Apart from a bit of comfort issues not only are the mmx 100 amazing gaming headphones, they’re also incredible for music. They have great sub bass without losing detail. The mids and highs are so crystal, but there’s no sibilance or crazy V-shaped tuning, there’s also no metallic twang to the timbre. They sound better than the mmx 300 gen 2, TYGR, dt 770 and the dt 990 imho
@@brentt8940 both great, TYGR are comfier and have sound more airy, mmx 100 have better bass and more present I’d say not quite as v shaped as the tygr, the mods seem a bit more present on the mmx 100 and the bass is way better. He's not telling the full truth with the H6Pro. The open back pads are really hard and not the same as the closed back model. They are quite uncomfortable compared to the closed back pads.
100 quid for MX100 sounds really decent! I still have my wired Audio Technicas for a similar price range and they've been 10/10 throughout the years (I naffed up my own cable, but it's replaceable so who cares)
Thank you so much for testing mic & I wish you compared the headphones sound level between pc & consoles because some headsets have disappointing low sound level with consoles but very good with pc! Like what happend with me with the Cooler Master MH650! I hope you consider reviewing & comparing Cooler Master MH630
So I ended up getting the H6Pro. I changed from a Turtle Beach Ear Force Recon, the difference in youtube videos and music wasn't as great as I thought, I truly believe something jaw dropping when I switched. HOWEVER, playing Halo Infinite, I can tell you the difference between them is outstanding, the bass from the explosions was amazing. Its coom worthy comfortable in comparison to my old headset, that's just my take on it. Footsteps didnt really enhance much
The difference is really minimal and hardly noticeable. Both headsets are absolutely fantastic and in my opinion it's not worth the extra charge because the difference is only minimally audible in a head-to-head comparison. Both Headsets are outstanding!
after watching this i got beyerdymic mmx 150 but when i got them they were SO tight but the sound quality is amazing if you have a somewhat large head than they might be extremly uncomfortable to wear so just be careful :)
As someone who can only keep suspension-style headbands (like corsair HS80 and steelseries arctis) on my head, feeling a bit of FOMO on all the other headphones in this video lol.
I know, I'm afraid to go away from headbands cause I don't want to get a new headset because the cushion on the head went out. Been using the same arctis 5 headset since I bought it in March of 2017 and they are still comfortable.
Love these videos. I have the Razer Kaira Pro for PS5 which has Hypersense and the Epos H6 Pro closed. I like the Kaira and enjoy the hypersense but I always find myself switching back to the Epos due to its comfort and incredible sound quality
Still got to have the Arctis Pro Wireless on the list. Sound Quality is amazing, Removable Battery for quick Replacement and has a Game DAC to help with Sound Control.
I personally feel the Arctis Pro Wireless is great in many ways. But lacks in its main purpose. The sound quality is great, music sounds good for a gaming headset. And that batterything... so clever. Curious why other brands dont apply this more. You never run out of juice. On the gaming part... it sucks in my opinion. I tend to play games where its crucial to hear others footsteps etc. It severely lacks there. I own several other headsets that do better(game one, cloud flight) and people I play with hear things earlier and more accurate (position wise) compared to me. It made me sell them
Highly recommend the h6pro. I got the closed backs. It might've been better to get the open back for sound quality but the noise cancellation is a must for me * The racing green colorway is super sexy
@@christianlee1423 just got my H6pro white open back to match my pc setup. super comfy and the sound quality is superb and its good to music too. its gonna replace my favorite headset which is pc38x. and the build quality feels like $300+ headset.
