    I can't thank you enough for this video! I'm new to crochet - started at 67 (it's never too late to learn something new)! I made two blankets using #4 yarn and they took f-o-r-e-v-e-r. I said no more of those please and then found #6 baby yarn and this 3-hour blanket. Thanks to your instruction I've now made close to two dozen of these! I can't get it down to 3 hours, but I can do them in 4 and it is so satisfying. You've made a real difference in my work and these blankets wind up going to hospitals for children. Thank you so very much.

    One of the most difficult things for me as someone who is trying to learn to crochet, is not learning the stitches, but understanding where I am supposed to insert the hook. You do an excellent job of showing this and explaining what you are doing. You also have a good camera angle and focus on the work, so this is easy for me as a beginner to follow what you are doing. You are an excellent teacher. I hope you will be making many more videos. Subscribed! 👍

    the best part of this video is just explaining simply how to insert hook at the top middle of the triangle without a lot of fancy talk or eliminating that explanation which is so important. Thank you! These are the types of videos I look for. simple, precise explaining. Going to try this. The only thing I will change is Ill do 2 rows of each color so the color change will meet up at the end and I won't have to keep cutting off to change colors bc weaving in those ends takes a long time.

    My Nana recently re-taught me how to crochet (she taught me about 15-20 years ago) and I've been trying to make a very small blanket for my niece who is due in February. This tiny blanket is taking me forever, and I've been very discouraged so I havent picked it back up in a couple weeks.
    For my families Secret Santa this year, I selected my Nana and I really want to make her a blanket. I think that would mean way more to her than buying something. This was the first link I clicked after searching "fastest crochet blanket" and I believe I dont have to search any longer. This is what I'll be making for my Nana. :)
    Thank you so much!!!!

Thank you so much for this video- it helped me actually accomplish what I set out to do and my son got an amazing blanket! My addition to the end was to add a tassel at the edge!

  • @angelagreen7170

    I am trying to do this but it keeps on gaping or making a frills. What I do to rectify this situation. I’m using the Bernat blanket

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  2 роки тому

      If it is rippling, either you are adding extra stitches which seem unlikely in this pattern or you are crocheting too loose. Try going down a hook size. Make a small piece first.

    Do you think I would be able to use two strands of three ply Mandela yarn together to crochet this blanket? I have lots of Mandela three ply yarn that I would love to use so I was just wondering if two strands of it held together would work? Thank you! I love this pattern and wanted to make a few blankets for Christmas presents

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  5 років тому +2

      Yes, absolutely. The blanket might turn out a little smaller. So you might have to check your gauge before you begin.

    I have a question! How do you keep the back of the double crochets from looking lumpy? I've noticed that when I make the double crochet, there's loose yarn, but I've kept the tension the same.

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  2 роки тому

      Mmm, I think you might have to go down a hook size and see if that fixes the issue.

    Thank you for this video. Is that kind of yarn expensive? How much yarn did you need for this and how much did it cost to make the whole project? Thank you.

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  5 років тому +1

      It took me 1 skein in each color. One skein is $10.99 but most stores have 40-50% off coupons.
