Nice video. You have a good voice for these kinds of projects. Sweet looking bike. I just ordered my Lectron for my 2016 Husqvarna TE300. I ride in massive variable conditions, hoping this product will allow me to just kick it and ride.
interested to know if you still like it? did you go with the HV mod? my new to me TX300 came with the legacy lectron and 2-3xl rod in a box...he couldn't get it to run well and just put the mikuni back on with the JD kit, and it runs pretty good. I want to try the Lectron and Jeff recommended the 5-1 rod and sending it in for the HV mod. I just ordered the 5-1 from Lectron so I'm going to try that on the Legacy carb before sending it off to Lectron.
I found the 4-2 rod worked best for my bike. The Lectron worked amazing. I don't have that bike anymore though. I have a 18 250 XCW TPI....no more jetting.
I have had trouble with mine leaking and my float sticking constantly . My buddy and i both ordered them and both had trouble with them leaking. So we sent them back for testing. Lectron said they were fine but after 2 more rides they were still leaking. They ended up sending my buddy a new one because he complained since his was leaking more then mine. He now has 0 probablems with his new one which makes me believe we both got defective ones.
I just bought a 17 Ktm150xcw and well I’m already having issues with carb... is that normal... I mean I have 3 hours on the bike 😭 I’ve been told to get this carb
I turned mine 1/2 turn richer and it runs great per Rob at Lectron's recommendation. Double check with Slaven to see if they've already made that adjustment with your shipment. If not 1/2 turn in should do it.
Would you mind letting me know what the shock clearance is like? I am on the fence about making this purchase as I have seen a picture of the clearance and there was not very much. It looked like the boot would probably touch the shock and wear through. Could you take a look please? Cheers
Having a hard time getting the carb in my 2017 xc-w. How did you get the rear frame loose enough to fit the carb? Frame doesn't move much once screws are out
I've talked to people that have dailed them in well totally stock and with JD jetting, also many other that continue to have trouble. I was thinking about a Lectron before I even had problems just cause I wanted easier/minimal tune ability carb.
well ill let u know , i ordered the new mule hv yesterday morning, suppose to be way better with lots of low end torque. jeff slavens said its a "grunt monster" lol so im excited to try it out on my bike, i should have it by friday at the latest.

I love the lectron carb on my 17 XCW. I also traded my buddy for an XC head. Love it. After about 18 hours I've dialed in the bike pretty damn good.
Ordered. Waiting on Slavens. Did you route on left or right frame rail?
so how many turns richer all together from the stock setting are you as of now? a full turn or 1.5?
Did you have to do any trimming on the intake boots to make the carb fit?

Was the bigger width of the Lectron a problem? Is a modification of the rubber boot or the rubber between carb and reed valve necessary?
a bit of a pain to install but the rubber is somewhat flexible so it still fits without cutting.
Thank you mate, that will probably influence my decision in a positive way ;)
Nice vid. thanks for the update. I just order one from Slavens for my 2017 xc. So, a total of 1.5 turns in/richer ?

+noahr great. thank you!

Took a look, don't see how it could possibly be a problem. If it's any closer it didn't look any different then stock.
Really dig that short clutch lever, where did you get it?
It's a Midwest Mountain Engineering lever. Much less pull needed.
noahr are you still happy with your throttle cable routing? Thanks.
Yeah, totally fine.
I did go a quarter turn richer after I shot this video. Even better!

Did you take your pipe off? I needed to do that for it to work.
+noahr I got it finally... No didn't take the pipe off
theres the two bolts on the bottom u totaly take off, and then just loosen the top 2 bolts that the subframe pivots on , and it will move much easier.
i knew id see a video of this once i heard they was going to the POS tmx mikuni .kehein is the way to go that one looks neat
Heard the new 38MM HV come with a 4-2 metering rod? I don't know. I just got a new 17 300 XC-W.
It does, I have one in now too
What 2t oil are you using in your KTM?
what mileage you get and in what kind of riding?
toulioss
No idea, but it's better. Don't really keep track of that on the 2 stroke
After all testing ,can the stock carb be dialed in to work well? also what power curve & positives & negatives with the Lectron carb installed?

is that the new mule hv or the one before that?
BOMBER _FIVE
Regular Lectron. HV just came out. I wonder what it will add cause this runs great! Lectron will mod mine to be HV
