But often our team is like that. Not necessarily having possession but somehow have the ability to control the match nonetheless. When a team has the ball but have to commit 5 or 6 players to each ruck to protect it plus are getting pushed back behind the gain line each time they pass the ball, it is the opposition who is in control. Like with Wales in Semi Final 2 2019. They couldn't cross our gain line even with possession. Everytime we got into their 22 we came away with full points, then it didn't matter what they did because they could defend their try line.
Love your passion. Makes me feel normal screaming at the TV for 80 mins. I agree all round Etsabeth is probably our best lock, and SA’s top 10 locks would all have Mike Tyson worried
@@BlueBobbin I think Fiji played well. They were a bit frazzled at the start. The ref made some unfair decisions in my opinion. England are lucky that they won. Very bad sportsmanship on English side from some players. One tackle should definately have been a yellow card. Digraceful that Curry got away with it.
I think this Quarter Final round was the greatest ever in RWC history..all four matches were exciting right to the end..top quality rugby and no runaway thrashings
This week end is a defeat for the rugby in general, the teams that relied the most on destroying the opponent game won instead of the ones creating amazing rugby.
Proud of France team. Bad luck for us and five bad referee decision. However, congratulation to SA team. Good fighting spirit and players! I wish you a good final against New Zealand.....🧡🧡
Thrilling game and great analysis. Looking like the Webb Ellis Cup to stay in the southern hemisphere. That conversion charge down was incredible by Cheslin Kolbe! Agree that Dupont is such a brilliant player, the maestro.
An amazing weekend of Rugby. I wondered why Faf kicked as well, I thought they would have just held on and wound the clock down. Anyway, epic game. Looking like an AB SA final ;)
Don`t sleep on England. They are a bit under the radar and they have a revenge to take against the Springboks. Plus, they are the only undefeated team left in the tournament. Their style of rugby is more like italian footbal. Very pragmatic and focused on the result.
@@Wildkard I am on the same page. I didn't understand why he didn't play against Fiji. Maybe they rested him for the semifinal. Farrell is a liability for Engkand, in my opinion.

