@@mattswanson3568 Mutant children in Kislev can be given to hags (or found by hags) rather than just executed or abandoned like they often are in the Empire. The Hags will raise them knowing that, while they are inherently corrupt thanks to their mutation, they can still be used as a weapon against Chaos. They'll send them into battle against the forces of Chaos. It's not particularly pleasant, since they're basically sending them to die, but its arguably better than how the Empire treats them. Much of Kislev obviously still kills them at birth, but some areas will give them to the hags or abandon them in the woods instead. And that hags, who live in the woods, will find and raise them.
@@mattswanson3568 Yeah. There was a lorebeards episode recently about the hags of kislev that I got it from. Highly recommend if you've got the time to watch it.
considering the fact that she's clearly using some rather Chaotic units (the Things in the Woods are straight up a chaos unit that fit more into Beastmen than Kislev, though I suppose I can forgive it in Ostankya's specific case) that team-up with the Beastmen near the start felt very fitting. I get the sense that she's got a general idea of using Chaos to beat Chaos and using Beastmen against Morathi certainly fits that.
Selling settlements is one of my favorite mechanics, but also seriously busted at the moment. Not only does the AI usually pay way too much for them, it also counts as a gift for diplomatic relations. Like, what.
so don't abuse it I use the mechanic to make friends with lizardmen but don't milk them for every penny. trading a whole region for a non-aggression pact makes sense plus Mazdamundi makes no sense going north cold is red for him and he has displayed no interest in the region for thousands of years@@4679-e6e

Good point at the end of the video, Zerk: might be fun to review all the quest battles currently in game. Could even base the rankings on skill required to beat them, uniqueness of the fight, when you get access to them (whether you can feasibly take that fight as soon as it unlocks or if you have to wait and get a stronger army) & what kind of an army/tactics you can use to win.
Needed campaign effect or mod is to change the settlement to match the faction that occupies it. Weird being a kislev faction in a dark elf city. Playing Grom as orcs and goblins taking elven cities with rainbows and shiny white and gold towers is kinda irritating. No one thinks a dwarf would chill out in a mushroom tent made by goblins...

Great video Zerk! I'm a big fan of stealthy or vanguard or any strange or mobile kind of armies so videos like this are much appreciated! *Edit* My most recent favourite was a Choas Dwarf army consisting of mostly Fireglaives with armament buffs to give them vanguard deployment, magic attacks and suppressive fire *chef's kiss* highly recommend!
I still find it odd how the things in the woods (which origanilly appeared in the tabletop Mordheim) ended up part of a kislevite faction, when its fluff hinted towards are chaotic origin
I think yes and no with quest battle difficulty. They feel as difficult as the old ones but the power creep of our own units is so strong that it makes them easy.
Awesome video. Next time occupy those two settlements and once youre out of the region, sell it to the lizardmen. They will like you way more and you make money instead of losing 8k
Why not gift the settlements to the lizardmen? Settlements seem to have a bonkers diplomacy weight. Factions you have flat diplomacy with will often sign non-aggression, trade, and military access for just a basic tier one settlement you just conquered after looting it, sometime even a defensive alliance. I was able to vassalize both Nkari and Skarbrand as Kairos in my Tzeentch Realm of Chaos campaign by giving them just tier 3 minor settlements in the center of the Chaos Wastes I didn't own the capital city of anyway (I was ahead of them in the Realm of Souls rush so it didn't matter that they technically we're my main rivals). I did the same thing with Greasus using the settlements I stole from him using changing of the ways to keep him friendly long enough while I conquered the other ogres and wiped out his Cathay trade friends before coming for him.
So I can understand that CA wish to make other regions more diverse and interesting like the Old World which is leagues and bounds better than any other region, but putting Stinkya and Bo in these positions is weird lorewise. Would be better to move minor factions out there or something.
Honestly, i feel like ambushers COMPLETLY screwd streltsi. Like, what the hell is even the point of those now? They are worse in like...everything except armor. So that's nice to see, good old CA.
I've played the changeling campaign already, waiting for the free DLC expansion to play yuan BO and Ostanskya, because they don't seems that good or fun to play yet
Nah, there's far more silly things. You could have her start on the western coast of Naggarond, as one of the Spires there had previously been inhabited by a rogue Ice Witch. I don't remember which one, however.

I'm pretty sure it was an opossum
Hags canonically do make use of beastmen in the fight against chaos, so that first battle was pretty much lore accurate if you think about it.
How do they do that? Like lore wise
