It’s a fantastic exhibit everyone!! I had the opportunity to see it just before the pandemic while it was still stationed at the London film museum (easily one of the coolest things I got to do when I was studying abroad in London). DEFINITELY make time to visit the exhibit if you’re able, especially if you’re a bond fan!!!
Love that “Bond in Motion” exhibit. I got to sit in that Aston Martin for “Die Another Day” 7:04 back in Newport Beach, CA (Fashion Island) where the local Aston Martin dealership had a large exhibit of all the vehicles used in the movie back when the movie was in theatres. One of the film crew was on hand and told me that Vanquish is on a Ford Explorer chassis and has 2 different transmissions. He said they had to put bald tires on it - in order to get it to slide better for filming.
Totally agree with you on the V8 vantage. That was my favourite Aston as a teenager and I remember how awesome it was to see it in “The Living Daylights” back in the day
Having spent many weekends over the past 20 years as part of the Ian Fleming Foundation's work to restore many of the vehicles on display it is great to see them shine in this venue. I've been privileged to drive the Cougar, sit in the Bathosub and climb into the Neptune Sub.
I saw this exhibit when it was in London. Really pleased to see the cars have a new home. There's something breathtaking about standing next to the cars that were actually in the film.
Went to the exhibition in London and loved it, my favourite was the lotus from spy who loved me, love that car. The bashed up Aston from quantum was also really impressive
Thanks David for this video which I have only just come across on your You Tube channel. I never made it to this exhibit in Los Angeles but I did go to the latest one at Brussels Expo just before Christmas where they had a revolving Aston Martin from No Time to Die....
I was at the "Bond in Motion" exhibit 2 years ago in London (just learned that it was closed this year, whioch is probably why they are in LA now) ... I did not want to leave! Totaly worth your money and time.
F.Y.I - the Citröen 2CV from For Your Eyes Only in your excellent video had a cut off front because this particular shell was used purely for work with the actors. No front end simply meant that the camera could get in nice and close….I’m guessing as it sat on a trailer of some kind. I was lucky enough to see this exhibition some years ago here in England. It really is a must for any Bond fan. Great work as always, David.
Just went here the other day. Great exhibit. I agree that the Q boat looked a little more green, and smaller too. Didnt see the switchblade glider when I was there.
Thank you as always David for another brilliant video! The last time I saw those particular vehicles was when they were stationed at the London Transport museum a few years ago. I'm not sure if you know, but Beaulieu is hosting the No Time To Die vehicles currently in their own exhibition, I like many others can't wait to get along there. They even have props like the Bionic Eye too!
I remember seeing this exhibit in London in 2015 - but it looks like it's been significantly expanded since then! Loved this video - it really was just like being there!
Missed the exhibition in London. Really kicking myself now! Always loved the Mustang since I saw DAF as a kid, but that DB 10 WOW, if only I could fit in it!!!
Thanks for posting David! I live a few miles from there so popped on over today. I’m surprised the oldest Bond “vehicle”, the helicopter from ‘From Russia with love’ was stationed outside the entrance in the parking lot. It was really cool to see all the cars, etc.
Such a wide and varied assortment of Bond vehicles , who wouldn't enjoy this exhibition. Going forward next time (Bond 26) i personally would really like to see Bond in a Bentley.
Yes the Aston Martin Vantage from TLD is the best Bond car ever. When I first saw it I thought it was a 67/68 Mustang coupe, which I was a huge fan of in my teens in the 80’s.
@@ohroonoko Yes he did drive a Bentley (an early vintage model) in the original books. I believe it featured briefly in FRWL. Also the later John Gardener novels had Bond driving a 1980's Bentley also. So the Bentley connection is there already 👍
One of the BMW's from tomorrow never dies once stood in a tech museum in the south of the Netherlands. Really impressive to see how they made all of these cars
Saw this collection in Covent Garden three years ago. The best Bond car collection however, was based up in Keswick at the Bond Museum where I visited about 11 years ago. It contained all three of Rogers Lotus Esprits as well as a great deal of the pieces shown in this video. Sadly not long after I visited, the owner sold everything along with all the exhibits from his other Cars of the Stars museum.
