@@MM98126 man if you are playing ps5 and wanting to go no more than $150 definitely check out the steel series 7P. I bought those a couple months ago and I have never been so happy with a headset for that good of a price. What’s your price range? And what device are you playing on?? The 7p have a steel series engine three you can download on pc and you can adjust your eq to what ever you desire. FOR THE MONEY. They kinda make astros look like a sham. This is obviously just my opinion personally. If astros were cheaper this would be another subject but they are not that much better than 7p and in my experience 7p are just as good Astro. 7p has two little hinges I’m starting to hear complaints out of but from what I’ve seen if they break ( mine show no signs of anything to worry about) looks like steel series is replacing the headset for them. Now if that will work for sure idk but honestly I’m not to worried about it the quality of my set really surprised me.

A word of advice for those who are looking at the PC38X: I own 9 different headphones, these are by far the tightest I own. The clamping force is so strong I can't wear them for more then a few minutes, even after making a complete playthrough of FF7 Remake and keeping them for weeks stretching on a speaker (it wont help a lot since they're 100% plastic, so there wont be a lot of morphing in their shape).
They're so strong that my face gets red from the reduced blood circulation and I get light headed after 15 minutes.
If you're sensitive to this, don't get them. I've checked on forums and this seems like a common issue.

I consider soundstage/imaging a huge part in gaming and since I have been a soundwhore since the xbox 360 days. My current(endgame) setup is schitt modius(dac), Schit magnius(amp) connected to a XLR to 3.5mm balanced cable(periat cables) to the Hifiman Arya. I love the amount of positional hearing that this setup provides. Although the HD800S are the soundstage king the Arya are a close second there's a reason I went with a planar magnetic headphone over a standard dynamic one. If anyone is interested on a review or thoughts on my setup comment letting me know.

so I've had a bunch of different headsets over the year, from cheap all the way to the top wiht the a50 and mmx300. now I've switched to the sennheiser ie300 (love and recommend them a lot) and an external mic. First of all you'll get muhc better audion from just a nice pair of headphones and they'll most likely also last you longer than a headset. Second is same with the microphone: it'll probably last longer and sounds just so much better than a headset mic. You can get good headphones for like 100-200€/$ like the sennheiser 6xx (rn its actually on sale). Ofcorse I recommend you do your own research always. There are also some pretty cheap but good mics out there, the mod-mic lineup is actually pretty good for the price, but ofcorse there are ofcorse also normal mics for less then 100€ that sound decent eneough for sure.
Conclusino: even if you have 300€ for a headset, dont make the same mistake as I did and buy the A50 or mmx300. While the mmx300 sound really nice for a headset and the a50 also sounds nice for a wireless headset, if lets say the mic breaks a year or so later, you wont be able to replace it and you'll need to buy a new mic anyways.
300 or even 200€ for a nice pair of headphones and mic is plenty enough for probably most people.

@@xEkaitz I've actually had 2 A50's, the first one had a production flaw with the soft coating on the plastic and I actually got a replacement.. on that one the mic became very lose after like 2 month or so but I somewhat managed to fix that on my own, after a while the battery started to die very fast to the point where I basically had to leave it plugged in. So in that one year is actually had 2 A50's. Then I switeched to the mmx300's, which were much better at everything. And again: a year or so later the mic suddenly didnt work properly anymore, it was pretty much way too quiet for anyone on discord to hear me even on max loudness and +30dB in windows settings. I asked the support about it and the told me that I would need to buy a new one becuase the warrenty doesnt last that long which is pretty stupid if you ask me.