Oh my poor heart, another World Cup test match that should come with a health warning before you watch it, wow, just wow. Congrats to the Bokke, commiseration to the hosts, I actually need a week to recover after these quarter finals, epic.
Lol love your passion, as always Wildkard. I felt like we (🇿🇦) had no right to win that game, the French were so so good. Peato Mauvaka and Uini Atonio were excellent tonight. I was so thankful when they were taken off. France can be so proud of their team. From a bok perspective, Kolbe, Cheslin Kolbe was incredible. That man gave the team a lift every time he made those runs from deep. His commitment was insane, that charge-down against Ramos in retrospect won us the game. But a lot of other players stood up Eben, Jesse, Kwagga, Damian De Allende were crucial for us as well.
You got it : it won the game and was faulty : you can check, he started before Ramos moved. It's a pity that the result, as very often in this world cup, relies so much on decisions or non decisions of the ref (in this case it must be the refereeS, plus the person not showing the image live)
absolutely deserved it mate!. i feel bad for france and ireland too. and yes its sad, but the winners worked hard and earned thier results and it was awesome!
As a die-hard Springbok supporter, I maintain that the French had our number last night and we were pretty lucky. In fact, up until the last 20, I was pretty convinced that we were going home. I'm obviously very glad we didn't lose the match, but my goodness, the French side played some fantastic rugby and, should we have lost, I would've happily conceded to what I think was a better team on the night. Also, Dupont is in a different league and was incredibly instrumental in their gameplan.
I had to remind myself to breathe during this game. The French looked so strong in the first half, but our Bokke showed so much tenacity. So proud of our Bokke. But what a French team. Such a privilege to see a game like this and the AB vs Ireland in one weekend. All the QF games this weekend must be the best QF games ever see at a RWC. What a beautiful game. And loving your passion for the game!!! My head said there would be a Boks vs Ireland final, but my heart has been wanting a Boks vs AB final.
Great victory to my South Africa brothers from New Zealand. I really hope Duane and Steff are ok after having to go off for 9 minutes assesment, one after the other in the final 25 minutes. I hope they both recover 😂
Genuine question WK. Can we watch the final with you somewhere? Would legit love to watch it live with you and maybe with some of your community you've built here. I feel your passion mixed in with the rest of passionate subs would be a really cool atmosphere to experience.
Jesse Kriel was immense last night. Another performance thats going under the radar in this WC is Kwagga, bro is a guarenteed momentum swinger when he comes on, tough as nails as well
We were a group of eight French watching, from 15 to 60 years old, but everyone was terrorized when Kolbe had the ball. What a player. Good match, thank you Springboks.
Wildkard I have see this kind of no structured rugby playing from Rassie and Springboks in 2019 semifinals, but when finals came against England it was a completely a different Springboks. What I'm saying is that come finals day we will see a different Springboks. So this is not really the Springboks play. The real Springboks play is still coming. Thanks for a good show always. 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦💯💯
What fad did there was the correct thing to do. A penalty in our half for holding on or a shit clean out and they got a penalty it would have been a different ending
Damn how could the Bokks win with such unfavorable statistics?? 😖 I guess they were more realistic... In any case, it was a great game of rugby, and I feel very bad for my team, but sport is cruel. Well done to the Bokks and good luck for the future.
Faf did not have a great game. But if you think the Boks could have driven in their own half for 3 minutes without the French getting an isolated fallen forward during that time and getting over the ball for a penalty, you have not seen much rugby in your life. Many a game was lost that way. I prayed that he would kick a huge contestable bomb, just to get the Boks out of the French kicking range. That might have saved the game for us! All their backs were flat, the ball was contestable, and our defense was up. Great decision-making!
it was only 60 seconds left, and if he was gona kick need to be deeper. ive seen sir richie run the clock down 2-3min for the AB so many times, they can do 60 seconds! 😃
South Africans are raised that when you host someone at your home, you receive them with grace and make them feel at home “maak jouself tuis”… but … not the French….!!! Their mothers raised them very differently! Last night’s match was as stressful as watching your team play in a final .. the crowd was brutal .. the home turf totally their advantage. Rassie… flippen hell.. the subs?!!😅 Springboks.. not only entertained by keeping us glued in agonizing anticipation, but our win was the greatest shoulder-dropping sigh of relief .. 1 Point difference. And as they say in tennis, a miss is as good as a mile. And so, we won by a mile 🇿🇦☺️ Kitshof ~ jou doring & goud van Paul Roos🏉 🇹🇩!! PRG should declare today a “no school day”😅 my son has already missed his school bus!! Go bokke!!!!!!!!!!
ohh it was not as brutal as the kiwi hosts, very polite in comparison. im still waiting for someone to bring up rassie's subs in the media. 🤫 thanks for watching and i hope you got your son to school on time 🤣🤣
Wildkard - the french prop was boring into Ox Nche! When you see the footage from the top, its very clear that he is coming in on the angle. Ironically the ref blew Ox for boring in. It should tell you what these refs know about scrumming. The other french prop was hingeing the entire game, not sure why he was never blown (vs Kitshoff). Ben O Keefe is clueless when it comes to scrum time.
I was watching this with my French friend and we collectively slammed the pub table at the same time when full time was called, damn, such an incredible match though like, jesus.
When the Boks opted to take the scrum after the mark taken I was confused. Then it dawned on me that the domination in the scrums was more intense than what we realised. We saw quite a few scrum penalties soon afterwards.
Faf kicked the ball away because he KNEW someone like Deon Fourie or Kwagga Smith could turn it over. I think we make less mistakes when we defend, and so I think the kick away was tactical - allowing France to make the mistake with ball in hand.
Wow Wild one, you have nailed it about Jesse Kriel. I was one of the South African who wrote him off. Woooow the 1st half flew so quickly I couldn't believe it. What a game, France deserves credit as well and I apologies to the entire French people for the loss on behalf of the Springboks. We had the whole world against us but the rugby gods were on our side.
So far the best game. Springboks managed to counterpunch so hard, cuz France was playing so brilliantly, however the impact of the SA bench was indeed phenomenal, closing the match, not to mention that the first 10 min of the 2nd half SA played with 14 players,. 2 am, You should have seen me shouting every time Springboks scored or did a great play, 10 floor buding in the balcony, lol

