I still cannot get over Home Depot ditching EGO. It did not take long for Lowe’s to grab it. What was Home Depot thinking?
We may never know jim
Maybe Milwaukee/Ryobi is entering that space. The same way they ditched Klein tools.
It’s cause Lowe’s ceo wanted chervon the parent company of ego to be in a partnership like Home Depot has with tti the parent company of Milwaukee ryobi and the orange rigid, cause they already have a relationship cause ego makes the kobalt 24vtools for Lowe’s,so they pulled ego to Lowe’s they also pulled skil to Lowe’s replacing portacable and black decker for the lower end and flex a company that makes to amazing corded power tools they added a cordless tool division and the first place they where sold was Lowe’s also if you go to Lowe’s from the pro side you’ll see the flex and kobalt signs more than dewalt and craftsman
@@arbuckleworkshop9857 thank you for your well-informed and thoughtful reply
I agree. Horrible move, and it's an American company on top of that.
I have owned EGO tools for a couple of years now and had an issue with a blower. I contacted them for a replacement part which probably cost about .25 cents. They told me not to bother, they would just replace the whole blower for free. I said "for a .25 cent part" and they said "Yup". .......Noooice"!
My ego edger took a shit after a yr and ego did NOT do shit to fix it.
I sell the EGO brand and several other commercial battery powered landscaping equipment brands; and believe me, everyone is in some type of transition mode towards battery. I'm finding people are eager for information on converting to battery and exactly how it can benefit them. EGO is a solid brand and boy do they make some cool things!
Right on brother 👊
They need a 30 inch version with one of the big batteries (like is in the zero turn) so it lasts 2-3 hours.
If that mower is $3999.00 with the price of the 6 amp hour battery at $349 x 6 makes the mower itself under 2 grand which is cheaper than gas mowers now. That’s amazing.
Yea this is the only place ive heard the price I wonder how accurate that is .
Homeowner here, man, I love these tools. I don't do a lot of landscaping, and I have some health issues, but the entirety of not having to get/keep/dispose of gasoline, oil, etc, but also not having sub-rate power because it's "just electric" is astounding. I add a new item from them every year or so just because I love their tools.
I saw your IG post on the chainsaw, looks impressive, I used their 56 volt and it was a beast. Love to see this pro grade model in action.
I've got the original Power head with the hedge trimmer and pole saw attachment, the original larger chainsaw, the original two stage snow blower from 3 years ago and the 650-cfm leaf blower from a couple years ago. Very handy equipment and I would really love to have the newer snowblower because it seems like the adjustment is a little bit better for directing the snow schute, I want the power washer and when my Honda lawnmower starts to need work I want to replace it with one of these ego push mowers. Don't really need the Shop-Vac yet. I have a lightweight secondhand 18-volt Rigid and a plug-in wet-dry-removable leaf blower style 15 gallon vacuum from rigid that came out a decade ago and it's still in great shape.
I would like to have the commercial mower for home residential use. Yes its expensive and overkill, but it seems like a well built machine that will outlast the batteries. I like that it's duel battery and has a turbo button. It looks like it checks all the boxes in what I've been asking from EGO. What I need to verify is if you can activate Turbo mode in the mower without disengaging the blade. If you can turn turbo on and off easily without having to turn mower off, I would be happy to switch from Honda back to EGO again.
Wow still no lawn vacuum
What has EGO got against Scarifiers? ☹️
Looks like the first battery mower I could respect….
The one that everyone would buy is a foldup deck that can get through a backyard gate but mow at 50+ inches. Battery should make possible since the deck is not pully driven.
I love Ego. Have two 21 inch mowers, 3 string trimmers, two blowers, bush trimmer, chain saw, and the universal handle with pole saw and foldable bush trimmer on a pole.
I have an EGO battery and lawnmower well over ten years old, still going strong.
I am just getting into it last year I got a wed whip now I am going to get a snowblower Siegel stage with the steel anger and it comes with two battery's an changer
Where is the Chainsaw from the cover photo? Looks like the new 20"?
I keep waiting for 30 inch rider.
Ego commercial 22 inch walk behind I’m impressed by the power and build quality however I’m so torn because of the possibility of there 30 inch commercial walk behind coming next.
Hey I would certainly purchase the under 30” aluminum deck mower.
always get the battery with the tool because you're going to need to buy a battery probably within four years so if you buy one tool with a battery, then you go buy another tool the battery a couple of months later you see where I'm going with us
I just got into Greenworks with their 20” 60volt chainsaw and eventually their metal deck mower. Now I might be changing my mind for Ego…dang it!
