. I was horrified! Thank goodness I was with wonderful friends who love me and were understanding. Your video was so helpful and I will try your techniques before going out again.
Thank you so much i don’t speak English so good but you are so sweet and kind and you speak easy and well spoken so i can understand you are so so kind and generous with your words
Thank you so much for posting this! I've only been wearing wigs for about 5 months and I too have fine thin hair. Wig caps pop off my head and the wig grip bands ride up in the back so they're halfway up my head after a few hours. I bought the type of wig grip you have, with the elastic in the back, and it works perfectly! No more riding up! I have It Stays, but don't like having it all over my skin, so I took a tip from another UA-camr. After I put on the wig cap I spray it all over with Got to Be Freezing Spray. This adheres the cap to my head without being directly on my skin. I also love seeing the wig you've worn every month! It's a great way to see new styles and colors.
Thank you, for this!! I have every one of these products. I just didn't know how to combine them to give me a perfect, secure fit. Definitely, getting up in the morning and doing these steps with my "it stays" and wearing one of my wigs all day. You're awesome 👌 thanks, so much!!!
Thanks for this, Eileen! I’ve always been afraid to wear a wig cap because I have a really itchy scalp and I’m afraid it’ll make it worse, but I have one that I got with a WIG purchase and I think I’ll try it this week. I also bought that same style of wig grip after seeing it in one of your videos, but I find it rides up in the back, just like the Velcro ones do. So I’m waiting on a glue gun that I ordered from Amazon and I’m going to run a line of glue on the inside of the stretchy strap and see if it will act like silicone once it dries, like they do on the bottoms of socks, to make them nonslip. Thank you so much for your videos!
Not everyone like a wig cap however I find them comfortable and I love the wig grips with the elastic, they are the only ones that work for me. Thanks so much for watching and have a great week! xoxo
I am a new wig wearer, since March of this year. You have saved the day! My wigs don’t move in the front, I wear a wig grip, and right now my bio hair is short like yours, but it constantly rides up in the back, even with clips and Got2B whatever spray! It Stays works! My wig felt amazing all day! Thank you!
I am new to all this. I have two long wigs on order, and I own two short ones that I bought several years ago and never wore but a couple of times because they always felt like they were creeping back and up. I ordered some of the adhesive you mentioned and also a wing band and cap. Can't wait to try again.
I definitely am going to try the wig cap again. I always felt it was too tight, And I also am going to order It Stays. Now I know why I never see your sideburns. You get them to slick back - PERFECT! Also need to tuck the hair on my nape in sometimes. So I think the cap is a necessity. Thank you for your outstanding demo.
Hi Joanne, I like to slick back my sideburns, just works better for me; I love wearing the cap also. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! xoxo
Great video! I have all of these items…and many more! My head size is Ultra Petite & nothing stays in place for long. But I’ve never put It Stays in my hair. I’ll have to try that. The thing that works the best for me is the Milano Wig Grip Cap. I love it!!! I have the Original & the Lace Front version. Wow, you are beautiful without a wig! You would be pretty totally bald…not every woman would be! Thank you for sharing so much information to help us along in our wig journey💖
Thank you Eileen for this video because I use "It Stays" and I like the way you secure the cap with it and your bio hair is not going to slip out...plus there would seem to be no sticky residue on your wig. Thanks so much!! I am for sure ordering the wig grip and caps!!❤️
Thanks! I'm going to try this out. My hair is probly shorter than yours & I also have problems with wig grip & wig slipping in back. I do have its stays but wasn't sure how to use it. I'll give it a try now.
You are the reason I now have three wigs. I saw you on Instagram and was hooked. Yesterday was the first day my family got to see me in a full wig. I have worn a hair system for about 8 years, so it wasn't completely new to them. They were all very complementary including my teenage grandkids. It is so costly to wear a hair system. Trying to keep my bio hair colored and cut with a topper is very expensive. My wig collection would be unbelievable if I spent half of what I have on hair systems and my graying hair maintenance. Also being a breast cancer survivor at 57 put me into hair system mode too early. Believing that I was going to quickly have female patterned baldness sent me down that path. However, the wigs weren't as cute and natural looking as they are today. Everything happens for a reason. I really appreciate this video. A picture is worth a thousand words! I have a question about securing a lace front that is not laying flat. Would you use the It Stays to secure it? Thanks again for being so open about your wig journey! It truly has an impact.