Thanks David! What an amazing exhibit! I’d struggle to get past the first DB5 let alone see the rest! If I could take just one, it’s a toss up between that and the Living Daylights Aston Martin. Nice problem to have!!
I'm surprised you said the wetbike was not peoples favorite. Ever since I first saw TSWLM as a kid it was THE coolest thing I ever! I finally got to ride one in 2000 and I was in heaven! Of course though it's all about the DB5... or 10!
Looks like the actual car on my screen, which is now in the Saratoga Automobile Museum in NY. Silver Birch - an awesome color. Sitting in front of the large B&W photo might confuse the eye.
I’ve been to the Bond in Motion museum in London on a few occasions! It is fantastic, but not quite as large as this one I don’t think! Did they use multiples of the same cars for a lot of these Bond films as a lot of these exact cars are in London as well? Were they all used in the films I wonder from both museums? I would hope so!
Looks like they are the same cars and the London exhibit has now closed by the sounds of the following, Bond In Motion has been exhibited in The London Film Museum from March 2014 until January 2021 (read here about the launch event in 2014). Transportation of eight automobiles from the United Kingdom was generously donated and managed by DHL, who oversaw logistics for the last five Bond films and is the official partner of No Time To Die (2021).
Never made it to the London exhibition of this, just the gift shop but did see the Die Another Day Jag in the early 00s. Now own a black vantage and QoS Edition Alfa 159 from the chase scene. Really feels like a villain's car
😎 Awesome! Thanks! I adore the TLD Vantage, too. I’m surprised it’s actually gray. It reads black to me when I’m watching the movie. Although the bigger shock is the Q-Boat being green! I would have never guessed that.
Recently sold the Cream/Blue R1200C to my buddy. Own the 2006 Vanquish S (Solway Grey) and am considering selling it as well. Just want to retire and travel. Atlanta based and located. I owned the R1200C for about 8 years and have owned the Vanquish S for about 5 years --- it's been fun playing Bond going out to dinner, etc. with the wife.
I could stay there for hours. I've seen the lotus from TSWLM at a exhibition in the late 80s, I would love to see the model they used to film under water. The Aston Martin V8 I think it's called from TLD is the one I would want.
Does the early 2000s Toyota Landcruiser Craig drives in NTTD in the Jedi forest equal a "Bond car" ? While the new DBS Superleggera coupe doesn't because it is driven by 007 (Nomi, the non-Bond 007)? Is the Valhalla still a Bond car even though M's walks past it in a wind tunnel? And is the 1974 Vantage V8 no longer a "Bond car" as it was last seen driven by Madeleine Swan? Or is the Vesper (in-joke) motorbike driven by Nomi a "Bond vehicle" as Bond gets a lift on it? Likewise the stealthy bird glider? "Bond vehicles" get really confusing in No Time to Die...at least the DB5 had Italian number plates even though Bond was driving on the wrong side in Italy...he has a licence to kill, not to disobey the traffic laws...but now Bond has been killed by navy missiles, I guess Bond is no longer in Motion...unless he is on the stairway to heaven?
Shame modern Bond have zero fun/exciting/new vehicles! I mean these days there are crazy electric cars, drone vehicles, jet pacs…submarines that look like dolphins etc…… modern bond is so boring! 🤯🤯🤯🤡🤡🤡🌍🌍🌍
@the bond experience Wow! I sent you an email two months ago about revisiting this idea of Bond cars because I have access to one of the original Aston Martin DB5s and you ignored me! And here is your video! Very disappointed at how unprofessional you have been with me. I know most of your followers won’t know or care, but as someone who got into UA-cam because of watching you all these years and supported your channel, then be blatantly ignored and snubbed by you just because I have a new smaller channel, I am very disappointed in you David.
sorry you feel this way, but I did reply to you, and as you can imagine I can't correspond regularly with everyone that connects with me. I wish I had the time, believe me. I think you also wanted me to help you with technical issues you were having etc. Again, time is a factor in me engaging like this. Also, this video was in the making for some time. But I truly wish you the Best of luck on your UA-cam channel though!