How well does that chain saw work. With my ego 18 inch saw it tends to over heat the batterys a lot on anything 16 inches and up.
@@sv-et7gq that thing is an absolute beast. It has loads of power and has a metal base so it is built tough. Way overboard for my needs but it was on sale so I took it. I’ll just put a 16” or 18” bar/chain for normal use.
I went with ego in 2019. My main reason was all batteries fit in all equipment
On the image thought you went over a big chainsaw there was non in the video. Thought they might of had a big chainsaw would like to see a powerful one that can have a 30-60inch bar on it.😵
So that riding mower is gonna be 4 grand? I hope they sell the “tool only” version for like 2500 or so
That commercial 22” is nice, that’s quite a claim to say it’s the most powerful push mower under 30” considering scag just put out the 21” with the 224 kohler at 7 hp. It if has more power then that I’m in.
Whenever there is a turbo button I find myself always holding it down...who wants to blow leaves slowly?
Turbo mode drains your battery very, very quickly. You better not have much work to do.
@@ProblemChild-xk7ixnot a problem when I have 6-12ah batteries, and a few of the other sizes as well.
What in the world are you blowing and on what surface? It's not slow unless you have it on the first gear which is more like a sweeper.
It was great
Looking forward to see how the new product performs..
I love ego and have a bunch of the equipment, but the only one I've been having an issue with is there 18" chainsaw. Even when I use a 7.5 amp battery, it overheats on a thicker tree stump or branch. I hope they fix this issue.
EGO 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍
I can understand both sides of the gas versus electric debate. I'm a part-time lawn care business. For my gas equipment, maintenance is definitely an issue. New carbs, rebuilds to replace gaskets or grind the valves on a flathead. I get full of gas often when a Stihl tank releases pressure. They smell, and small motors pollute a ton. But Stihl and John Deere (my internal combustion brands) last and last long. My Ego equipment is great. The push mower doesn't have the lift of a gas mower, but in all other cases their equipment has more power. Those would be hedge trimmer, string trimmer and blowers. The Ego blowers absolutely kick @#$, with only the large Stihl backpacks beating them. The chainsaw is as expected, equal to a 45cc gas saw. One thing with the batteries. They don't last forever. They don't have the sophisticated battery management system and cooling that automotive lithium battery packs do. As a result, overheating and imbalanced cells can occur more. Case in point, new 7.5ah ego batteries are about $350 now. I just had to send in a 3-year old 7.5ah for rebuilding. The chargers flashed red with it. The pack was at 46v so a few cells were definitely toast. That cost $300 with shipping. I did it because it was 50 bucks saved. That cost has to be taken into account by a business. A new OEM carb on a Stihl blower is probably $45, with .5 to 1 hour of labor at $110/hour locally. New gaskets on a Briggs 24hp vtwin was $500 this summer, but what if all 2 of 6 batteries on an Ego zero-turn needed a rebuild? About same cost. I will continue to use a mix of Stihl and Ego tools and in the jobs where they each excel.
I personally use Ego residential products for my commercial lawn business. The quality and reliability isn’t perfect and I have had multiple items with issues. I have used the warranty more than I would have liked. Based on what my mower mechanic has said, Ego is trying to turn things around with their quality. I am optimistic the Ego will do the right thing and go back to the quality they were once known for.
I have had a similar experience, some tools have lasted forever like the power head and the rear motor string trimmer while others have died after one season and batteries are hit or miss same situation some last forever and some die very prematurely. I’m interested in that 22” for my business.
I take my Ego batteries and 150w inverter on every boondocking camping trip. Great way to power lights and chargers.
Gd work bud 👌lots of nrw gear
WOW...prices getting close to some new car prices
Great
That suckered is heavy duty
Some nice stuff, I use ego a lot, my main gripe, being here in the UK, is the mowers are absolutely dreadful in any type of wet conditions. I’d be interested to see how the new commercial push mower manages in damp/wet grass
I've seen reviews by Aussie contractors stating very good in all ways except wet grass. 🤷🏻♂️
That and the lack of choice of products offered and then there is the cost comparison, Europe pays a massive premium over prices offered in Lowes and Walmart.
@@jimporter wait until you see our diesel/petrol prices! 😂
Did you see the giant wall of batteries?! I almost filled my backpack with some lol
Hahahaha
How much was the mini bike and pressure washer from Ego? Thanks.
great update
Brotha man Ron 👊👊👊
It’s just awesome when you ask the people, demoing the unit what it’s capable of and they just say I dunno
Derisely known in marketing as 'order takers' 😅
Do you have the prices on the vacuum, power washer, and mini bike?