I was hyped for the mmx 150 and the only downside i heard was from the comfort the those headset but i didn't expect the cable to make so much noise it was too much for me and the augmented mode actually made my laptop fans so much louder it wasn't worth it.
so I've had a bunch of different headsets over the year, from cheap all the way to the top wiht the a50 and mmx300. now I've switched to the sennheiser ie300 (love and recommend them a lot) and an external mic. First of all you'll get muhc better audion from just a nice pair of headphones and they'll most likely also last you longer than a headset. Second is same with the microphone: it'll probably last longer and sounds just so much better than a headset mic. You can get good headphones for like 100-200€/$ like the sennheiser 6xx (rn its actually on sale). Ofcorse I recommend you do your own research always. There are also some pretty cheap but good mics out there, the mod-mic lineup is actually pretty good for the price, but ofcorse there are ofcorse also normal mics for less then 100€ that sound decent eneough for sure. Conclusino: even if you have 300€ for a headset, dont make the same mistake as I did and buy the A50 or mmx300. While the mmx300 sound really nice for a headset and the a50 also sounds nice for a wireless headset, if lets say the mic breaks a year or so later, you wont be able to replace it and you'll need to buy a new mic anyways. 300 or even 200€ for a nice pair of headphones and mic is plenty enough for probably most people.
The A50s broke for you in a year? The gen3s I had just broke after 4years so I got some Sennheiser 560S and will return it if I like the drop PC38X better.
@@xEkaitz I've actually had 2 A50's, the first one had a production flaw with the soft coating on the plastic and I actually got a replacement.. on that one the mic became very lose after like 2 month or so but I somewhat managed to fix that on my own, after a while the battery started to die very fast to the point where I basically had to leave it plugged in. So in that one year is actually had 2 A50's. Then I switeched to the mmx300's, which were much better at everything. And again: a year or so later the mic suddenly didnt work properly anymore, it was pretty much way too quiet for anyone on discord to hear me even on max loudness and +30dB in windows settings. I asked the support about it and the told me that I would need to buy a new one becuase the warrenty doesnt last that long which is pretty stupid if you ask me.
I own a corsair virtuoso rgb wireless headset and im really happy with it. I have it About 1 year now. Its Great headset, corsair is making really premium products. Theres only 1 thing i dont like, and that it has leather around the you know that thing that holds together the headset(i cant remember the name for it) now after a year it started to peal of.
and beware, i have them for 2 years now i think, and my left earcup came off, and when i tell u, im carefull with them, i mean it... when i end my day i always put it on the stand. Also the volume wheel its not responsive anymore even tho i barely use it. other than that yeah, great mic iCue is awesome, and i also have the same problem as u, the leather on the top of the headset is starting to peel, just like the earcups leather.
@@melonradish3683 And then you can throw the whole Headset into the garbage bin if either sound or mic is not working, smart. Besides that you still miss the point from my first comment. Plus you burn away extra money for buying a Headset that is marketed for gaming. Gaming Headsets show historically that the build quality and/or performance in relation to the price you pay as consumer is in a really bad ratio.
@@randomfrankp Comparing the MMX100 to DT990 + ModMic, the MMX100 would still loose or in other words it is a terrible comparison. Tho it's sad that people still advertise "Gaming" Headsets nowadays as there are way better alternatives in terms of performance with a lower price entry point, it just doesn't use the term "Gaming". If you want to spend even less, you could buy a Superlux 668b + ModMic, even that setup would beat the MMX100.

