Obviously she is going to conflict with anyone who is opposed to Eggman. Trip seems to be a harder issue to me-- her traits are that she wants to be helpful and be included, she is extremely unlucky and she is very emotional to where she will easily cry or get angry and lash out or get embarrassed and hide under her helmet. But she doesn't really have a clear motivation and it seems like she doesn't naturally generate any conflict with other characters. I have to wonder-- you get to write the next time Sage encounters Sonic and Trip encounters Fang, so do you already have ideas in your head about how to handle this? Or-- do you suspect IDW comics will never be able to play with these characters?

I know it's a popular ship with fans but I clearly don't see it happening.

I personally like Knuckles x Rouge cause they have a bit of a Batman/Catwoman or Scrooge/Goldie dynamic.

@@Caybee1999 Opinion respected. I respect those who ship them together because everyone has the right to do what they want as long as it doesn't exceed the limits (like Cream and Eggman for example).
I personally don't see it as a very healthy pair either but I get the popularity, I still very much prefer Knuckles with Julie-Su or Shade, the relationships feel more genuine.
Honestly I'm 50/50 on the pairing, if Rouge goes for Shadow or Knuckles I wouldn't have a problem because there's reasons for both sides.

I don't know of you asked but: If Eggman Nega survived in Chaotic Inferno would he end up becoming a controlled slave of Ifrit? Do you think Ifrit would try to control Negg to try to find a way to get him out of Chaotic Inferno?
Personally, I think Nega\Naga surviving and Scavenging around chaotic Inferno to find anything that he can use to get out of there while avoiding the detection of the Ifrit would be interesting and would be even more cool if he came out all Shaggy looking just like movie Robotnik "Scavenging and surviving on the mushroom planet" And having Naga became even more insane then he ever was before riding on top of a mechanize controlled Ifrit, either going back to his timeline to reclaim what rightfully was his or play the sol dimension a visit.

My Question:
In a previous video, you talked about the badniks not having the same sentience as Gamma or the Hard Boiled Heavies, which means Sonic is not snuffing out mechanical life, but Sonic and friends destroyed the Mirage Express, a badnik who has shown to have sentience and emotional attachment to another. At the end, while it was dying, it apologized to the Conductor for all the trouble it caused, which someone pointed out to me, suggesting a capacity for empathy. You would think Sonic and friends would rebuild it with a different power source that doesn't run on Flickies, like how Tails repaired and reprogrammed Gemerl. That's the only problem with The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog being canon. Since you've said everything is canon, was the Mirage Express the exception?
This really depends what he means about that, imo if he means not having sentient at all then that's really contradictory what we have seen or if he means they just don't have the same degree as sentience then I can understand. Like most Badniks do appear to possess some degree of sentience, as they can express basic emotions and do stuff under their own free will, and stuff like that such as fawning over Dr. Eggman and celebrating his birthday party on their own volition, as well as showing fear and stress moments before being destroyed. But Despite being sentient, most Badniks can only comprehend simple tasks such as trying to kill Sonic though.
Badniks are sentient enough to simp for Rouge in Sonic Generations lmao

A while back when Imposter Syndrome was coming out, IDW gave us a look at some pitch documents with some text censored out in a TikTok, with only a description of the characters being left to see.
I assume this censored text was the original storyline pitch that would become Imposter Syndrome and Issue 50. Would it be possible to see or hear these original pitch descriptions of the story now that their debut story has been told?
Or if that’s not possible due to license mumbo jumbo, how do you go about the process of creating a pitch document? (Ie. characters, story, etc)
Always like hearing about the background details that lead up to the final products we see!
