Also, YOU helped write Sonic Forces: Stress Test where Chaos battles Knuckles AND Silver at the same time. So to reiterate: How would you set up an IDW story where Chaos and Shadow have a high-stakes battle?

Fun fact: According to the Super Exciting Guide: Character Volume which has interviews from Toriyama, Mr. Satan is a ring name while his real name is simply Mark (pronounced Maku in Japanese). The pun is still there because his name is rearranged from the word Akuma meaning devil.
I love the idea of a company doing that kind of contest for their fans...

I never really thought about it until there were rumors about Jim Carrey not playing Eggman in Sonic 3, but... really, Maria Robotnik as a villain in some Sonic continuity would be incredibly cool. Like everything she went through as a child just completely caused her to become bitter about the world and she managed to survive her disease in some less-than-ideal way despite losing Project Shadow and now she is a 60-year old woman who now truly does want her revenge on the world despite that not being at all who she was when she was 10.
Actually that’s a really good idea for a revival for Maria.

Leading off from the Fang the Hunter mini-series and Superstars, if Fang and team hooligan were to end up on the Northstar Island (whether they've reconciled or not), what would Bark and Bean's reaction be to meeting Trip? And how would this situation go down with Fang?

I'd imagine Amy getting annoyed at Sarah's attitude but in a fight I think Sarah would have Toon Force variety but Amy would have better attack range 😂

28:20 For me a more plausible explanation, from what I have noticed in the various points of the franchise, video games and anime, and that in a sense the chaos emeralds have a kind of "limit" in reviving someone. In '06 Soic, he had "bound" his spirit to the wind and so technically speaking he was a ghost so he had not yet ascended to Heaven giving Elise's power combined with the chaos emeralds a chance to bring him back to life and for Shadow too in his own game and anime also if for he was a sort of death in stasis/apparent death or out-of-body experience but in the case of Cosmo and Maria, their spirits were already kindling to Heaven and at the time of SA2 the chaos emeralds were not even present to attempt such a thing however in Cosmo's case they actually created a kind of vessel in case Cosmo decided to reincarnate complete with memories (although in one of the two versions the seed is referred to as Cosmo's son/daughter) while for Tikal the situation is different: Tikal by now literally could no longer survive however she bound her spirit to Master Emerald and thus became a kind of ghost. When things settled down she and Chaos went up to Heaven. Basically it is as if they know that certain limits of balance cannot be violated however they give the possibility of being able to communicate with them and have them come back to help or prepare something for them to be reincarnated.

Well, now I feel bad. I feel like the sonic being dumb comments were directed at my responses it's just that the character means a lot to me and and it hurts me a lot to hear people underestimate him in intelligence, Strength, ect I know it shouldn't hurt me so much but it does I care about that blue boy more than a normal person should 😅

@@SethLyons-wc3wd Oh that’s been brought up quite a bit actually, such as on the June 22nd, 2022 BumbleKast at 38:35 (where they discuss the hypothetical player characters and the possible premise), or on the March 29th, 2023 episode at 33:31 (where he goes over how he would establish elements introduced since Adventure 2 into the third entry).

@@SethLyons-wc3wd Ah, story concepts are a no-go, I'm afraid. Ian steers clear of all fan material, whether it's fan fiction, fan continuations (like Satam season 3 or the Archie continuation), or even stuff from folk that now work on the franchise (like Evan's GOTF comic and Tyson's Big Fat Adventure parody) so he doesn't accidentally lift ideas from them.
