Just love the way you guys can discuss technical rugby matters and still have a go at each other....beautiful! Thanks for a great show from another Bok supporter.
Correct me if I’m wrong but the springbok team have run battle stats on all teams in the World Cup and Kwagga was the top leading into this World Cup for meaningful impacts. The reason he keeps Kwagga on the bench and brings him on, the opposition are tired and with someone’s battle stats that high they have a higher impact on the game when opposition aren’t at 100%. Watch the movie MoneyBall. He’s taken the principal and adapted it to rugby with a top international rugby team.
Etzebeth was amazing. But I thought that Kolbe played as well as you can play as a wing. If someone who doesn't watch rugby asked me: "What is a winger's job on the field?" I would show them this match and point to Kolbe. Finding space. Making defenders guess. Showing incredible pace on the outside when actually given space. Chasing down a conversion kick (?!?!?). And finally, which I think is actually really not been spoken much about after the game, keeping a lid on an insane attacking winger like Penaud. Even Kolbe couldn't 100% contain him. Any other winger on the day and Penaud would have scored 3 tries on Saturday. Etzebeth was amazing, but Kolbe was sensational.
i think he starts exactly at the moment that Ramos stops looking and positioning and starts moving his torso up and going into the running motion. he's 2m behind the line so this saves a brink of a second as well and since he's fast in general and has great grip he manages to do the sprint in just the perfect time.
Need to clean your glasses. He's at least 5m offside. Not even talking avouth Etzebeth deliberate know on at the 6th or 7th minutes which shoud have resulted in a 14-0 and a confortable victory for France.

I think people don't fully understand how much it means to South Africa. I get it that it was huge for the French, with it being their home WC and them having a good team, but SA lost the voting for hosting the WC in 2023 in very questionable circumstances. Not sure if SA will ever be hosts again (probably because of the money) and anyone who understands what is going on in SA knows how much it means. So I get it, it's tough - but it means as much to every nation.
We need hope .... most ppl dnt understand what we have to deal with , a completely corrupt government, decaying infrastructure, rolling power black outs for up to 6 hours at a time, water outages, no law enforcement, farm murders a plenty , rising cost of living and excessive fuel prices and poverty that is reaching catastrophic proportions , added to this the government and municipal officials steal the tax payers money , infrastructure is collapsing and they dnt care , white and black alike are suffering while afew elite are still ok. Which make it even more suspicious for us French... revenge. I m very curious why none of the suspicious takle, ruck or the run from Kolbe were never checked at the video... if there was nothing then it would have been better to show. Just the last penalty should have been against SA not again France. All ruck were slowed by SA which has a big impact for France since our game is based on how fast the ball is released... the fact that the referree let that happen clearly impacted France game. I
Once the kicker stands still, then makes any sort of movement afterwards, the chaser is allowed to start his charge. Cheslin started running the moment Ramos lifted his body up from a slightly bent position. The charge down was legal.
@@willboa5365 Go watch the charge down video with the wide angle and you will see Ramos move up from his bent position. People think the charge should start when Ramos lifts his leg to move towards the ball but thats wrong, the rules state any sort of movement from the still position the kicker takes is when the charge down can take place.
Total bad faith man. He obviously began to run before Ramos started to even move one of his feet. And the simple fact that the ref didn't bother to check the TMO says a lot.
@@gonzoii148 You do not look for the leg movement only when checking legality of a charge down. So many people keep getting this rule wrong. We are looking for movement post the kicker standing still. In this case Ramos raising his upper part of his body.
In knock out rugby it appears to be a game of very fine margins- Cobus Reinach is a brilliant half back and Rassie chose him to start over Faf as Cobus has played rugby in France for 4 years now and know their game. Amongst obvious other skills on the pitch, thats my opinion on that selection 🇿🇦
@@a10aceThey both have a place. The concept of "best" is meaningless in this team. Reinach opens a defence up and generates tries. Faf closes it out when it gets tight and we wanna calm everything down. Did you not see his rip?