Are you serious? Grow up, what proof have you got that he stole this idea from you? Or that your email sparked this video? Even if he did you sent him the idea in the first place y’a muppet
It’s a fantastic exhibit everyone!! I had the opportunity to see it just before the pandemic while it was still stationed at the London film museum (easily one of the coolest things I got to do when I was studying abroad in London). DEFINITELY make time to visit the exhibit if you’re able, especially if you’re a bond fan!!!
it would have been hilarious if they left the space for the Die-another-Day-Aston empty, saying that it is invisible
LOL
I was gunna say this :')
Lmao! That that’s amazing, and a missed opportunity 😂
😂 oh i like it...thats funny. Yeah next to could be a sign saying "Please Don't Touch" hilarious 👍
I absolutely love the Lotus Esprit Turbo submarine! Especially the Aston Martin DB collection.
The Aston Martin Vantage is my absolute favorite. Gorgeous!
He said they had to put bald tires on it - in order to get it to slide better for filming.
I saw the Bond in Motion exhibit in London a few years ago, and this one is even better! Thanks.
The DB10 is a thing of extreme beauty.
Awesome Video! I remembered practically every vehicle and its film! Guess this makes me a fan!
I went after seeing this video. Was prepared for everything I saw thanks to this channel 😎
I saw this exhibit when it was in London. Really pleased to see the cars have a new home. There's something breathtaking about standing next to the cars that were actually in the film.
The bathosub was prepared by George Barris, who also customized the Batmobile from the 1966 television show.
It was one of my favorites of the exhibition. Very exciting to look inside.
Great video again! Love this channel.
Went to the exhibition in London and loved it, my favourite was the lotus from spy who loved me, love that car. The bashed up Aston from quantum was also really impressive
Me too, I loved looking at the character's passports as well. Gave some interesting information about the characters!
Yes, the bashed up car from Quantum left an impression on me too!
Great video! I saw most of these vehicles at the 'Bond in Motion' exhibition here in London.
What an amazing display.
Loved it.........thank you
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. 🙏🏽🖖🏽😉😊 so cool. I need to make my way to the museum. I’ve never been.
Hope the exhibition makes it way to Australia one day!
David the content is just off the charts great lately
Thanks David for this video which I have only just come across on your You Tube channel. I never made it to this exhibit in Los Angeles but I did go to the latest one at Brussels Expo just before Christmas where they had a revolving Aston Martin from No Time to Die....
Brilliant David. Thanks
I was at the "Bond in Motion" exhibit 2 years ago in London (just learned that it was closed this year, whioch is probably why they are in LA now) ... I did not want to leave! Totaly worth your money and time.
I saw it in London too! Unfortunately it’s not in London anymore, and is now in Los Angeles for the next year.
What city is it in and is it still going
FYEO had one of my favorite car chases. That tough yellow citroen lol
I'll be there on Friday, looking forward to it.
Just went here the other day. Great exhibit. I agree that the Q boat looked a little more green, and smaller too. Didnt see the switchblade glider when I was there.
Any idea if this is coming to New York at all?
It's now at the Saratoga Automobile Museum for most of 2023. Not the whole thing, not enough room, but all the best cars.
Hopefully an exhibit like this one makes its way to New York, its a bit closer to where I live in CT. Great work, sirs!
As much would fit is now at the Saratoga Automobile Museum, Saratoga Springs, New York. Until November 2023.
I saw this when it was in London, it's well worth checking out if you get the chance.
Wonderful experience
Thank you as always David for another brilliant video! The last time I saw those particular vehicles was when they were stationed at the London Transport museum a few years ago. I'd love to go to this! Shame it's across the pond from me! Great tour! I absolutely love the Aston from The Living Daylights, it's just so beautiful!
Missed the exhibition in London. Really kicking myself now!
Always loved the Mustang since I saw DAF as a kid, but that DB 10 WOW, if only I could fit in it!!!
Love a lot
Thanks for posting David! I live a few miles from there so popped on over today. I’m surprised the oldest Bond “vehicle”, the helicopter from ‘From Russia with love’ was stationed outside the entrance in the parking lot. It was really cool to see all the cars, etc.
