Packrafting in the Ancient Forests of Jämtland

- In the beginning of June I headed out to explore a new wilderness area close to home. It's called Jougdadalen and is a Nature Reserve in northern Jämtland, Sweden. I brought the packraft with me to be able to travel on the water.
I had a great week and learned a lot about the area but the light wasn't really with me this time. I will get back for sure!

hi Magnus. at the end you said there are not many places in Sweden with natural forest...to be honest im shocked. i always thought that sweden has many many untouched areas with ancient forest mountains a lot of wildlife etc...now i see how wrong i was...unfortunatelly. i wonder what happened years ago and things look how they look right now...
Yes, although we have quite a few wild forests areas we don't have that many which also includes completely natural water system (i.e no hydro plants).

Det ser godt nok flot ud ! Jeg har lige købt min første packraft og ser meget frem til at udforske Sverige med den. Kunne du i fremtiden finde på at lave packraft/foto-ture ? Og kender du et sted i Syd Sverige som er egnet til packrafting ? Tak for en super video

Jag har faktiskt tänkt tanken att guida en fototur med packraft framöver men det är fortfarande på ritbordet. Det finns alltid möjlighet att boka en privat guidning för en eller ett fåtal personer. Möjligheterna är oändliga vad gäller platser och jag har gjort liknande turer på många ställen innan. Hör av dig till mig om det finns intresse!
Angående platser i södra Sverige skulle jag rekommendera Tresticklans Nationalpark i Dalsland. Där har du fina möjligheter att göra en premiärtur! Lycka till!