As a french fan, I am absolutely gutted. We knew that it was going to be a tough match, of course. I just felt like we were the better team on the field, that we played our best rugby, our most beautiful rugby and we lost by one point. To an incredible team, yes, but f*** me, this World Cup, in our country, was so much more than just sport. Our defeat in 2011 by one point against the blacks was tough, but we were lucky to be at this stage in the competition, we weren't that good. I think that right now, this is the best french team ever, even with Ntamack injury. For more than a decade we were shit. There was so much hope, passion... I think that Andy underestimate the traumatism we feel right know. Every person I know that was behind this french team is baffled and hurt. I couldn't find a single friend that could care about the tournament know. We are acting like there isn't a world cup in France right know, complete denial. I wish I could enjoy the semi-finals and the final. I can't, it is too painful, and I think a lot of french fans feel the same... @generalmoralhazard Goodie wasn't saying that you the French aren't feeling it. He's more saying that the energy hasn't completely disappeared from the tournament, because it hasn't. Its semi final weekend. Grounds will be full and buzzing.
It's the same for supporters from any team when they lose. It was super tough and any team could have won on the day. You have a young team so think there will be great opportunities in the future.
it looks questionable his run started early. Can't believe the TMO did not look but lets be honest the refs have been poor. One minute a head collision is an automatic red now its just a yellow or nothing.
@tombutcher3021 tmo probably did look and saw that he was onside I do agree refs have been poor though. Eben should never have been carded and it's convenient how they missed the head on head of penaud on PSDT which even sent him off for an hia. Farrel wasn't carded bit Smith was meanwhile Farrel was way more egregious in his knock down
The concept of having a ref who can communicate in both teams languages is nice ofcourse but just not feasible in practise lads. Will we have a Spanish speaking ref for the first semi final this weekend? How do we find neutral refs who speak Georgian or Japanese for example?
Bro even Kolbe said he hoped the referee wouldn't ask for a video. He himself knows he ran too early. However, the transformation was difficult. There was no guarantee that Ramos would pass. But it deserved a second chance
All I will say is that the Springboks have had a South African ref and Nigel Owens explain to them the laws of the game. Charging down a conversion would have been one of the things they were advised on....
As happy as I feel for Springboks win, there is as much sadness for the French. A true clash of the titans! Maximum respect to the French team! Debate about Kolbe on/offside is a good one. 2 points could have made a difference. Does not mean the outcome would have been the same or different though as every touch of the ball has an impact on the next sequence of events. Saying this, no one seems to mention that Dupont was not on the mark (he was ahead of it) when he went fast and France subsequently scored from there...should that have been looked at and not awarded...? Ultimately both teams showed the world what next level rugby looks like...incredible performance from both teams...RUGBY WON!!!
As a South African I am so over the moon that South Africa won but I have to I am conflicted that it had to be against France. They played extraordinarily well and I would have loved them to still be in the game but it would have been devastating for South Africa. Our country happiness is very much intertwined with the springboks
@@christophermichaelclarence6003 I can imagine your are devastated … it would have been the same for us … it could have been us! It was so close… but I have so much respect for your team.
It’s easy to look like a genius as a coach when your country’s system produces so much playing talent. I have SA heritage and grew up there. You played rugby in winter and cricket in summer. It was as simple as that at school. Very few - with a good excuse - got away with hockey instead. Completely different to the UK - where I finished my education. SA produces so many great players and coaches, as a result.
We had record losses just before Rassie took over and made us World Champs in 18 months. Most of those players were in the team before he took over. Yes we have amazing talent and depth, but there is much more to rugby than just having great players. You can still say Rassie is a genius while respecting the talent and depth we have.
The only thing that really heartens me after that weekend. Both SA and New Zealand have rugby as their number one or number 2 sport and still were only 1 score ahead of France and Ireland who have rugby as a very niche game, especially Ireland, all your best athletes barely beat our posh school kids. For reference I can't name you a school locally that play rugby. You'd have to travel 40 miles to find one that plays it maybe 80 to 100 miles away to find one that takes it seriously. Noone plays it. We do watch it though 😅
The interest in rugby in UK, France and SA is about equal in numerical terms because rugby is still only played and supported by a very small percentage of our population. However Siya and his boys have changed all that... there will be more black Springboks in about 12 years time

Wrong - I saw a top view camera angle shot of the charge down from Cheslin Kolbe and he was NOT offside. He also played with Thomas Ramos for 6 years in France and he knew his exact motion so he new when to run for the charge down
The discipline shown in those two games in Paris . The atmosphere was electric, Kolisi said they trained all week with sound systems belting out the French national anthem to replicate the atmosphere they faced. Sad for Ireland and France and the vibe the fans created and style both teams played at. If you are 6 9 getting to normal human altitude is a major effort. Totally agree SA have turned the game into a 23 man game , you don't have to necessarily start with your strongest 15, its how well you use those 8 men.
