1:59 - In the Overpowered arc, how come Surge stopped seeing ghost Starline after the end of issue #54? The dynamo cage seemed like it was still having side effects on her mentally, and there were moments where she and Kit were separated, so Kit wasn't around to help keep her grounded. Weirdly, ghost Starline stopped appearing the same time the covers and synopsis for #55 started bringing him up, though I understand you didn't have control over how those were made.
2:35 - Shadow & Rouge in Sonic Underground: So, Alt Universe season 2 of ""1999s Sonic Underground animated series"" is adding Shadow the Hedgehog (Portrayed by Will Friedle, Voice of the Terry McGinnis Beyond Batman) and Rouge the Bat (Portrayed by Eartha Kitt, Voice of Yzma) to the cast. I’d include Sage, but she’s probably not getting treated much differently in this case, she’s just getting a big sister too.

20:46 - One concept I find interesting are "Role swaps". When two characters basically swap roles within a narrative, as it can create interesting "What if" stories. SO....one day as Sonic and Whisper wake up, Sonic is now the sniper with the variable wispon and member of the Diamond Cutters, and Whisper is the fastest thing alive, having Sonic's super powers. How did this happen? Eh, let's say Mr Mxyzptlk from Superman did it. How would Sonic and Whisper handle this until they manage to swap back?
23:24 - Rouge gets a job as a cashier at McDonalds. One day a completely drunk Knuckles walks into the restaurant insisting that he is at Burger King and tries to order a Whooper. How would Rouge handle the situation?
24:46 - What would a romantic relationship between the Phantom Ruby and Master Emerald be like, assuming both have sentience (I know the former doesn't really in canon, but let's pretend it does)?
25:16 - Given the many, many, things that litter the orbit of Sonic's planet- the odd death egg or 2, an ark, a giant dead lizard (for the sake of the joke)- is there a lone astronomy scientist slowly loosing their mind every time eggman launches something up there?
26:26 - We all know that Sonic's greatest attribute is Speed, and he has infinite potential. But what about his ability to absorb energy? Sonic seems to have the uncanny ability to absorb different energies to augment his skills or transform. An example is how he absorbs ring energy, Chaos Emer energy (drives and emeralds), the wisp, and cyberspace. What about from other universes?
27:03 - Power scaling question: Okay so we know Sonic couldn't beat Goku in a fight, but there is one beloved character who made their debut in Sonic Adventure that I'm that even you Ian would agree would curbstomp Goku without even trying. Given this, can we logically deduce that the Monkey Destruction Switch in all its Goku-slaying glory is canonically the most powerful character in the Sonic franchise?

Eartha Kitt as Rouge, if a Sonic movie had gotten off the ground much earlier like they originally planned, i.e. before her death, it would've been golden. Now I'm just imagining other Rogue VAs trying to do an Eartha Kitt impression because the queen can't be topped.

10:51 Thinking about it, maybe it was for the best Gemerl wasn’t in Rush considering Blaze came to visit, and I don’t think she met a robot she didn’t want to wreck before this point. If Blaze was wary of Cream the Rabbit of all people, I doubt she’d let an Eggman’s robot pour her tea.

To be honest, explaining all of Sonic's abilities that he used Cyberspace is a bit silly, because the game itself clearly makes it clear that these are Sonic's own powers. For example, Sonic Boom, Homing Shot and Spin Slash, which the games describe as shock waves, and not as something from Cyberspace. The only techniques that can be attributed to the Cyberspace (gameplay) are Cyloop, which Kishimoto confirmed to be a tool of the Ancients, and three techniques that Sonic receives after absorbing cyber corruption when he frees his friends, but surprisingly they did not disappear in the first ending, where Sonic is completely cured of it.
The Reddit post that appears when googling Ian Flynn features a Tweet from Mr. Flynn about shipping that I feel many in the fandom should see.

Ian, when or if you write Trip the Sungazer for an IDW Comics Classic Era story, how would you potray her shy, yet heroic personality and how would you write her dialogue?
On the Fearless: Year of Shadow website, there's a little segment talking about Dark Rider, Shadow's motorcycle, since a real one was made for the year of Shadow. It mentions that it was originally a standard issue GUN motorcycle, and wasn’t given the name Dark Rider until Shadow modified it to compete in the All-Stars Grand Prix, seemingly talking about the 1st All Stars Racing game where Shadow raced on Dark Rider.
If the All Stars games are canon, I'd imagine that it was just a grand prix with Sonic and friends since there's no story, and I'd assume that the appearances of all the non-Sonic characters isn't canon.
I know Sonic and Eggman were Marty and Doc for the Storybook question, but now I can't help but see Silver and Professor Von Schlemmer in those roles.

For Shadow's bike, the text just says that he used his bike for grand prix like the all star, nothing indicates that they are canon, it's just a small reference.
I also think that Amy's car was simply taken from the games.

Rouge is Yzma from Emperor's New Groove, who was voiced by Eartha Kitt. In the episode, Ian did an impression of Patrick Warburton (who played Kronk in the same movie) as Shadow. And Infinite is getting bullied for being WEAK, as he does. Hope that helps! -Kyle

I'm a few chapters into a Sonic fanfic that I'm trying to depict as similar to the games in structure, and that means playable characters. I already have Sonic, and plan to later focus on Tails, Amy, and Knuckles, but that's only four characters! I briefly considered Rouge, Sticks, and Cream since they've all been considered the 5th ranger at one point or another, but that feels strained. Eggman's the big bad, so no playable him, and Shadow's a no go for personal reasons. What three characters would you recommend for my hypothetical Sonic Finale?
If you're not using Shadow, maybe bring in Metal Sonic as Eggman's enforcer/Sonic's rival?
@@johnnygyro2295 Not him either. Metal's still Eggman's enforcer, but he's a boss character on at least two occasions (first fought by Sonic and later by Amy)

@@johnnygyro2295 No, not a reboot(though I do take some creative liberties). Metal Sonic is Sonic's first boss, and I plan on Metal Sonic being the final boss of Amy's Story.
I'm trying to write a hypothetical finale for the series. Not a 'bad guys die' type ending but more 'Adventures Continue but it's also possible Eggman calls it quits or something.' Like, if this was the final Sonic game in my lifetime, would I be content? Definitely not, I'm only an ideas girl, but not for lack of trying.
