woods that can be used for this project-
ideally, the wood should be-
not to hard (so you can carve without too much effort)
and not too soft. (so the wood does not break, and can hold details carved into it)
a lot of different woods can be carved, I can't name them all but here is a few below.
Lime, ash, sycamore, holly, birch, willow, oak(can be hard), London plane, pine, etc

my dad turns 89 next month and I put your video in front of him , he hasn't ever seen youtube . He carves as well but after a small stroke he was forgetting how to get started on the cane he was prepping . He watched you intensely , said "oh he has a Mora you can't get those anymore".. then said at the end 'He knows what he is doing, the right way"
Wow I am truly touched by this. thanks for sharing you have just made my day 🙂

Hi Pete it’s indie and Kizzy
It it better to use fresh branches or is it okay to use the ones I find in my yard?
Fresh wood is easier to carve but Dry wood is okay to it just depends on your arm strength ect. You could try one from your yard and if your finding it a little to hard then try fresh. Hope this help happy carving.
how did the top of the stick start?
Hi great question, it's were the branch split into two new branches (a natural fork in the branch) I cut to length and striped the bark off with knife. Hope this helps answer your question.
The baddiest video ive ever seen. Cum.