Goody, disagree about Kolby. I initially thought no way but the close-up of the wider shot shows Ramos started his approach. The Boks probably analyzed this. However slight, he did indeed start his movement. Perhaps a bit of a flaw in his technique but he has this little movement to the left and the slightly forward before he starts his run. That would be considered part of his approach.
Siya, Bongi, Eben, Pieter-Stef, Mannie, Faf and other we’re not complaining about the O Keene’s English. Not their first languages either, they were in the exact same position as Dupont. Montoya’s post match interview - did not hear a call for a Spanish speaking ref for semi finals.
Ireland v NZ was decided by a held up try. France v SA was decided by a point. The bounce of a ball between those 4 teams and well done to NZ and SA. Hats off as an Irishman. Broke my heart but rugby is growing here.
@@YallNotWhite_YourPINKBut Ireland beat the South Africans earlier on in the tournament. Get your facts straight oh and by the way, they got 2 yellow cards for dangerous play you reckon there's something to be proud of about that is there.
If you know anything about rugby, you will know that sometimes it can be harder playing against 14. It happens in soccer as well. Sometimes a team brings their game to a new levelwhem they lose a player. NZ looked like a team possessed and were desperate to win that match. It was not a reflection on Ire shortcomings. Just for context, Ben O’Keefe explained two decisions in French, one at a scrum, and one for that big turnover after the French made 60 meters. Maybe not fluent, but also needs to be said that he did some when it was complex.
Great commentary guys, agree with you on Ebens card, as an SA fan I don't know he the Boks pulled that off, it was unbelievable, good luck to England, we will drink to each other after the game no matter what happens.
Sorry guys, but the Kolbe charge down was 100% Legit. There is a video online showing every split second since he started to take the kick and Kolbe pulling away. Definitely NOT offside...
Goody is wrong. Kolbe runs the 100m in a shade over 10 sec. Ramos was fully four seconds from starting his kicking move to actually striking the ball. Cheslin only had to cover 22m in those 4 seconds. Not even close to being a problem. Also, most notably, Ramos did not complain.
O'Keefe had a decent game. He did miss a few things that favoured the Boks, but he also missed at least 3 head-on-heads that should have been penalties to SA or maybe even French yellows. But there were no live replays of those incidents. Funny that! And I'll have to disagree with Goodie on the Kolbe charge down. I've seen wide angle and zoomed in replays of Kolbe's charge down, and it was perfection. Kolbe started his run as soon as Ramos started his swaying movement. That's what you get when Kolbe has played in the same team as Ramos for years. He knows Ramos' process like the back of his hand.
"He can't speak French" this the most ridiculous rugby argument ever. So if speaking the native languages of the team a referee officiates then none of the refs would qualify. Can any of the refs speak Fijian, Japanese, Portuguese, Xhosa, Samoan, Tongan, Maori, Spanish, Afrikaans etc??? The French are not special. If other teams can learn to communicate in English then they should too.
Good point about the first language communication - just remember English actually isn't the first language for lots of the SA team either. It is certainly something to consider going forwards and I would agree that people should consider the ability of the captain to communicate effectively with the ref. If this means you change your captain or have a player who is always with the captain talking to the ref as an officially recognised 'translator' then that is something to consider. Top teams do ref analysis before each game specifically because the ref can make a huge impact on the game.
These games are won by inches. Kolbe charged down conversion was amazing. Etzebeth is smart he knock ball backwards. That was bit of skill by Etzebeth. De Klerk grabbing the ball from that maul at very end was game saver. This sort of desperation wins games. The World Cup final could be greatest game ever. All Blacks 3 times champion Vs Springboks 3 times Champion. Who will be four time champion????
I get the not speaking french thing but what about Afrikaans or IsiXhosa? English isnt the first language for almost all of the Springboks. It seems a bit impractical to cater for all languages
English is one of the official languages of SA, and is spoken by almost everyone there. Not in France. Also, French is an international language, and France is a major rugby nation.
