One of the best bang for the buck bargains out there.

Why do people call all two-band eqs "Pultec Style"? I don't consider an eq to be similar to a Pultec unless it has separate boost and cut controls.

The Creme lives on my master bus alongside with the Tegeler Audio Manufaktur Vari Tube Compressor. Great gear for a reasonable price.

I watch these comparisons mostly to hear Olivia crush the vocals...and then my wallet gets mad at me.

I honestly liked it most on those individual tracks & stems. Very polished. Seems worth it! Didn’t sound most flattering though on the master bus (to me) in this example. But I generally don’t prefer how master bus compression triggers compression on other elements negatively.
Thank you Vintage King for the demonstration!

Sounds great, but did anyone else hear the cracking while switching? - The RC Version shouldn't be affected, because of the different knobs...

Seems odd that they would run the high frequency selector from 10-24K when a Pultec uses 3-16K - much more usable, IMO. That said, the low freq. ranges (20-200) on the Creme are more usable than the limited range (20-100) of a Pultec. Nothing's perfect, I guess...

I'm guessing Tegeler's intent is to sweeten air without introducing sibilant stuff. The cool thing is if you aren't paying attention to those numbers, it just sounds great either way.