I really don't use the It Stays directly on the lace, if you do please be careful when you remove it as you don't want to harm or tear the lace. Thanks for watching! xoxo
Thank you for doing this video. I have fine soft hair and have the same problem with it sliding off. I've not tried this kind. I'm going to get one and try it.🥰🥰
Hi, I’m new to this wig journey. I am losing my hair due to an autoimmune disease and fibromyalgia. I have ordered my first wig a d trying to watch as many videos as I can. I love yours. You explain things so well, and you gave me the courage to take the plunge. I just have a quick question, how do you keep your wigs on in the wind or if you wanted to go to the beach? The wig I ordered is Voltage petite by Raquel Welch in Glazed Hazelnut. Wish me luck when it arrives! And thank you once again! 😊
Thank you so much for sharing this! I always wondered about the cool wig grip you had that covers everything...now I realize it's two pieces, and LOVE the open ended cap!! Also am wondering what the main differences are between Untold Story and Upstage? They seem very similar~ Thank you for sharing your journey and knowledge with us! 😊
Thanks you for the visual demonstration. It's so helpful. I think I need to order more It Stays, since mine is dried out, along with this type of wig grip. I've only ever used Velcro grips and they ride up the back of my big, flat head. Thank you!
I went out for coffee today and SUDDENLY I felt my wig falling off and I have severe hairloss so OMG. I went to bathroom took it off and put it back 🤯😱. Thing is I had on a Velcro grip and usually wear one with back strap! Thanks for tutorial. I do have IT STAYS but never used! 🙌👏🏻💐🛐🙏🇬🇧
@@Crazywiglady I think I need to go back to the drawing board lol. Thanks for your helpful advice and for making your wonderful content which helps myself and so many others. God bless ☮️🛐🙌👏🏻💐xoxo
This kind of blows me away. I'm so glad that works for you. I feel like having all those items under my wig would make me so claustrophobic. 😅 Luckily I seem to be able to just wear my wig with nothing underneath it. However if the wind comes up I have to hang on to my hair! 😬
Fabulous video! I've been wearing wigs on and off and not using a cap or grip. The velcro back grips just ride up and I can't seem to find the type with elastic at the back here in England but I'll keep searching. Thanks for all the good tips in this video! You look brilliant in all the wigs! xx
Thank you Becky, I would love to do some makeup tutorials but finding the time is always difficult, maybe in the new year I will do some; thanks for watching! xoxo
Great idea! There are some wigs that I really need a grip and because I have buzzed my hair and don’t have a prominent occipital bone the grip slips right off. Will have to try the elastic back one! Thank you, Eileen…have a wonderful day ❤
Eileen, you make it look so easy and effortless. My problem is that my head sweats. I’m soaked by the bed of the day and even with it stays and a liner for sweating my wig slips. Any suggestions?
Hi Janet, I know several ladies who have this same issue, have you seen those liners made for wigs that absorb perspiration, I have heard those work well. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I don’t think I have ever seen your bio hair 😊 That untold story looks amazing on you. I did try ItStays but it did not prevent my wig from slipping back. I now use a wiggrip and got2Be glue under the lacefront (also helps with itching)
That wig looks gorgeous on you and so natural! You have the beautiful complexion necessary to wear certain shades of red hair very well. I am new to the wig-road, as I call it, and have concerns, like so many newbies do, about securing my wig. I am a little confused about the purpose of the It Stays. Are you using it strictly to secure the wig cap to your head before putting on the grip, or to secure the wig? Like you, headbands (such as the wig grip) have always slipped off of my fine, thinning bio hair, so I, too, keep my bio hair short,. But I’ve been doing so in order to avoid having to use both a grip and a cap. Can the It Stays be used on the bio hair/scalp, the way you used it, and then just put the wig on without a grip or cap? If the It Stays gets on the wig, is it necessary to wash the wig before you wear it again? This video was very helpful. Thank you!
Hi; I use the It Stays to keep my wig cap on, I always wear a cap and grip (that is just my personal comfort zone) but it is not necessary. You can use it stays on your bio hair but of course you will need to wash it out at the end of the day, you would probably not need to wash your wig every time after using it but it will cause you to have to wash more often. Thanks so much for watching!
