Amazing video! But I am confused about the amount of the carbs. The number 450g carbs is the whole amount of the sources or the pure carbohydrates? For me, I am About 85kg, so how much carbs should I intake if I wanna buliking?
Question Mr. Magnus: I break my workout into 2 identical upper body workouts (Mon and Wed) and 2 identical lower body workouts (Tue and Thu). Every workout starts with 20 min on the rowing machine and core at the end. The 5th day (Fri) is all HIIT also with rowing machine. Nothing over the weekend. I know you favor a 5 day workout as well but you have a different breakout for each day. What do you think about repeating each exercise twice a week with some rest in between?
Not Mr Magnus, but my take would be, you probably don't need to do 20 min on the rowing machine before a workout. You're not supposed to burn out before your strength training. 5 min is enough jus to get the blood flowing. Most don''t do such warm ups at all though. Doing a upper/lower body split is fine and gives you plenty of rest while also hitting all muscle groupes at least twice a week, which is essential so it's fine to repeat exercises doing the week. That said you can always mix it up with a push/pull/legs split if you fancy something new. But no matter what always remember to PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD!

Just going to throw it out there, if you're eating a very balanced diet (plus using a calorie + nutrient tracker to see your daily progress) you likely won't need any vitamins. But, taking a multi vitamin at the start of your day with the meal wouldn't hurt either, just to be sure. I personally take costco mature multivitamin (doesn't really matter between adult vs. mature).

@@AUweaverzone He could be, but people really downplay the how hard it must be to take the step and start juicing. Alexander likely doesn't work out on the regular between roles, he doesn't have the bodybuilder urge/bigorexia, why would he be enticed to start injecting chemicals into his body? To people who workout on the regular, his physique is just good. Not fantastic. His proportions aren't that amazing cause he's tall. He's really just shredded, not that much muscle at all. Totally doable naturally for some 45 year olds (not all 45 yo) He definitely has good genetics for being shredded/low BF.
@@ryked333 you are absolutely clueless if you think he's obtained this physique naturally. Setting yourself up for disappointment if you think with hard work and dedication you'll get close to this in a couple of years "working out on the regular".

They put you in THE BEST OF BEST lighting scenarios. NOTHING you see on the screen is CLOSE to reality. You really sound like you've been brainwashed by instagram.
Just to be clear: Actors need to bulk up and then cut because that's the fastest way to put on muscle. Eating this much is absolutely unsustainable for most people. That said, the optimal and most sustainable way for us "normal" folks is maingaining.
Again, flamboyant approach by Magnus!!! Waist exercise that Skarsgasrd id doing is absolutely unnecessary and I doon’t think that anyone does it who is well educated like that. Love the movie, love this guy's training strategies... But it is about the aesthetics... As stated, it was a challenge maintaining this physique. I don't think Vikings had to regularly eat avocado and train to keep their physical shape. I realize this is just a movie and they wanted to show a berserker shape that commonly springs to mind within popular culture. And that time is also a constraint. I'm only having a mild grump because the director is praised for his historical accuracy in every movie. Makes me wonder what else is less than accurate.
@@Zielloss I totally get that. And it's only a mildly pointless thing I'm saying. But I honestly think rowing and heavy axe training for a year would result in a true near-Viking physical shape. The language is praised for being on point, historical accuracy on point. And then ... Gym bunny body. He looks great BTW. I know how petty I sound.
I really wondering how they got Eggers to not incist on historically accurate nutrion and workouts. Lamb and Fish are as Viking as you can go protein wise.
Hi guys, I would really appreciate some advice. I've been wondering, If I am carrying a fair amount of body fat but wanted to build muscle mass, would I need to start on a cutting cycle and lose the fat first?
Yes, you would need to cut first, don't focus on Cardio or running alot and under no circumstances DO NOT stop eating!! The starvation diet is ridiculous and Ineffective. Put on muscle while drinking more water and zero sugar quality beverages like Body armor and stay hydrated all day. Start lifting weights make sure you follow a basic lifting process and hit every muscle group. You'll be cutting and adding mass at the same time
@Alenas Kvasninas I actually agree with this tbh, very well said and put together thank you for the correction. I personally cut from 170 to 150 then out muscle on but it wasn't as hard for me as it would be for others, perhaps he's better suited taking you're recourse instead,

@@merpifiedyo423 setting myself up for dissapointment? i've worked out for 8 years, i already have quite a bit more muscle than him. You really are bafflingly naive to think that his physique is unachievable. HE LITERALLY JUST LOST SOME FAT. You are being completely manipulated by movie magic bro. He is in make up, spray-tan and they've probably outlined his abs with contour and what not. Do yourself a favour and check out what happens behind the scenes of big movies. They put you in THE BEST OF BEST lighting scenarios. NOTHING you see on the screen is CLOSE to reality. You really sound like you've been brainwashed by instagram.
"There's a difference between donuts and chicken" - Magnus
Really fortunate he got to eat so much. Every time I imagine Joaquin Phoenix's diet for Joker I'm like did he just eat egg whites and drink water?
I cannot find your app in the app store
Around 4:08 for the actual title of the video
Just to be clear: Actors need to bulk up and then cut because that's the fastest way to put on muscle. Eating this much is absolutely unsustainable for most people. That said, the optimal and most sustainable way for us "normal" folks is maingaining.
Dude..... They use other means.
Again, flamboyant approach by Magnus!!! Waist exercise that Skarsgasrd id doing is absolutely unnecessary and I doon’t think that anyone does it who is well educated like that.
You supposed to do isometrics for waist otherwise it gets bigger!
Second thing, identify yourself, are you trainer or nutritionist? If you are both, hats down to you Mr Magnus, I am taking all of this above back and if you respond claiming it I will even delete this post.
Since I know that you are not, pls stop deceiving ppl around the globe.
good to know what food he was drinking, But the real question is what Cycle was he on?
Well that’s a good way to generate insulin resistance (assuming he’s not in a caloric deficit).
To be fair, he did it in 1 year compared to a viking that would row, march, and train in their own way constantly.
Stort tack Magnus, gillar verkligen din kanal 💫
nutrition is by far the hardest part for me
Hey Magnus is your app for android? Im not seeing it on the playstore
What about his training for Tarzan?
Actually fats, carbs, protein and alcohol are all energy sources but only fats and protein are essential, you could say "building blocks".
Whats the name of your app?
Does anyone know if desiccated liver supplements or bovine gelatin is good for you? Heard about them recently but not sure.
I really wondering how they got Eggers to not incist on historically accurate nutrion and workouts.
Lamb and Fish are as Viking as you can go protein wise.
dumbells are in pounds or kgs?
You and Skarsgard make a legendary team. YOu're still the REAL boss, though ;)
Where can I find your nutrition plans
Yes, again...;a very good video