@@MC_Jean_Raclette like I said I get the french thing but, seriously, how international a language is french in rugby circles? Its France and Canada. Afrikaans is South Africa and Namibia. In rugby, ironically, English is the Lingua Franca
@@mallencolly Afrikaans isn't really an international language. French is, for diplomacy, Olympic Games, fencing... Not in rugby, but France is the biggest market, with the most important league, with foreign referees (and players) in there, its national team is in the top 4, and with the historical importance and diffusion of the language, it could be considered more. But due to the anglo-saxon prevalence in that sport, it'd surprise me.
@@MC_Jean_Raclette everything youre saying there is true for English, probably even more so. Your league is only the "most important" to you. Im sure eveybody else thinks there leagues are the most imortant. The simple matter is that, in rugby terms, French is no more important than any other language. France is no more important than any other nation. Id love for world rugby to have a drive to get more multilingual referees but not just for France. Spanish is probably the most important one to do.
14:14 I don’t agree with the call that Kolbe ran in early. I have another clip taken from the stands that show: yes it was incredibly marginal, but as Ramos begins, Kolbe begins. Let me know where I should send it.
Cheslin was definitely not in front of the line... he was ready like a tightly wound spring and, as soon as Ramos shifted from his still position, Cheslin was off. Ramos takes 4 very very slow steps forward and kicks with the 5th foot movement - Cheslin is very fast, but Ramos made it a little easy for him too. I don't for a minute think that this was a spur of the moment decision for Cheslin. I am sure some homework was done watching Ramos in action. Ramos has a very slow kicking style... easy homework!
@@PierreLeger1 Kolbe runs 100m in just over 10 seconds. He is VERY fast. Ramos had 4 seconds from the start of his move to the actual strike. Cheslin only had to cover 22m in those 4 seconds. Not even close to being a problem.
No need to feel sorry for any beaten team, this is a sport, with winners and losers. France was beaten by a better team, but no shame in a wonderful game of rugby. I have liked South Africa for a while but the duo of Esteban and De Klerk are a super attraction. Amidst all the talk of big hard men, which is difficult to discern on T.V., De Klerk shines.
"France was beaten by a better team" is kinda controversial, referee played a huige part in SA win by never penalizing rucks for some reason. Also TMO misssed so many dangerous stuff on both side, they should be straight up fired and never hired again for sleeping on the job.
For sure they do from SA players coming from the side.@@driesdiamond5016 The fact that Dupont asked the whole game for the ref to penalize rucks because how ridiculous SA players are ... Lucky you Dupont got totally ignored. Enjoy your robbery just like in '95 ;)
Love the show chaps... Regards Kolbe's charge down... Have a look at Libboks second conversion attempt on 19 minutes. It wasn't charged down, but the charge definately affected his kick, and he missed... And guess what French man was offside.
Yeah, saw the video on IG and disagree with the offside. According to rugby laws, Kolbe was allowed to start his charge as soon as Ramos made his first movement (which can be the "first movement in any direction to begin their approach to kick". I just think Ramos takes too long and Kolbe knew it and took advantage of it. Maybe that's why Dan Bigger does the makarina before he kicks to confuse everyone 😅
I don't understand what the French are on about? Fine take the 2 points from the conversion and we'll take the penalty for offside right on the goal line when Ben refused to give it. Fine, take away our three points for the Kwagga penalty, we'll take a scrum in your Half that Ben didn't award when our ball hit him (most likely also resulting in a scrum penalty and we have a shot from there). Either way France still lose! Maybe have a dig at Jalibert instead who cost you meters on a touch finder.
Or the massive head on head clash by the centre on Eben when he scored the try, the French bloke nearly knocked himself out. Calling foul when there were "bad"calls both ways is BS. BOK makes the game flow, he does that by making calls both ways.
Didn't have an issue with Ben O'Keefe cause he's great at keeping things going but I felt like the TMO just decided to have a night off on Sunday. If you're going to have a ref that keeps the flow of the game going like that you need a TMO that's checking things and calling them out. Ben can't see everything but he should have decent back-up and it felt like that was lacking.
To maintain BOK was biased, or incompetent, is tantamount to saying him, both assistant refs, and the TMO group were all complicit in bias to influence the outcome, which is just ridiculous. I mean, did they secretly meet somewhere beforehand? Or were called together by World Rugby officials and briefed on how the decisionmaking must be one-sided, or biased? And such skullduggery would never leak, or be exposed by just one person involved, or aware? That is just plain paranoia or naivete.