I've been meaning to find this video again, and your video today about how to put on a wig reminded me. My question is - if I use a wig grip but not a wig cap, do I need to wash the adhesive out every night? Thanks!
I like having the wig cap on to secure the bio hair I still have in the back of my head but even with the It Stays Glue it still moves backward. Am I trying to make it too tight?
My head is flat in the back, and caps and grips tend to slide up. Maybe it would help me to use the adhesive and wig grip like yours. The grip that came up from the link you gave says it is adjustable and stretches, but the pictures don't show the elastic. I think it may not be the right one.
Thank you so much Lydia for catching that, I have corrected the link. I have the same trouble the wig cap and wig grip slip right off my hair if I don't use the adhesive, but the way I do it now it will stay all day with no problem. Thanks for watching, have a great day! xoxo
Thanks for making this one Eileen! I didn’t realize you can put the It Stays on bio hair. I’ve had it before and know it’s easy to wash out. I ordered the wig grip as well. I have the one without the elastic currently and it has started to stretch out of shape. Untold Story? Not available at WS1 until April 😮
I saw the video short, subscribed to your channel, then found this vid, which is a lifesaver for me! I've had alopecia now for 1 year and it's getting worse, especially in the front and I was having a problem with the wig band slipping. I cannot wait to employ your amazing technique! Just one question. Do you wash your hair every day to remove the adhesive or can you leave it in for 2-3 days? I normally wash my hair every 2-3 days because I want to keep as much of my bio hair as possible. Every time I wash it, it seems I lose a lot of hair 😞
Hi Maria, I'm so glad you found my channel and it is helpful; anytime I use the It Stays I wash my hair afterwards, you spray some water on it and remove the adhesive I keep my bio hair super short so I just normally wash it afterwards. Thanks for watching! xoxo
I've ordered It Stays and should receive in a couple of days. Like you, the regular Wig Grip slides off me in some of my wigs. I recently bought the one you showed with the elastic band in the back. My question is, will It Stays keep a wig secure without a wig grip or wig cap? This is what I was hoping for.
I have never tried to use the It Stay alone without a wig cap and grip as I like to keep my bio hair contained under the cap and grip. Thanks for watching, have a great week.
I thought this was a very informative video and will now apply my it stays the way you do. My Velcro wig grip is very thick at the back so I checked out the wig grip you used in the video from wig Studio One. It says one size fits all but I am very petite with a nearly 20 inch so I hesitate to buy it because it cannot be returned. Can you tell me how much of the elastic band in the back can be tightened? PS wig is beautiful on you.
Hi Susan I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I have a 21.25 inch head and the grip fit me perfectly, I think there might be a bit of room to tighten it but am not completely sure of the smallest measurement. Thanks for watching!
Thanks. I didn't see the short, but I was wondering if the cap was part of the wig grip and I see they are separate pieces. I don't use a cap, just the wig grip and have a similar problem with the velcro.
Hi Judy, no I really never have had any issues with my lace front, I have however heard of some ladies that have; I think there might be some UA-cam videos out there that address this issue. Thank you for watching and have a good day! xoxo
Eileen, I purchased a JR velvet wig grip similar to yours with the adjustable elastic strap. The Milano velcro ones are just too bulky for me. The JR one is really slippery and I wondered if that's the brand you have or that WS1 sells? Like the style but need one that stays in place! Thanks for all your information and support! 🥰
Hi Lisa, I am sorry you are having trouble with the it stays, I store mine upside down and that seems to help with the roller. Thanks for watching! xoxo
Hi Eileen, I'm wondering if you cut your own hair or have stylist do it? I don't feel confident to do it myself and really don't want my expensive stylist to do it. Thank you! 💗
How do I get my wig cap from not rolling up on the back of my head? It moves my wig around. I don’t have a problem with my wig, it’s just the caps. I’m not a fan of the grips because it feels too bulky on my head.
I hope you enjoy this short video showing how I apply my wig cap and grip; using this technique your wig will stay all day and never move! xoxo

Wow….you have a pretty facet hat natural hair or wigs looks great on you.
Love your video. I got Reese and Envir bit afraid to put the non.