The Living Daylights Aston for me 🙂
Such a wide and varied assortment of Bond vehicles , who wouldn't enjoy this exhibition. Going forward next time (Bond 26) i personally would really like to see Bond in a Bentley.
Is the Lotus submarine like a 3/4 scale model?
Yes the Aston Martin Vantage from TLD is the best Bond car ever. When I first saw it I thought it was a 67/68 Mustang coupe, which I was a huge fan of in my teens in the 80’s.
Didn’t James Bond drive a Bentley in some of Ian Fleming’s novels?
The DB 10 was a one-off concept car which became the DB 11, and that’s a sweet sweet car, especially the Superleggera version.
@@ohroonoko Yes he did drive a Bentley (an early vintage model) in the original books. I believe it featured briefly in FRWL. Also the later John Gardener novels had Bond driving a 1980's Bentley also. So the Bentley connection is there already 👍
Great video David! What trousers are you wearing in the thumbnail? I’m going for a Bond look for a dinner party coming up this Christmas
Excellent video David, it looks much better than the BOM in London, just due to having more space, and being lighter (not in a basement),
This is SO COOL
One of the BMW's from tomorrow never dies once stood in a tech museum in the south of the Netherlands. Really impressive to see how they made all of these cars
Saw this collection in Covent Garden three years ago.

Saw the exhibition in London a few years back which i enjoyed.
But this set up with much more space and better lighting looks a lot better experience.
It was a collection from the Lake District. M.
I was on set for World is Not enough and the Q boat was definitely black
Did I mention I drove that Cougar once? I did. The car looks fantastic. It doesn't drive so well. It is more than 50 years old after all. :-)
What an extraordinary experience! Amazing! P.S. I may sound predictable but i would take home the DB5 without a second thought
I had the OHMSS DBS and my friend now has an AMV8 favourite car
That one great expedition. I would take the DBS from CR/QOS any day. Or the Vanquish off DAD, the car that started the love for Bond and AM.
Thanks David! What an amazing exhibit! I’d struggle to get past the first DB5 let alone see the rest! If I could take just one, it’s a toss up between that and the Living Daylights Aston Martin. Nice problem to have!!
Re: The Mustang from Diamonds Are Forever. I saw it before it was rehabbed. It was a wreck. They did an amazing job with it.
I'm surprised you said the wetbike was not peoples favorite. Ever since I first saw TSWLM as a kid it was THE coolest thing I ever! I finally got to ride one in 2000 and I was in heaven! Of course though it's all about the DB5... or 10!
Man I wish they had these kinds of museums in canada. Lol if it was like anywhere closer than California I'd be heading out there this second🤣
Wrong color for the DB5, or is that your camera changing the white balance? It looks cream, but when you move it looks silver.
Looks like the actual car on my screen, which is now in the Saratoga Automobile Museum in NY. Silver Birch - an awesome color. Sitting in front of the large B&W photo might confuse the eye.

My favorites are the QoS Battle Damaged DBS and the old DB5. Honorable Mentions: the DB10 and the Vantage
Never made it to the London exhibition of this, just the gift shop but did see the Die Another Day Jag in the early 00s. Now own a black vantage and QoS Edition Alfa 159 from the chase scene. Really feels like a villain's car

it’s nice to see they totally ignored on her Majesty Secret Service guess I don’t have to go and see the exhibit now
Is this a permanent museum? Oh wait Nevermind, I see it goes through October….wish it was permanent, ugh, or was coming to the eastern US next.
It did - as much would fit is now at the Saratoga Automobile Museum.

“Yes James. Are we back to first name terms now? By the way, what is a BOND BUG?” asked Penny Galore.
“Well 003. Sorry, I mean Penny. How many people do you know have a car named after them Penny? Q bought this three-wheeler fibre glass car and I was standing right behind him when he started converting it to one of his super gadgets. A fully submersible car that goes on land and under water. I hear him sigh, like he does and say.
‘ This will piss 007 off. Aston Martin to three-wheeler. It will really bug him’
So I said, you had better call it a BOND BUG 007. Q didn’t laugh!”
“More like a Poor Man’s Lotus 007!” Q replied with an upside-down smile across his lips!
The BOND BUG 007 will make its first appearance in 2022 !
