I know Team Style doesn't sound like anything special, but is it SO STRONG in Battle Network 2. You know what it's like having eight Toadman chips in your folder in that game? Eight time-stopping, homing, stunning attacks that deal 100 damage minimum, and all with the same code. You're basically a steamroller. Especially if you throw in an IceStage or IceLine chip, since they're Elec element. Don't sleep on Team Style.
Yup and even the wood version of bug style can counter the negative HP drain that sometimes happens in battles when you use the grass stage / undershot combo with wood.
Sorta curious about why is it called Grave. Maybe because it's French for "low" and if we're gonna link it to musical terms, it'd be based on "Low Note" or "Note Grave" in French, but aside from that, Idk.

I've been learning about Style Change system for this past few weeks and your video convince me even more that the Style Change is not only exclusive to MegaMan.EXE. This means that any Net Navi can also learn to do Style Change even if we never saw it in-game. It's a pretty cool detail because even Lan's dad said in Mega Man Network Transmission that he believes fighting styles must be changed to fit the situation or else society will be unable to defeat new viruses. Lore-wise it's completely makes sense as to balance the world of Net Navi. God, I love Battle Network worldbuilding!
7:30 I don't know why, but seeing normal element MegaMan as the different styles is fascinating. I still wish I could see Gregar crosses as Falzar beast out & vice versa!
BN2 HeatCustom all the way. BN3 I played White version so I had ground style then later changed to Elec Custom. Icestage and FlashMan Chips with Bolt were too good.
Guts style was really good once you learned that spamming machine gun was regressive to your performance. Instead, use the machine gun as a defensive option; flinching your opponent to prevent damage to yourself. Otherwise you want to be tapping your buster to a rhythm so you can maximize your 10 damage shots. If your opponent was at low health you could also use the machine gun as an very reliable finisher.
I'm currently playing through 2 and got Heatcust and Eleccust and was kinda like, "huh, I wonder what other styles there are that I'm missing." Not gonna stop using 4 or 5 battle chips a turn though. Honestly it's interesting how there's kind of a cascade effect. Once you unlock cust style for instance, the extra battle chips allow you and incentivize you to continue using multiple chips every turn which means there's a good chance your next style is also going to be cust.
I traded SetLava over from white. Fire custom style in Mayl's PC to instantly win most fights. That's my strat for grinding chips to dump into the post-game trader for exclusives.
Style change has the nostalgia value but otherwise i deffo preferred the form systems from 4,5 and 6 (i know 6 is slightly different). Being able to switch when you want in battle is just better imo
A couple of errors I noticed in the video. 1. Custom style S-rank rewards in BN3 prohibit the use of Navi chips, not screen-dimming chips. This means that using AreaGrab *, GrassStg *, and Meteors R is legal for getting exclusive chip drops. 2. FlotShoe does not protect you from Swamp (poison) panels, there is no defense against those panels other than removing them through effects of battle.
So i mostly played BN3 and my best style was ElecGround with Ice Stage as my reg chip and HubBach in my NaviCus. Also had a guaranteed elec combo. Ice Stage + Prism+ Bolt (any additional damage boost chip). Elec chips do 2x damage on ice. Prism reflects 2x damage of any non break chips. So at most this combo hits 840~1680 dmg. Also while technically it's not a style change i think you should've mentioned master style. A P.A. activated by using each styles signature chips. It literally lets rock beat down the enemy with every style before finishing with a big explosion and was in every BN game after its debut in 3. Although in 6 they changed what chips you needed for the P.A.
Absolutely. It's on my list to do. I just need to find how to brake them down as I don't want all my videos to end up being 20+ mins.i have a few in the works right now that should be short, more BN stuff, but then I have Starforce lined up.