Bonjuor! in 2007 one of the best all blacks team and favorites to win the rwc lost to France in the quarter finals. The players and captain Richie McCaw never complained about the forward pass and looked at what they could have done better and they worked hard and became the greatest rugby team ever and won RWC twice. Dupont has the talent, now the test is does he have the hard work ethic and resilience to truely become the greatest of all time? There is more to come with France and Dupont mate. it's the journey not the destination thats the best part.
Even when the Boks were down for a while I couldn’t see them losing it. Faf was smart to kick it away as okefe was desperate to given a penalty against the Boks for sealing off
Mate south africa got away with their share, take a look at kwaggas penalty that pollard kicked, both hands were on the ground before he grabbed the ball
All respect to Antonio but there’s a 50 kg difference I don’t blame Ox for buckling. For him Ox to be the most dominant scrummager in World rugby. WHILE BEING THE SMALLEST speaks volumes about him and his technique I’ve watched since he played for the cheetahs he’s ALWAYS dominated tight head props picking them up in the scrums. Couldn’t ask for a better player to replace the Beast

Love your passion. Makes me feel normal screaming at the TV for 80 mins. I agree all round Etsabeth is probably our best lock, and SA’s top 10 locks would all have Mike Tyson worried
cheers mate hahah gota let it out!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 your intro. btw Faf's kick ... relax it was all part of the master plan ...to give u material for your review.
i know he had me in mind!
First halve might be the best 40 minutes of Rugby EVER played!!! I aged by 10 years last night! I can't handle this anymore..

Kolbe charge down that conversion. Vital
What a great game of rugby
I have never seen a charge down of a conversion. Kolbe won the match right there.
Right? I don't understand why Fiji didn't do the same
@@worsiedogFiji was all over the place
@@BlueBobbin I think Fiji played well.
They were a bit frazzled at the start.
The ref made some unfair decisions in my opinion.
England are lucky that they won.
Very bad sportsmanship on English side from some players. One tackle should definately have been a yellow card.
Digraceful that Curry got away with it.
the charge down turned out to be vital
1:10 Faf kicking the ball away was the most stressful part of the game. I was like WTF ARE YOU DOING FAF!!!!!
Just about Faf'd the game up
I was about to take The first Buenos Aires-Paris fly to go in there AND slap him in the face.
I thought faf looked really shaky when he came on, glad the boks won but still some work needs to be done
mate ive seen the all blacks run the clock 2-3mins down, and 59 seconds was really not that much...
Love your reviews with the stats and your passion for the game. Boks scraped through an epic game
bounce of rugby ball just like the AB game could have gone either way!

@@Wildkard I was already pissed that they chose to go for a kick for touch instead of trying to get the 3 points that half 😂
We will see the two best teams battling it out without the influence of the crowd. It’s gonna be spectacular.
springboks has leveled the playing field! lol
This game took years off my life! So proud of our boys and so happy we advance. But the French...omfw what a magical, magnificent team!
nahhh mate, u gained years of your life! rugby is good! u will stay alive to watch more!
Proud of France team. Bad luck for us and five bad referee decision. However, congratulation to SA team. Good fighting spirit and players! I wish you a good final against New Zealand.....🧡🧡
thanks for watching mate! will see you guys again!
Thrilling game and great analysis. Looking like the Webb Ellis Cup to stay in the southern hemisphere. That conversion charge down was incredible by Cheslin Kolbe! Agree that Dupont is such a brilliant player, the maestro.
if george ford plays and borthwick puts his eddie jones brain aside next week will be very hard for the boks
Yeah they could play like how they did when Jonny Wilkinson played e.g. take every opportunity to get 3 points here and there.
@@shinyori if ford is playing and no farrell this would be a very tough game for the boks
@@Wildkard I am on the same page. I didn't understand why he didn't play against Fiji. Maybe they rested him for the semifinal. Farrell is a liability for Engkand, in my opinion.
I think Faf had to kick it at the end, it’s very easy to get a sealing call against you in those situations.
100% right decision. Could have gone further though 👀
Why not kick deep to touch then?
@@johanntrojer2577 If it went farther the back guy would have caught it easily and attacked.

Oh my poor heart, another World Cup test match that should come with a health warning before you watch it, wow, just wow. Congrats to the Bokke, commiseration to the hosts, I actually need a week to recover after these quarter finals, epic.

hhahahaha just a little cardio work out! its good for you!
Kiwi here - boks played like they were dying tomorrow. Absolutely they deserve it 🎉 one of the best teams in the world
absolutely deserved it mate!. i feel bad for france and ireland too. and yes its sad, but the winners worked hard and earned thier results and it was awesome!
Also, Dupont is in a different league and was incredibly instrumental in their gameplan.
the bounce of the rugby ball mate, could have gone either way. it was insane match
As always, legendary reaction! Just love it. Believe me, we needed oxygen here in South Africa!