The ref not speaking French identified as a problem does not consider the fact that Eng is also a second language for most Bok players. For some including the Bok captain- Siyamthanda Kolisi - , Eng is his third language. Xhosa then Afrikaans then English. By that same logic the ref needed to at least speak Afrikaans or Xhosa also. 😂
No one has a divine right to lift the World Cup trophy. The boks all blacks ire France are the best teams in the world by far which has just been proved in the quarters.. they are consistent with accuracy and tenacity on another level.. however the eventual nauseating continuous massaging of egos regarding ire France was becoming unbearable almost to the point it felt either of those teams should just be handed the Webb Ellis trophy on reputation alone.. what the all blacks and boks did in those 2 games was sensational especially the boks against the World Cup host.. both those games took rugby to another level.. simply breathtaking…
@@phili200I don't think any team should win a game because something is missed by the officials. @@malindabrown6882 I get what you're saying about the officials missing some calls, but it's worth noting that both teams had their fair share of 50/50 decisions not going their way. It's all part of the game, and sometimes those calls just don't fall in your favor. France wasn't the sole recipient of unfavorable decisions; in fact, South Africa had a player receive a yellow card and France was still unable to capitalise sufficiently to secure a sufficient lead. It's important to note that even if the referee hadn't missed certain infractions in favor of France, there's no guarantee that these would have led to a French victory. One could argue that if the referee hadn't overlooked infractions committed by France, South Africa's score might have been even higher. However, the game is now in the past, and dwelling on these "what-ifs" won't change the outcome.
More than 50% of the players who were fielded for the Springboks on Sunday don't consider English their home or native language either. But yes, the team might be more proficient in English compared to the French. LOL maybe that's where the match was won and lost!
Cheslin was even late if you asked me I watched that like 10 times he stays on the line until exact second Thomas start moving. but even before the charge Tomas did a side step which can be considered as GO for Cheslin. Correct me if I am wrong put it is specified until the player make a step, he can lean back and forward but once he make a step it's go time! Also everyone complain about how Etzebeth got the ball and no one is reading the rules that you have to push it forward to be a penalty he clearly did not push it forward so even if it was on the line that is still not forward...
Cheslin Kolbe was not offside. He read Ramos because he knows his movements from playing with him.He starts running from behind the line once Ramos slightly left which is part of his approach.Check again.
Hot take: it’s a better draw this time around for the World Cup because you sacrifice two good quality semi finals to make every group game and quarter final count more and all the games are tighter and you increase the quality of the final because the semis are less intense
yeah 100%. Although England might be starting to peak as a team but their peak is probably still > 10 points behind the boks. Unless the boks are taking more strain having gone through a much tougher route to the final. Lets see.
Well, must the Ref also the be able to speak Afrikaans and the 9ther languages (Springboks are dominantly Afrikaans, Xhosa, and Zulu)? English is our second language as well you know... How come must the French be given special treatment? What about Romania? Portugal? There is a mistake in your reasoning. Also, great video guys. Lovely. Go Bokke! Jim, please don't vote for the Boks this weekend hey, asking for the entire South Africa!
Absolute Bullshit re the ref speaking French. They don't pcik refs who speak Geogian or Afrikaans or Spanish when other teams are playing. Why should the French be treated differently? The players can go for english classes as well.
Remember guys that for the finals, the seats are prepaid. We went over to nz in 2011 for a semi final that was to be between nz and the boks, only to be kicked out in the quarters by australia which we (the boks) played because aus lost to Ireland in the pools
Thing is, the people who compile the slow motion replays, who are French btw, made an effort to show footage to the crowd of bad decisions. For instance, a Kwagga Smit turnover where he had his hand on the ground. I think if there was any video evidence of Kolbe setting off early, we would've seen it in the replay. Furthermore, Penaud almost managed a charge down on the previous Sprinbok conversion, and we all saw that he is much slower than Kolbe.
Ben O'Keefe refereed England vs France in the 6 Nations,he speaks enough French to get his point across... remember England got rinsed that game, the French understand O'Keefe perfectly
Goodey, and he’s not wrong, just wanted Luke P to have a go. And I agree, Luke might be best ref in the world right now … at least knocking on the door!