Linda from Ihio
Great clear explanation thank you so much x
I like having the wig cap on to secure the bio hair I still have in the back of my head but even with the It Stays Glue it still moves backward. Am I trying to make it too tight?
I will definitely try this Eileen! Thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed the video Vivian and that it was helpful! Have a great week! xoxo
Thank you for the useful information.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for watching, have a great day! xoxo
Thanks! you look lovely with and without! Great videos!
Thanks Dixie, and thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! xoxo
Question. Do u have to wash the head cap after wearing the wig to get glue off? Off the cap? Love your videos so much.
Hi Carolyn, I usually wear it several times before having to wash it, the It Stays is water soluble, thanks for watching!
All decorated for Christmas! 🎄
I like to get started early! xoxo
Great demo!
Hi Becky! I love the It Stays, works great and easy to remove, Untold Story is absolutely worth the wait! thanks for watching! xoxo
Eileen how do you keep your It Stays stored. Thank you great video, with my TMJ I don't know still if I can wear my wig grips. Thank you Eileen.
I don't store it in any special way, just on my counter top. xoxo
Thank you.
Why don't see any of the links showing the products like you mentioned?
Hi Patricia if you go to the drop down box below the video (be sure to expand the box) all the links are listed there. xoxo
Thanks! ❤
Thanks. I didn't see the short, but I was wondering if the cap was part of the wig grip and I see they are separate pieces. I don't use a cap, just the wig grip and have a similar problem with the velcro.
These wig grips are wonderful, can't live without them! Thanks for watching Margaret! xoxo
Does your lace front on your wig ever itch, where it lies? Or makes the area you’re wearing it break out?
Hi Judy, no I really never have had any issues with my lace front, I have however heard of some ladies that have; I think there might be some UA-cam videos out there that address this issue. Thank you for watching and have a good day! xoxo
Great info. Thank you! Do you prefer human hair or heat resistant synthetic?
Hi Carla, I really don't wear much human hair, I love the ease of synthetics! Thanks for watching!
Thank you, Eileen. 😘 Love you in those OOLALA reds!
So glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching today! xoxo
Can you please show me how to take the size of the head ❤❤❤❤
I have a 21.25 inch head..
Great video, thanks!
Thanks for watching and commenting Joyce!
Hi Rebecca, the one I have is exclusive to Wigstudio1 and sold on their website, I love it! Thanks for watching! xoxo
@@Crazywiglady Eileen, would you say the wig grip from WigStudio1 is thinner than the Milano ones?
Hi Rebecca, I am sorry but I have never tried the Milano grip.
@@Crazywiglady Gotcha! Thanks anyway Eileen. I will try the WS1 brand 🥰
I love your videos but I have tried to use the "It Stays" but it is always hard to roll and pulls my hair out!! What am I doing wrong??
Hi Lisa, I am sorry you are having trouble with the it stays, I store mine upside down and that seems to help with the roller. Thanks for watching! xoxo
What about flying? Going through TSA? Does the metal on the wig grip make the thing beep?
I just flew this week, no issues at all..
Thank you very much! Does this wig grip tighten by moving the clip like a bra strap? When you put it on in this video, when did you tighten it?
Hi Lynn, yes you can tighten the band however I have not made any adjustment on mine, I wear it just like I showed in the video. Thanks for watching!
Pretty color on you!
Thanks Judy! xoxo
thank u for this !!
Hi Eileen, I'm wondering if you cut your own hair or have stylist do it? I don't feel confident to do it myself and really don't want my expensive stylist to do it. Thank you! 💗
Hi; I am too afraid to try and cut my own hair, I have my stylist cut it super short. Thanks for watching! xoxo
I love watching your videos
Thank you so much Diana, I am so glad you enjoy them!
@Crazywiglady are all the wigs you wear lace fronts?
Oh no, I review lots of basic caps as well. xoxo
@@Crazywiglady thank you!
How do I get my wig cap from not rolling up on the back of my head? It moves my wig around. I don’t have a problem with my wig, it’s just the caps. I’m not a fan of the grips because it feels too bulky on my head.
Have you tried a bit of "It Stays" at the nape, that might help.
@@Crazywiglady I will have to get some and try that.
Thank you
Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching Tammy! xoxo
