A few details I'd like to share: -Model ZX's appearance and gameplay is inspired by both the X series and Zero series, though draws more strongly from the Zero series. Biometal forms in general also have a slightly unique aesthetic compared to anything prior, and ZX is no exception. Effectively, it can be thought of as both an homage to previous versions of Zero as well as his successor, and the other models share a similar relationship with their inspirations. -Rising Fang is also a reference to Zero's Ryuenjin from X4. Zero gets a few variations of this move over time with different elements, though it's in the Zero series that he can finally perform non-elemental versions of this move. -Fission is also a reference to Zero's Hyouretsuzan from X4. It's a similar situation to Ryuenjin. -Model ZX has a reduced moveset compared to Zero himself, but boasts X's legendary attack power to compensate. Such is the benefit to being a combination between the two. In particular, as with Model X, the fully charged shot is a reference to X's charge shot while equipping the Second Armor from X2, though like Model X the colors are reversed and unlike Model X it doesn't get the double shot. -Model ZX's charge saber actually has less range than Zero's from the Zero series. Additionally, the triple slash can't be spammed quite as fast. Both of these issues are remedied by Model Ox when not in Overdrive, though with the tradeoff of the fully charged Buster shot being a single projectile instead of three. -In ZX Advent, from a lore standpoint you're not actually transforming into Model ZX, you're transforming into an inferior copy of Vent or Aile in their ZX form. This is the lore reason for the form having the depleting meter when using charge attacks even though the base Model A form doesn't have any such issue. The Model A form is the real thing, the Model ZX form isn't. The same goes for all the other transformations Model A can perform; they're all weaker copies and aren't as strong as the originals.

@@PhoenixYT9838 Oh right, a detail I forgot to mention: In ZXA, Aile (and therefore Grey) gets Fission and Vent (and therefore Ashe) gets Rising Fang. This is noteworthy because from a lore standpoint it's implied that Aile usually prefers ranged combat while Vent is a bigger fan of melee combat. As such, it might seem odd at first that Vent is the one with a long reaching projectile and Aile has a more melee/medium range attack. However, thinking about it from their perspectives, it makes a lot of sense if you consider that they're using these moves to cover their weak spots. Vent is likely more skilled with the Saber than with the Buster, and so practiced a way to use the Saber to hit enemies from further away. Aile on the other hand is likely quite the skilled markswoman with the Buster, and so practiced a move to enhance her capabilities at a closer range. Effectively, each one of the two has the move that makes them individually a more rounded out fighter, reducing the chances of them falling to an "Achilles heel" situation. Assuming the Ox form in the first game is canon and that the same goes for the artwork for it, they might have had something similar going on not long after the events of the first game, though it's also possible that their swapped preferences were a result of Model O altering their personalities while in the Ox form. Though such a psychological effect is strictly speculation, it would explain why Model O doesn't return in ZXA. It could be that after realizing that Model O was messing with their heads, they destroyed it or hid it away somewhere to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. Perhaps if a third game ever releases some day we might get a more definite answer to that.
That's basically the best way to describe it, its nothing we haven't seen before but it'll always be a good, if not the best option in so many scenarios due to its versatility. Its also actually fun to use the Buster too, that charge shot is just insane.
This is actually my favorite game in the series. Im a big megaman fan, and maybe its just because i was a kid when this came out, but ZX takes everything i loved about the Zero games and enhanced it. Obviously you'll do other content, but this series alone earned my sub

It can only see moves we saw Zero use in the Zero series (saber, buster, charge, dash, saber tech) but it has NONE of X's UNIQUE abilities (air-dash, energy shield after taking damage, chargeable boss weapons) so it is basically the same as just having Model Z
In-universe, in the first game, model ZX is in reality using Model X as a base to "channel" Model Z, as well as the other biometals, precisely because of X's original ability to "adapt", so basically a souped version of copying a Boss's weapon. And just like how in Mega Man X you cannot fire the X-Buster while using a boss weapon, in ZX you can't use Model X's abilities while channeling another biometal. So the model ZX you use in the game is in reality just Model Z overlapped over Model X. Now, in ZX Advent the situation is different, because Model A takes the role of Model X as a catalyst but using a different method, and when you obtain Model ZX in ZXA, you're in reality copying the "final result" of Model Z overlapping over Model X, but you don't get Model Z and Model X separately. In other words, it's Model Z overlapping over Model X overlapping over Model A.
I thought the in universe reason for it was because every biometal had a biomatch that was locked to them. Model X’s unique ability is to act as a skeleton key for Vent or Aile to access other biometals without being a biomatch to any other model.
You clearly did not play the game or seem it's story. It _is_ supposed to be all about Zero and not much about X The X part is that Aile/Vent can use bosses' biometals, much like X could use bosses' weapons
3:03 the wave Rising Fang sends also looks like the one used by Agile, one of the X-Hunters from Megaman X2, which he would either use at ground level or at the upper wall it would depend on X's position on the stage
I don't know why they made Rolling Slash so nuts in ZX/Advent. It was already useful without being too strong in Z3/4 against bosses, and Z1 requires more skill but also is fun to use assuming you aren't abusing shield cancelling.
Model ZX is without a discussion one of the best Models for Combat (If not the best) [Iam dosent count OX and X cuz they are post game] i really like how you explain it i really like the ZX combo sistem [even tho i am not that good doing them] and its really fun use the model ZX for that nice Video Mate ill see you again later

@PhoenixYT9838 ZX has the most consistent combos. You don't need to worry about BE at all. Unlike the other models which really need it. I mean Px is pretty against bosses without BE, same with Fx and honestly Lx to a degree. Charge shot charge slash spam is used by noobs for a reason after all. In advent Zx is 100% the best model in the game in terms of combat
Nice video, I think it would be really useful if you could also show dmg and combo priority values for the different attacks while you showcase them (and maybe even the active hitbox frames, but that maybe difficult to find/test)
I don't have any problems with model ZX, i just wish it didn't lock model X away, and that model X weren't so basic, like come on, there are so many armors X was know for using in battle, give the Model some kind of upgrade system inspired in them.
Model ZX in zxa is absolutely broken. I remember theres this boss in some ancient ruins stage that can split into 2. The retarded thing about it is that unlike the split mushroom and infinity mijinion from X4 and X6 which only has one body with hitboxes, this boss in zxa has hit boxes on both. So when you fight him with rolling slash, you can hit him both ways multiple times with reversals. The worst of it all is when both of the boss's body overlaps, rolling slash shreds him down in 2 seconds😂