From what I can see from the replay, Kolbe moved over the goalline when Ramos made the minor first step towards the ball - I would propose he started moving towards the ball; hence, legit.
Why? Two years ago everyone wanted tries to be scored by backs, 75% of the SA tries where by backs whilst all the tries of France where by forwards? I thought that was classified as "boring"? And why better for the game? To have a lower ranked team win the world cup? Then it would be better for Fiji or Argentina to win the game.
BoK speaks French - watch the Newshub interview with him. He chose to stick to English (until breaking into French near the end) because he equally doesn’t speak Afrikaans or Zulu, Xhosa. So had to keep things fair. Fair play.
Boys, you can't choose a cunning linguist mate over a better referee... Also, the French Prop is a kiwi, the (injured) flanker a bokke, so where is the issue? How many Italian, Romanian, Georgian speaking refs are there? Northern English, for that matter!! Spurious point, that one
a couple of times the boks had hands on the ground, they also use the medics to slow the game down at important moments, you could say a few french players had hands on ground but i didnt see it, the boks stretch the rules like a motherfucker, they are also a fantastic team who know how to win.
The French were the ones slowing the game down. Dupont took forever to clear the ball from the rucks. The French also took forever to form the lineouts and other set plays. So not sure why you consider the Boks were slowing it down. Furthermore, the French also employed an old All Black tactic of clearing, driving and /or holding players around the ruck/breakdown area preventing them from defending. Ireland did this as well. They would also "drive" way past the breakdown (also a AB tactic) to prevent a fair contest. It is a form of sealing but comes down to how a ref interprets it. Fair play to them if you can get away with it and the referee does not penalize it.
the French were offsides a lot and coming in from the side at clear outs , not penalised. there is footage of it. You win some and loose some. O Keefe was unsighted but Sa could also claim France got the rub of the green in many instances. Was a great game and comes down to chance. SA took theirs !
Also if we going to require the referee to speak French, then why limit it to French, then when Italians have their match we need the referee to speak Italian, and why stop there do the referee who does the Japan game have to speak Japanese, and then can we get the referee to speak Xhosa as we on the South African team have 11 native languages...please man Ben was fair he had some missed calls for both teams, massive missed calls for both South Africa and France

Correct me if I’m wrong but the springbok team have run battle stats on all teams in the World Cup and Kwagga was the top leading into this World Cup for meaningful impacts. Interesting I will watch the movie

That's true!!! Our wings both scored. Their wings couldn't do anything against us.
Rewatched the Cheslin Kolbe charge down like 10 times, hes not offside. Incredible charge down.
Spot on. A truly great piece of Test rugby.
i think he starts exactly at the moment that Ramos stops looking and positioning and starts moving his torso up and going into the running motion. he's 2m behind the line so this saves a brink of a second as well and since he's fast in general and has great grip he manages to do the sprint in just the perfect time.
Need to clean your glasses. He's at least 5m offside.

Yup saw it too, Andy Goode you are incorrect
Exactly, Jim is an absolute idiot!

Great podcast, we love Jim here down South 🇿🇦
I don't understand what the French are on about? Fine take the 2 points from the conversion and we'll take the penalty for offside right on the goal line when Ben refused to give it. Fine, take away our three points for the Kwagga penalty, we'll take a scrum in your Half that Ben didn't award when our ball hit him (most likely also resulting in a scrum penalty and we have a shot from there). Either way France still lose! Maybe have a dig at Jalibert instead who cost you meters on a touch finder.
+ the 5 scrum penalties SA didn't get and 3 of them were very kickable so 9 points SA didn't have the opportunity to get.
Or the massive head on head clash by the centre on Eben when he scored the try, the French bloke nearly knocked himself out. Calling foul when there were "bad"calls both ways is BS. BOK makes the game flow, he does that by making calls both ways.
I've heard on other chats/articles that B O'K does speak French. And he has reffed in the Top 14.

One why is a deliberate knock down only an offense when it goes forward and how can they miss a guy being way offside when I kick has been charged down. I think the French were robbed and SA don't deserve to be there. Go England!
