    Great advice. Last year I got back to lifting weights after a 25 year break (which was a big mistake). Contrary to what people might think was the best way to get back into it, I went to the gym 5 or 6 times a week and did push, pull, legs. However, each session was below the effort level that would wear me out so I always had enough in the tank to go back the next day. Two days in between doing the same exercises over again was also a good recovery period.

    Love the app, I don't have to think about what workouts I need to do from day to day, I just pull out my phone and go to work. Trying to decide what to do next after finishing the beast program.

    Hello Magnus, I have a question: when you say "eat two grams of protein per kg of weight", do you mean two grams of meat? or really two grams of protein?
    I have been reading that meats have different protein contents, so 100g of beef would be about 35g of protein, fish would be a bit less - between 25g and 30g per 100g, etc.
    I thought it was two grams of beef per kg of weight, but now am a bit confused about this.
    Thank you for your excellent content!

    If I’m progressively overloading, how much time should be my rest period before going in for another rep?

    Another informative, legit video. Great job. Maybe a video about gains when one is a vegetarian / dietary ideas. Unfortunately because of my job (doctor) I can only work out 2-3 times a week. Protein / calorie intake in between workouts? Keep up the good work 🙏🏼

    Hi Magnus.What are your thoughts on Bulgarian Bags? I recently purchased one, and I am currently trying to grow mass. As I see on the Suples channel, the majority of the training are conditioning ad endurance. My question is, how do I incorporate that into my uper-lower-uper-lower rutine? thanks!

    Just starting watching your videos and subscribed! I am a 43 year old and consider myself pretty fit. On your "rest" days where you say you plant yourself on the couch, do you EAT less? Do you reduce carbs/fats BUT keep PROTEIN levels high? Curious with a day of inactivity how to eat...

    Do you recommend 5-6 days of workouts for people over 40?

  • @RudyvanHaandel

    Thanks. Everyone knows this, but still.. with this explanation it makes much better sense. One question though: you say 1 to 2 minutes rest.. But is that between each set? Or between each new exercise (with like 3 sets)?

    Magnus,what's your thoughts on full body workout 3 times a week?

    • @jonhettrick7969
      @jonhettrick7969 2 роки тому

      I would personally say don't train each body more than twice a week that's over training. Only way you could probably do more as if you're not a natural bodybuilder.

  • @fit-theology3332
    @fit-theology3332 2 роки тому +1

    I think you probably meant to say 10 to 20 sets per body part p/ week, not 10 to 20 reps.

  • @Biggelz06

    4:30 it's 10-20 SETS per body part per week not reps

    Quick question Magnus: You often mention our bodies can absorb 30 to 50g of protein per meal, and that we need 2g of protein per Kg (1g per pound). Doesn't these guidelines indicate intermittent fasting or other diet plans based on only two meals per day are inferior to gain or maintain muscle? (a person weight 70Kg would require ca. 140g of protein which requires at least 3 meals per day). Awesome video as always!

    • @shoegal
      @shoegal 2 роки тому +2

      A lot of bodybuilders here inc Magnus recommend 5-6 meals a day

    Can you please tell us how people women like me with a flat butt syndrome are working really hard to build our glutes to build muscle in our glutes and for eating quite decently I would say I'm eating pretty good can you tell us cuz I got lots of apps on lots of UA-cam videos on how to grow those glutes how to wake the glutes first and then grow them and build on them and how often to build on your glutes a week and for also the hips I have bad hips I mean I want to have that lovely smooth back where it goes right down into the derriere I want to have that nice decor and nice shapely glutes man I'm working on this and it's like my core does not want to get into shape fast enough I have had five kids I'm done with having kids and it is a brutal journey and exhausting journey to feel like I'm just focused hyper focused on getting fit and all my poetry and on my hobbies other hobbies are just not there as much because I spend so much time exercising while I guess an hour and a half isn't that much time however and with my kid I have two kids and what is your advice to really crush the core I'm active person and I know about the rule of 80/20 to get cuz I it bothers me to watch the women on the social media that are in a 20s and they have these glutes they've worked on it's easier when you're in the twenties but when you're in a 46 I didn't think it would be this hard to get my booty to be shapely as much as I'm working on it.. I'm working on a little transformation here and I really hope that by next spring I will definitely not have any more muffin top left and I want to have some freaking nice abs..
