I live in LA and I love going to the Peterson museum at least every few months because they rotate cars out of the garages onto the viewing floors and have new exhibits. The last time I went they had a Ferrari tribute exhibit with every Ferrari in that last room (and more) on display, it almost brought me to tears seeing these cars in person 😆
seeing real versions of the mystery machine and lightning mcqueen just casually in the background not being mentioned really shows how impressive that place is
I took my nephews to Disneyland and I made sure to make this a stop as I've been 4 times and it's my version of Disneyland! It really is surreal walking through and seeing so many famous and priceless cars. Always new exhibits and everything is immaculate. It's also very affordable at 15 bucks a person, and the vault is a no-brainer at 25 bucks. A must for anyone who loves cars and can make the trip to LA. The highlight of all my trips was the 1939 Bugatti Atlantic in light blue. It caught my eye and I was checking it out, I found out years later I was looking at one of the most expensive cars in the world, worth $60M!
I got the chance to visit this car museum about a year ago and let me tell you, it was the experience of a lifetime! What a collection of cars they have!
I went to the Petersen two years ago and spent 5hrs and still couldn't see everything. My best friend bought the tickets as a gift and we did the general admission, the Vault and inside the Vault instead of the Ferrari they had a Porsche endurance Racing cars exhibition like the 956 and 962 in Rothmans, Copenhagen and Leyton House among others, UNREAL!!!
I does not surprise me that the Cybertruck is the title shot of this video. It will of course be the most valuable car in that collection in 20 years time. The car that broke the legacy car industry.
When the guy was talking about the Tesla Roadster 2 and he said “1 in the front, 2 in the back”, was anyone expecting Matt to turn and look at the camera….because I was! 😂😂
No way!!! Welcome to Los Angeles!!! Been going there since I was a kid, got to see the cybertruck back in 2020, super cool! Anyone who can go, better go!
I recognised Eleanor right away! :) Hruscev's and Hussein's cars are both really nice looking and also the one at 10:00. But as a collectible I think Kit would be my choice if I had the money. I watched Knight Rider as a child a lot.
How the hell can a place like that even exist! I want to know more about how the place itself runs. How do they get the cars etc Maintenance, rotation, insurance etc Fascinating
Fastest would've been their Koenigsegg Agera (used in the Need For Speed Movie). Most dangerous would probably be a high speed race car with no safety features and a ton of power
With all those different types of cars... wow... it is absolutely insane.... and the price is truly expensive.... only few people can avail this.... thank you for featuring this.... it is one of a very unique content.....
Can't comprehend Mat's immensely plentiful picks, I guess my picks based on instinctive likings on watching car reviews only brought me wanting the Hyundai i20N, Lexus IS500, and for something out of mainstream reach Lexus LFA Oh, Lotus Elise (I would love to have this too), small others would be Autozam AZ-1 American: F-150 Raptor, Escalade V Europe: F8 Tributo, GT4 RS
went to see the Tar Pits in LA in 2019, and this museum was right across the road. So I went in there as well and it was the best surprise visit I ever did. Absolutely jaw dropping stuff inside. Brilliant video
As years go by these older cars wont be as desirable and prices will decrease while some legendary cars from the 70's onwards will increase in value exponentially.
$100M is set aside exclusively for the 'normal' cars, but as you delve into the realm of truly rare treasures, like vintage Ferraris and breathtaking exotics such as Koenigsegg and Bugatti, the price escalates dramatically, reaching an astounding $500M! And that figure is just an estimate based on the cars I'm familiar with. It's incredible to think of the countless hidden gems out there that we may never even hear about!
Amazing staff here, for me yes the first Ferrari ever built is the deal , when you pay your $50m right there you know you have value for money, ferrari is an iconic brand, to own their very first car is something special
That guy putting value on these cars must have been living under a rock for the past years. As crazy as car prices in the US have become, I would say he is waaaaaay off on every single one of them. I would say triple every price - at least.
Love the video Mat but my god UA-cam killed it with the amount of ads they ran through it. Can not believe you passed on Steve McQueens Jag???? WTF..... I definitely would have picked the CyberTruck too tho.
Cybertruck wont be coming to Europe (even though they’ve taken reservations here) exactly because of its stainless steel body, it's not road legal here because of the pedestrian safety not being good enough.
that Mercedes from Marcos is literally the scariest car back when he announced martial law in the Philippines, you'll piss your pants every time you see that around manila back then😂

Yep. The museum kinda reminded me to 2009 Top Gear.

Agree. The First Motors in Dubai must've been very rich from that point.😊
Well, first motor in Dubai is literally a dealership, this is an automotive museum that also functions as a collection.
