You won't believe some of the cars and collections that lurk in Los Angeles! Here are three of the very best; the history, rarities and celebrity owned cars at the Petersen Museum, the Le Mans winning cars of Bruce Meyer's collection, and finally the incredible mancave display of Swank Rides Garage! Isn't it amazing to see how each is curated and displayed?!
I never get tired of seeing Bruce Meyer's collection!!! He's such an important part of automotive history & such an awesome person to boot!!! A tip of the hat 🎩 to you sir.. Thanks for all you do for the automotive world....
Loudmanv8 Are you a fellow Buckeye? I don’t ever think of Ohio as a super car or car collection state. The most expensive I’ve ever seen are 2 New Bentley’s SuV and sedan. I’ve seen a 458 twice. I see Tesla’s pretty often. The occasional higher end BMW Audi or Mercedes also goes by. I would love to live somewhere that supercars are common or close enough to it.
Loudmanv8 I’d like to know of it. There are car people for sure here. One of the greatest Corvette collection was in Ohio. I’m sure there’s others. I’d like to find out about this one.
dude has probably 1/4 of a billion dollars in cars i'm pretty sure he don't care about an electric bill plus those lights probably stay off most of the time anyway just get turned on when he's there or showing the collection !!! plus neon ( new neon ) doesn't use that much electricity , but yeah more than my bill LOL
6:44 I’m really loving that Alfa. As an Alfa fan seeing one of them would be such a privilege to me. Intact every Alfa Romeo in this video I would love to see in person.
Those are some stunning car collections. And who does it better than none other Shmee150. Just love how he describes all the cars and their history. This is why I love watching Shmee150.
absolute gnarly collection Tim the sound of neon in that garage was crazy. I thought Jay Lenos garage was my favorite but that has probably topped it off incredible.
That first garage was a absolutely amazing/mind blowing and a unbelievable collection. When ya think Shmee couldn't top the last garage, he comes out with this. Now I look forward to him topping this one (if possible). Shmee thankyou
This is definitely one of my top videos from you buddy! Great speaking with descriptions and camera work too! I also literally saw like twelve vehicles that I have never seen before. Awesome content! Thanks man
Well Shmee I'm guessing that you have finally got all the inspiration you need now for your garage! That was unbelievable.. Those colours and lights.. When you have that installed in your garage just make sure you add in a pure white lighting system in the background so that you can switch it on and keep making those super clear videos for us! Great video as usual.. All the best 👍👍
Genuinely blown away how you managed to get permission to film here, even despite being Shmee. I was there a few months ago, and two security guards accompanied each tour group to make sure we didn't take any pictures let alone pull our smartphones out of our pockets!
@@jmoney7289 Actually it's the opposite, they fill them with fluids (pickling) to keep the internals from rusting and seals wet. They drain the fuel however.
I took the vault tour and asked the same question... All of them are kept in operating condition and are driven every month on rotation except for one or two, Pointing to a completely customized hotrod with gold plated components because of how fragile the finish was, Saying every time the car would go out it would damage it... They have their own in house mechanic shop at the petersen museum and I saw a few guys who work there with some cars in the blocked off section of the "vault"... Occasionally they'll auction off rides on Bring A Trailer for a few interesting cars like Steve Mcqueen's Jaguar that Schmee pointed out... It's also not so much a basement as it is the underground parking lot that is attached but gated off from the main multi level parking lot.
Great work again Tim! Another blinding impressive collection of truly amazing jaw-dropping cars! You've gotta love the US Collectors!?! When are buying a pad in the US Tim? Can I come visit? Perfect stopover on my way back to New Zealand from UK. Tim can I just say I think of all the auto UA-cam videos I have ever watched (thousands, your channel and others worldwide) THIS VIDEO IS THE BEST EVER!! Thank you for the effort you put into your channel Tim! I'm bloody loving it :-)
There are some real treasures hidden in places you’d never suspect. I have a feeling that last garage took a lot of time and searching to put together, but that’s the type of place you could hang out in all day long and feel pretty relaxed. Can’t wait to see how your new garage turns out when you get it Tim!
No matter what cars you are looking at your passion for the cars and what you do always shines in through you live a lot of men and boys dream keep up the good work
Wonderful collections! Thanks for the inside views! Two things though, one, show the boat from the second one, two, you were so excited in the last one you were making me dizzy! Haha!
Hi Shmee150! Epic paint on the GT. Do hope to see you back around Europe though, I always enjoy you and your friends going for a spirited drive through the countryside. Thank you very much 👍😎
How the hell did you get access to the 1st one? I mean it should be just impossible considering the cars we saw. I can not imagine the effort you put to achieve such things. Simply amazing!
You never cease to amaze me and I am sure I have said that before the Peterson collection... there are no words but I am sure I will have to designate a drool bucket and cloth to watch future vids of this type...OMG!!!!
Tim, I've been watching for well over 5 years and your content is getting better and better . Every now and then it gets to cringy but the last 18months have been so enjoyable. keep it going
Wow all of these garages are amazing! Not going to lie but the last garage reminds me of Cars the movie if they were in real life on Route 66 lol. Can you imagine if they could actually talk what they would say, so much history.......absolutely incredible. Shmee, you bring us to places that we all can appreciate and can't wait to see what's in store next and can only have our minds spin when it comes to how you plan on doing your own someday.
Tim, I know the channel tends to be more of European cars, but if you ever get a chance you should visit the RealTime Racing Hall car collection in Wisconsin. Would also love to see a tour of the "Secret" Honda collection in Torrence California. Keep up the great content!
That’s great stuff, Tim! I assume that was a Datsun 2000 Roadster. Very cool. Looked like there was a ‘69 Camaro, too. Like you said, GREAT presentation of the cars.
I´m usually not that excited about garages because they often times display the same cars but those have a much greater virarety. And I like neon lights and bars
@@Shmee150 your content is always top shelf Tim, here is to 2 million subs just around the corner with another few million more waiting in the wings! 8^D
Honestly my favorite one is Bruce Myers’s, it’s not too overwhelming, the cars are very nicely displayed, the most important cars are lifted to stand out, it’s nice theme with art but not too much...
I understand the cars in his collection are pieces of art and history, but to see them ONLY as artwork on display must be hard to deal with. I imagine most of them will never be driven on the road again. Their value is to high to risk being rear ended at a stop light or even a rock ship on a private road. Its a mixed bag of "what would I do with that collection" when it comes to driving vs. permanent display. So amazing to see and I would love to examine each car and everything there is to know about them! Cheeeeeers.
I can’t understand why 104 people dislike this video what is wrong with people today I just don’t understand it great collection of old cars with new with memorabilia what is there not to like about it another great video mate well done
Don't know many people living a live like this but not being arrogant at the same time! Always a pleasure to watch your videos, would love to visit garages like this! If you ever need a filmmaker for your channel, hmu I'll even do it for free.

