    Absolutely love this video. It’s such a pleasure watching someone do what we logged on to UA-cam to see and not have to listen to a 10 minute discussion on everything else but how to crochet a certain pattern. Keep on doing your videos this way and you will be rolling in the subscriber.

    I just started this blanket and I love it so far! I am only on my fourth row but I grabbed 7 weight instead of 6. Its not terrible but its pretty thick haha. I should have read the description. I also just used "extra Bernat blanket" oooops. But the video is so easy to understand and I have only just kind of "mastered" the single crochet. I can't wait to watch the rest of your videos! Hopefully this thick blanket will give me enough practice to get the right weight and try again for my new niece! Thank you!

    I love this pattern! 👏 You are an excellent teacher and have such a nice soothing voice to learn from! I just made two of these baby blankets for twins that I know who are both having girls. I used baby white, baby pink, and baby lilac for the first one. For the second one, I used baby white, baby pink, and baby mountain mist. They both turned out beautiful!! 💖 I laughed when I read some of these comments, because it also took me way longer than four hours as well. 😁
    I would say the first one took me about 12 hours, 🤣 start to finish, and the second one took maybe 8 hours, start to finish, because I was more familiar with doing it. Once the first three rows are done, the rest is easy going and enjoyable to do while just watching tv. I am a tight knitter/crocheter, so I used a clover crochet hook size 12 (love clover). Even though I made a gauge that was 4” square, both of my blankets did come out a little smaller than the stated 34 inches wide and 37 inches long. After gently stretching out my blankets a bit, the measurements of my blankets were approximately 30” wide and 36” long including the border. So it is not a huge difference and I think the size is still very nice. I may go up to a size 14 hook one the next blanket I do, or I might just stay with the 12 because I am still satisfied with size.
    The next one of these blankets I want to make will be for a boy. I was able to get the baby white and baby sand, but I cannot find baby overcast anywhere, so I bought baby blue instead, it looks similar to the baby overcast, so it should turn out fine. 😊
    Thank you again for this video!! 👏

      If you worked in the back loop, there will be a free loop in the front.

    Great video thank you. This Q may be too late- I have chunky wool - not as chunky as the one you are using. Would this pattern work if I follow the guidelines ( shown on sleeve with the wool) as to the size of the needle please ?

      @crochetdreamz  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, absolutely but you might have to chain more to get the same width.

    To do the blanket, can we use 6mm hook and total need how many ball?

      I am sorry, I haven't tested it with a thinner yarn. Make a small rectangle and use it to calculate the yardage.

    I want to start it today! For twins that are any day due. How many balls of yarn? For about 90x90 cm? And since we don’t have this yarn in Cyprus, I will buy similar. Could I have the details of the yarn please (ie weight and length). Thank you so much.

      I used a size 6 super bulky chenille yarn. Each skein is 220 yards/201m long and you will need just 1 skein of each color to make 1 blanket 90cmX90cm.

    I have a lot of 5 weight yarn. How would I adapt this to use with my yarn? What size hook would I use

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  3 роки тому +1

      Try the hook recommended on the yarn label and chain more at the beginning.

    I love the pattern, found it after I already purchased (on sale) two skeins of Bernat Baby Blanket in variegated color pattern. Will that be enough, do you think for a baby blanket?

    I want to make a "grown up" version of this, how much yarn would I need? 2 of each color maybe?

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, I think 2 of each would be sufficient.

    I love this video and pattern. Seems super simple. I’m confused. After you chain all stitches, you skip and go into third stitch. At the end how do you still come out with eleven? I chained 90 I come up with 86!!?? I’ve ripped this out several times, I can’t figure it out.

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  2 роки тому

      The 2 skipped chains in the beginning counts as a half double crochet. So, If you chained 90, you should get 89 stitches.