@@malindabrown6882 How on earth do these experienced officials ALL miss such critical game-changing aspects, but you can see them? Maybe you should apply to World Rugby to become the first ref, TMO and line judge all rolled into one. I mean, they can save so much money on you. They do not even have to fly you in to the game. You will be able to do it from your couch.
Don't know what video you saw. Colby started his charge when Ramos moved. He was totally right
All Blacks are on another level...
Love this conversation, was entertaining and some great insights 🙂
I’m Pretty sure Ben O’Keeffe can speak french.

It was Nick Mallet not Heyneke Meyer who told the story of Battle Stats
More than 50% of the players who were fielded for the Springboks on Sunday don't consider English their home or native language either. But yes, the team might be more proficient in English compared to the French. LOL maybe that's where the match was won and lost!
Much more than 50%. Jesse Kriel and De Allende are the only English speaking Boks. The rest all speak other languages.
What about Fiji or Argentina?
@@coatknight what about them?
It was also very convenient not to show the head contact on du Toit.
👏🇿🇦
Cheslin Kolbe was not offside. He read Ramos because he knows his movements from playing with him.He starts running from behind the line once Ramos slightly left which is part of his approach.Check again.
There are multiple videos from the stadium - he’s onside.
Southern Hemisphere Domination
Ireland beat SA and France beat NZ in the pool stages. All the pools were topped by northern teams. Hardly Southern Hemisphere 'domination'.
@@stephendoherty981come again? Northern hemisphere has 1 world cup 🏆 whereas the southern hemisphere has 9 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 Hardly dominant you say😂😂😂😂
Lets see.
will someone mention about the communications between Rassie and Ben O Keeff, the day before the match ???
Well, must the Ref also the be able to speak Afrikaans and the 9ther languages (Springboks are dominantly Afrikaans, Xhosa, and Zulu)?
English is our second language as well you know... How come must the French be given special treatment?
What about Romania? Portugal?
There is a mistake in your reasoning.
Also, great video guys. Lovely.
Go Bokke! Jim, please don't vote for the Boks this weekend hey, asking for the entire South Africa!
Well said. The problem with the French is that their arrogance makes them think that everyone must cater to them.
Great Insight Guys!!
Then the Ref Should be able to speak Afrikaans and Xhosa aswell as French?
So glad you mentioned the charge down I was watching that thinking there is no way, he’s either off side or gone early
What a well balanced discussion. Best rugby discussion by quite a margin. Well done and thank you.
From what I can see from the replay, Kolbe moved over the goalline when Ramos made the minor first step towards the ball - I would propose he started moving towards the ball; hence, legit.
I still think France played the better rugby. It would have better for the game to have France in the Finals. Just saying.
Fair play.
He was consistent with both teams.
The charge down was not offside. Go watch it again mate. It was perfectly timed
Ramos stepped to the right then stopped, Kolbe started to run. If the kicker moves then you can run
"Who picks the referees?"
...
"Jim"
🤣🤣 Golden
a couple of times the boks had hands on the ground, they also use the medics to slow the game down at important moments, you could say a few french players had hands on ground but i didnt see it, the boks stretch the rules like a motherfucker, they are also a fantastic team who know how to win.
Thanks to the referee guys !!
The French to support the Boks for the rest of the WC please😅
Eben Etsebeth. is my favorite player wearing the Springbok jersey!!!!
Exactly
Italian isn't an international language, unlike French, and Italy isn't a major rugby nation yet, unlike France. Same goes for Japan and Japanese, Xhosa etc.
Some Missed calls for both teams but how many for each?
@MC_Jean_Raclette about 5 scrum penalties for SA that weren't given, 3 of which were in kickable positions. So 9 potential points or even more of a line kick was chosen 🙂 Faf was also reprimanded about trying to milk a penalty
@@MC_Jean_Raclette I get it you love your language but technically English is the international language nor French, I get many countries speak French but its not an international language...when you visit South Americ do you speak French?
@@shaynanicoleadams2980 French is used by multiple countries, and also by people of different linguistic backgrounds to communicate. It's the language of diplomacy (with English now), science and mathematics, UN, EU, Olympic Games, and yes actually even of the South American Union (plus we still have territories there), and many others. Therefore, it is an international language.
Jim: "It's sad that France are out." Goodey: "Is it?" 🤣 I love The Rugby Pod. Huge appreciation from Springbok fans, you guys are fantastic. 🙌🙏