Huge recommendation of the MMX150, just started getting crackling in my headset, got the MMX150 instead and it's honestly a huge step-up. Thank you so much! :3

@@dt-lg2oc No. It's horrible. Unless you have the ears of a baby.
the sound test in the end made me chuckle
Apart from a bit of comfort issues not only are the mmx 100 amazing gaming headphones, they’re also incredible for music. They have great sub bass without losing detail. The mids and highs are so crystal, but there’s no sibilance or crazy V-shaped tuning, there’s also no metallic twang to the timbre.
They sound better than the mmx 300 gen 2, TYGR, dt 770 and the dt 990 imho
How would these compare to the tygr ?
@@brentt8940 both great, TYGR are comfier and have sound more airy, mmx 100 have better bass and more present I’d say not quite as v shaped as the tygr, the mods seem a bit more present on the mmx 100 and the bass is way better. Mmx 100 are much better value, detachable cable, microphone and cheaper.
@@millenwagon could it be worth to own both ? Tygr more for music is mmx100 for gaming ? Or they sound too similar ? Or possible 990 and mmx 100
@@brentt8940 avoid the 990, the treble is extreme! the tygr is much better all around, it’s actually a retuned 990. You could have both as one is open and one is closed. Both great honestly.

He's not telling the full truth with the H6Pro. The open back pads are really hard and not the same as the closed back model. They are quite uncomfortable compared to the closed back pads.
Razer’s mic never changed since 2008 😂👌🏼

100 quid for MX100 sounds really decent! I still have my wired Audio Technicas for a similar price range and they've been 10/10 throughout the years (I naffed up my own cable, but it's replaceable so who cares)
Great review !! wow I’m really surprised not to see the Highly rated JBL QUANTUM 800. They sound amazing
Thank you so much for testing mic & I wish you compared the headphones sound level between pc & consoles because some headsets have disappointing low sound level with consoles but very good with pc! Like what happend with me with the Cooler Master MH650!
I hope you consider reviewing & comparing Cooler Master
MH630
Which ones of these also have amazing bass?
I was looking at the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 (2nd Generation) . But the MMX 150 looks like it will do the same job while saving me a few quid.
How come it’s the same?
Man the glasses test is EPCI! I actually need some good headphones to be good at that, without putting pressure into glasses stands.
Footsteps didnt really enhance much
What about music is it good
Did you get open or closed, I have the h6pro open back and love it. Mic is awesome, sound and footsteps direction is awesome

@@mrfandira yea what is different
That Intro was top notch
Can anyone let me know how the MMX150 compares to the MMX300? Is it worth getting the 150s over the 300
I wouldnt go for the MMX300. Too expensive for what it is, at that point your better off with stereo headphones + modmic
The difference is really minimal and hardly noticeable. Both headsets are absolutely fantastic and in my opinion it's not worth the extra charge because the difference is only minimally audible in a head-to-head comparison. Both Headsets are outstanding!
That slow rise of the table...chef kiss...
Excellent! The Razer Kraken looks like the one Ill be getting.
Did you buy it? Looking into getting the v3 Hypersense
after watching this i got beyerdymic mmx 150 but when i got them they were SO tight but the sound quality is amazing if you have a somewhat large head than they might be extremly uncomfortable to wear so just be careful :)

The Sennheiser HD560S smokes the HD58x.

Great video man.

Aren’t they like 300€
I personally feel the Arctis Pro Wireless is great in many ways.
It made me sell them
@@karnyvekz they need an update it's time like steelseries has to make some improvements and up their mic game

I was hyped for the mmx 150 and the only downside i heard was from the comfort the those headset but i didn't expect the cable to make so much noise it was too much for me and the augmented mode actually made my laptop fans so much louder it wasn't worth it.
Thank you for this comprehensive review and the glasses test, you earned a sub.
so I've had a bunch of different headsets over the year, from cheap all the way to the top wiht the a50 and mmx300. now I've switched to the sennheiser ie300 (love and recommend them a lot) and an external mic.
I love BadSeed Tech! Glad you featured him!! =)
Also the volume wheel its not responsive anymore even tho i barely use it. other than that yeah, great mic iCue is awesome, and i also have the same problem as u, the leather on the top of the headset is starting to peel, just like the earcups leather.
thats why im looking into the HS80, mic seems to be the same quality, and no leather
Fantastic Video! Thanks for helping me pick out a new headset!
I.e. Beyerdynamic DT990 + ModMic USB/Wireless is the way to go. Gaming Headsets = Overpriced for what you get, unfortunately.
Headsets are designed to have a mic just already on them nit everybody wants an external mic.
…or the Beyerdynamix MMX 100 which is why I made this video in the first place.
