Let the consumer decide NOT government. California should be fixing roads, not regulating stuff that isn't relevant. How about cleaning human excrement off the sidewalk?
Thanks for the awesome video! Glad you mentioned the 30’ mower to ego and that they are listening to their customers! The 22’ ego professional looks beefy, cuts so damn good, & you can walk fast and get a clean cut everytime which is crazy in a video I saw on it in action
Today I found a very good deal at harbor freight I bought a 40v 5.0 ah / 80v 2.5 ah combo battery for 139.00 dollars with a free 40v cordless tool of my choice. I chose the 40v 16” chainsaw. Although I had to buy the charger it was worth every penny. The reviews on UA-cam convinced me to buy it today. I’ll let you know how it goes when I use it.
I moved in the middle of this summer to a newer house and beautiful neighborhood. My previous neighborhood was beautiful as well and all the neighbors were insanely obsessed and incredibly organized and clean looking yards. I started using my Ego tools there and in just a year almost 12 neighbors around the house asked me about how quiet my mower and all the outdoor tools were. So they changed their mowers and outdoor tools for Ego. Now my new place, man I am not kidding the first thing that I noticed outside of the house was that all my new neighbors have a gas mower and even a string trimmer gas ones extremely noisy. It seems they went shopping for the loudest one possible. I hope now I can show that there is something way better. Hope they pass the bill here in Wisconsin soon too.
@@jmljml5065 hope not for too long. Right at the border between California and Mexico on the east side of San Diego, ( Salton Sea ) there is a new battery company fully sustainable in extracting lithium and it’ll be for the first time mass production at home. This means they are capable of supplying half of the world's demand and of course, all the USA demands for the electric car companies and more. It will be completely running next year. How cool is that? The documentary is on the 60 Minutes Show!!! You're welcome!!
I am going to put this out there and take it for what it is worth. There are gasoline push mowers that have been working for decades. These mowers hasn't changed their battery platform or you can no longer get their batteries. The homeowner only needs to change the oil every decade of so do to synthetic oil longevity. The only extended cost is gas- which isn't much compared to the cost of a battery. The state of California decision has great effect on manufactures. The manufactures now have an opportunity to have extended sales and profit when a customer comes back for batteries or a new platform. TTI or other battery outdoor power equipment companies doesn't sell gas.
*Perfect Solution for Lawn Professionals:* 1), Buy 20 back-up batteries to have ready at all times (don’t worry only a couple thousand dollars) 2), Buy a gas powered generator to charge those batteries while working on your customers lawn (and pray that it doesn’t rain) 3), Allow, extra space on your work truck for the a), power generator b), gas for the generator c), a waterproof place to store the charged and uncharged batteries d), extra security lock box so the batteries don’t get stolen e), extra shaded spots since batteries don’t like heat …There problem solved
It’s really sad to see people are buying into this fake future once Trump gets in office we will be back on the good old, reliable, gas power equipment thank God
Ya, let's listen to CA the cesspool of the country !!!! Love tool batter platform. But try using a battery backpack at double the weight !! Plus, it's a third of the run time. And double to triple the cost. Lawn mowers are a much better option. Love my ego self-propelled wish ego would make a 36 or 38-inch rider !!! To go thru a smaller gate opening .
Great review. How fast do the 22" commercial mowers go? The residential models are too slow at 3.1mph. I use the Toro TimeMaster 30" @ 4.5mph. I love the size and speed, hate the belts & maintenance. I really wish EGO would come out with a commercial/ residencies in the 25" to 32" range that can move over 4 mph
I like innovation and glad we have electrics but we also need gas too. Its part of the ecosystem. I wish battery manufacturers would stop with bluetooth apps already. Im not staring at an app when cutting grass and the provided gauges are significant as it is. Great video as always!!
The majority of the lawns both private and city owned in my California town are maintained using gas powered equipment. The gardeners I have spoken with have no intention to convert to electric. Their plan is to buy their equipment from neighboring states. I suspect they will visit Las Vegas more than they currently do. And Nevada will not turn away the business.
While I am 💯 against EV automobiles being forced down consumers throats especially considering how imperfect the system is, and I feel consumers should have a right to choose. After having used my friends Ego original version push mower, they are exceptional. And I believe after teaming with John Deere, there's limitless potential. Cost will be a huge obstacle but I would be willing to try almost anything they release bcuz I really believe they don't rush production but wait for good to great long-term results b4 putting it out there.
We all love gas power, but I love the technological advancements.
I support options for consumers, let markets decide, not governments.
All in the name of that “global warming” bullshit. I guarantee we’ll still have deadly hurricanes.
I absolutely agree. But I will say my friend has an original Ego push mower and it's still as good as day 1.
Let the consumer decide NOT government. California should be fixing roads, not regulating stuff that isn't relevant. How about cleaning human excrement off the sidewalk?
Govt support is needed for major innovation. Without govt support we would still be using horses for transportation.
@@egs2169 I disagree.
Rde mower that only gets an acre sucks
…Perfect for lawn professionals who work 10 hours a day

I'm sure the Chinese kids who made your battery implements appreciate your enthusiasm over their products.

Also will have an impact on small engine mechanics as well as the ability for the customer to diagnose and repair their own machines
Be aware theirs a reason colbolt is called a rare earth mineral. It's rare!!
You think catalytic converter theft is bad, wait till people start pricing replacement bat rays.

Everything but the gas generator is a valid point
I don't want an app to run power equipment, or my car or my lamp etc.

I love ego, is like the tesla of power tools.
I was really hoping they would have a 30in push mower on display (like the Toro Timemaster). Maybe next year.
How much???
Great video Clint. Thanks for the info!

You are 100% right ego should have come out with a 30” commercial mower this year although I do like the 22” and it’s a step in the right direction.
😌 California…
🤦🤦🤦
Plow for the tractor?
Thanks, Commufornia. 🤷♂️
Cool video Clint.

Way to expensive