Genuine question WK. Can we watch the final with you somewhere? Would legit love to watch it live with you and maybe with some of your community you've built here. I feel your passion mixed in with the rest of passionate subs would be a really cool atmosphere to experience.
i might do the commentary for the final, especially if its all blacks vs boks. ill let everyone know after semis
Jesse Kriel was immense last night. Another performance thats going under the radar in this WC is Kwagga, bro is a guarenteed momentum swinger when he comes on, tough as nails as well
100% agree mate!
We were a group of eight French watching, from 15 to 60 years old, but everyone was terrorized when Kolbe had the ball. What a player.

I think the springboks just played for 80 min and since they played the way they played this was exactly like the Springboks play
i dont wana see a different springbosk lol, this is very good tbh.
What fad did there was the correct thing to do. A penalty in our half for holding on or a shit clean out and they got a penalty it would have been a different ending
yeah but the kick was too shallow barely went pass the 50
I lost a few kilograms watching the game.
Damn WHAT A GAME🔥🔥🔥🔥

Wow... to think that the Cheslin Kolbe conversion charge down was the difference between a French win & French loss
Its crazy to think how close the margins were in this game, sometimes luck favour the brave, but all respect to france they played exceptionally well.

Jesse Kriel finally showed us what he can do on defense. My mind was blasted. 🤯
it was super human, never seen anyone play 80mins that hard all the way through
Damn how could the Bokks win with such unfavorable statistics?? 😖
I guess they were more realistic...
In any case, it was a great game of rugby, and I feel very bad for my team, but sport is cruel.
Well done to the Bokks and good luck for the future.
Because they have the best DEFENSE IN THE WORLD.
its rugby mate, anything can happen its about how much you want it!
You are brilliant mate - love it!
cheers mate!!!
Rassie… flippen hell.. the subs?!!😅
Springboks.. not only entertained by keeping us glued in agonizing anticipation, but our win was the greatest shoulder-dropping sigh of relief ..
1 Point difference. And as they say in tennis, a miss is as good as a mile.
And so, we won by a mile 🇿🇦☺️

Another Northern Hemisphere team out,it just keeps getting better.
i know kinda feels bad lol
Wildkard - the french prop was boring into Ox Nche! When you see the footage from the top, its very clear that he is coming in on the angle. Ironically the ref blew Ox for boring in. It should tell you what these refs know about scrumming. The other french prop was hingeing the entire game, not sure why he was never blown (vs Kitshoff). Ben O Keefe is clueless when it comes to scrum time.
thought the ref says hinging which is collapsing the scrum, but yeah it was hard call
the 2nd call was hingeing I believe! If you look at the other side when the ref calls that, the French prop for me was hingeing@@Wildkard

I was watching this with my French friend and we collectively slammed the pub table at the same time when full time was called, damn, such an incredible match though like, jesus.
absolutely, hopeuflly u didn break the table
When the Boks opted to take the scrum after the mark taken I was confused. Then it dawned on me that the domination in the scrums was more intense than what we realised. We saw quite a few scrum penalties soon afterwards.
yeah they boks obviously knew something they can exploit and they delivered.
I am not a fan of Jesse or DDL but both of them had amazing games. Class performances.
absolutely, they played 80mins also. just huge performance
Faf kicked the ball away because he KNEW someone like Deon Fourie or Kwagga Smith could turn it over. I think we make less mistakes when we defend, and so I think the kick away was tactical - allowing France to make the mistake with ball in hand.
Risky hey but worked out 💪
Agree on the intent. But the execution was not the best. But it worked... just.
gota kick deeper cos george ford can drop goal 50m this weekend

What a game, France deserves credit as well and I apologies to the entire French people for the loss on behalf of the Springboks. We had the whole world against us but the rugby gods were on our side.
Not sure the boks had the whole world against them. Would be interesting to understand what brought you to this conclusion

So far the best game. Bonjuor! in 2007 one of the best all blacks team and favorites to win the rwc lost to France in the quarter finals.
The players and captain Richie McCaw never complained about the forward pass and looked at what they could have done better and they worked hard and became the greatest rugby team ever and won RWC twice.