Brandon but then the guy doesn’t have proper garage to park all of his cars just outside
3:50 not to get graphic.. but that was not Kennedys last car he rode in..
JFK´s car was black, I thought the same at first
I was about to say.
@@Goxilla Let's not forget the whole not having a roof, head getting blown off part lol
We all know and have seen the last car he rode in and it was not a Rolls Royce.
Although to be fair, he didn't say to which Kennedy he referred.
I've got a feeling that 2020 is gonna be the year of the Shman Cave
Truly amazing that you had permission to film down at the vault! Wish it was a whole video dedicated to the cars down there :/
It was a really special opportunity, I can't thank the museum enough for this opportunity

8:40 this guys electric bill is probably insane :P
Could you imagine! How epic is it though, a total dream mancave
neon is cheap

That was cool!
Theres something so special about the 599 GTO, catches my eye everytime

Love the Jaguar XJ220 and the EB110 together two best classic supercars of the 90s
Shmee that row was well over $100 million!! You named 3 cars that were worth $105 million alone!!! That’s craaaaazy
Thank you Tim! By far, your greatest car collection video.
The numerous neon signs and other interior items make the vibe of the last collection the funnest.
I believe Ralph Lauren also has a very nice car collection.

Bruce Meyer's collection does it for me. That's what I would aim for.
Wow, what a collection! Thanks for sharing it with us, Tim

They will all need to be driven from time to time to keep the seals from drying out, but probably in a controlled environment.
