    I bought an Lectron H-Series for my 1991 Honda cr125r a few months ago. And I definitely think it's an awesome carburetor. It has certainly been the best upgrade purchase I've made over the years. I have never had such smooth throttle response until now. I didn't need to do anything with the Lectron carburetor I bought, except to install it. Great video!

    I would love to get one of these carbs but my stock carb is running so good with no issues, I’m on a 2018 te300 at sea level and ride summer and winter to about 10,000 feet so it’s just hard to fork out the money for one but if I do I will make sure I get one from you, thanks for the video

    Bought the lectrpn H series for my 2021 yz 250x. Combined with v force reeds and a gnarly pipe and turbinecore 2 silencer, the bikenis just amazing. No jetting issues, runs great in all weather temps, all elevations power is super smooth and more usable, and it lugs like a 4 stroke down low. Oh and it totally rips on my friends nasty 97 ktm 360sx, and that bike is insane. Best investment ever. Even had a friend telling me its a bad idea dont do it, he rode bike once now he wants one lol

    Hey Jeff. So I bought a used ktm 300 but sadly the original owner got dirt throughout the engine and I need a complete rebuild. Before I needed the new engine I got a carb clean cause the carb had dirt in it. I was having a lot of problems with bogging and I was wondering if it was my carb but the shop thinks it’s a air leak and the need of a new engine. Should I invest in switching my stock carb for a lectron carb?

    • @slaverace1

      First things first. Rebuild the engine before opening another can of worms.

    Can you run a pod filter on the lectern and it will just auto adjust the jetting to give it more gas?

    • @slaverace1

      A pod will require a richer metering rod.

      Jeff Slavens is there any way to manually drain the fuel bowl on these things? I don’t like to leave fuel sitting in it when I store it for weeks to months!

      Shut off the fuel and let it idle until it quits. The remnants will evaporate out the vents.

    Poor idling on a YZ125X with recommended Lectron carb. The float bowl is possibly leaking as dust sticks to the bowl easily. Any idea's to solve poor idle/staling all the time.

    Hey I have a a 2001 Rm250 with a 265 kit and I blew the top end because of it being too lean & couldn’t seem to find the stock setting with the idle screw and the power jet screw turns outward on the lectron carb . Any idea of the stock setting please .

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  3 роки тому

    I bought one for my 2003 ktm 450. Gas mileage went down to 22 mpg from 40. Fresh engine, clean air filter, no air leaks. What should the metering rod length be from the factory? Pete

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  2 роки тому

      Pete:
      If your fuel consumption got worse, the metering rod is set too rich. Start with half turn increments counter-clockwise and you will also gain performance. If you need assistance, call our store @ 719-475-2624.

    Jeff my bike is doing this just not as bad. I bought a lectron carb and its still kinda doing this. Do you know what might be causing this?? Thought it was a lean condition. So i mixed my gas from 40:1 instead of 50:1 and used half race gas. I know moving the ratio that direction is ultimately making it more lean correct but i thought more oil then gas would cool the cylinder temps down?

    • @rayy1988ra
      @rayy1988ra 7 років тому

      make shure ur intake and air boots are tight that can affect a idle.

    • @rayy1988ra
      @rayy1988ra 7 років тому

      and yes if u add more oil to your mix ur leaning ur bike out, more oil means less gas which means lean cause ur bike runs on air/fuel not air/oil, less oil ur riching ur bike which will lower ur cylinder temps yes, rich bikes run colder.

    • @rayy1988ra
      @rayy1988ra 7 років тому

      rich bikes run colder which is why u will see spooge "oil" coming from ur exhaust cause ur motor is running cold and not burning off all the oil.

    I would like to install Lectrons on my RD350. It has been a bitch to jet with my setup. But I'm not buying any Lectrons until they include the damn adjustment tool free with every carb. If I spend $900 on carburetors it isn't breaking Lectron to give me the $2 tool I need to properly adjust them. This "You can use pliers but it isn't recommended" garbage would stop if everyone got the tool.
    It would also be nice if they included 3 different metering rods with + and - with the selected rod. This doesn't compare with jets for OEM type carbs because jets cost less than $10 each and I can buy brass everywhere. This way if I install the carbs I will have what I need on hand and I won't have to spend another $50+ and wait for the mail. ...Unless they can guarantee that their recommendation on rods for my bike will run right out of the box with what I have installed. Now that would sell me. With the damn tool...

    this thing doesnt have a drain plug? i let mine sit for 3 months now it wont start, i go to drain the gas and theres no way to do it. no drain plug and no way to remove the fuel lines without cutting them. you literally have to take the seat, tank, and carburator off just to drain it. big miss for me.

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  3 роки тому +2

      Jimster: The fuel just pulls off, no cutting needed. No need to pull the carb to drain it. Before parking it you can just let it idle until there is no fuel. FYI, there is nothing to plug up in Lectrons but if stale gas is the issue you will need to get it out of the float bowl.