Love the content ALOHA TO ALL
Thanks Larry 👊👊👊
If your interested in the solar aspect for battery operated equipment look into solar punk he has a whole trailer with ego that is ran on a full solar setup even has a video that shows where he bought all the components
We need Ego to release an aerator attachment and a power rake.
That's what I'm waiting for
They need to make a nice cart for this a pool behind. That way people can take it hunting in the woods throw a deer on that and get the heck out of there quick fast in a hurry. You can even use the cart for lawn purposes put it on your tractor you know make it universal. I think that would be really cool what are you guys think. If you think that's something that you would like hit that thumbs up button.
How are those batteries hanging from the E track system in the trailer?
Still haven't heard you ask anything about their poor customer service and warranty support.
Not excusing them but its standard across industry these days isn't it?
i decided to convert from gas to electric for my snow blower, just seems like less hassle. Nothing worst than trying to cold start a gas motor in 10 degree weather or below and that noise was just too much.
18:30 i live in Wa state, they pushed that date for us out to 2030, thankfully, personally converting my Reel mowers to electric powered with Ebike kits, tired of smelling like exhast every day. I'm glad to see electric booming booming finally
Hey also they have to make a dozen different models. How about just two residential and commercial.
Ego has a new Robotic mower coming out, but they are behind on the times as it will use boundary wire instead of GPS
What distribution stream is Ego using for the commercial line? Most commercial contractors don't shop at Lowes for their equipment. They might want to sell these at independent dealers.
John Dear
Hahahaha
John dear and ego merged. John deere willbe selling ego products. Hopefully they will repair too
"Vance from Vegan Cookies Good is here" 😂That was real nass like!
Still waiting for Ego moto bicycle!
When are they going to come out what a 30" mower rider or walk behind?
There is more commercial products coming not announced yet? Are you able to say what any of them are?
They didn't say, but did tell me they had many on the way as commercial is a huge priority for them
Man, can I get a walk behind, nice wide zero turn? Like a 42 walk behind?
Have they announce cost yet??
when is the commercial lawn mower coming to australia
I would love to know what they used to mount the tools in the trailer. I need to find stuff to mount all my ego tools in my garage.
I think they mentioned it in the video, but can't remember off hand
@@ToolReviewZone I missed it. I'll rewatch it. Thanks!
I'm not sure if i missed it but did they tell you the weight limit on the mini bike?
220
Greenworks commercial have done it better with 16kwh and 24kwh options, and multiple deck sizes.
In terms of an on board charging system, solarpunk steve has done it the right way 😉
It gives you the option to scale, and if you own all sorts of equipment, you're not completely locked into Ego 😁
If you want commercial ego mowers, get the AS motor 531e ProCut B. I reckon it'll put that commercial Ego mower to shame 😂 and it's Ego powered for crying out loud
Is that new residential metal deck mower still a 20” or is it bigger?
The new residential and commercial are both 22" 👊
@@ToolReviewZone nice, dang it looks like I might reconsider going with Greenworks for my OPE if Ego does come out with a better metal deck mower then what they currently have out. I won’t get rid of my Greenworks 60V 20” chainsaw cause she is a BEAST…lol!
Some really sweet equipment. I just still can’t justify spending 2x the amount on a mower. I can buy 2 gas machines for the cost of 1 electric.
My issue is I'm bought two push lawn mowers the multi-head with many attachments the weed eater had of stack of batteries. Now it's all useless because not one of the batteries work so do I go out and spend another $1, 000 to $1500 on batteries?
Solid State batteries cannot come fast enough
When does the power washer go on sale?
January 1st 👊
0:15 where’s the camera? It’s in your hand!
Would like to see EGO or Greenworks acquire the rights from Wheelhorse or their parent co. And bring back the Elec-trac. Those were nice machines and 50 years ahead of time.
I did not click on for the mowerz😅
🤣🤣, I got ya 👊
I just realised something, the fact that it is electric, and electrics are Quiet.
Users will now be able to hear more properly, and detect problems earlier. Maybe you hit rocks, damaging the blades.
Which could then lead to prevention in the future.
Just like the computer telling you there's something wrong with the motor, immediate info.
Rather than finding out too late.
----
10:00 Maybe they should fix that seat, let it hang by itself.
I want the mini bike.
Any Floor vacuums, shoppe /wet dry vacuums?
It's in the video 🤷
Found it, 12 min mark. How much?
I'll get that information 👊
waiting for small fishing boat trolling motor
Unless I missed it, one glaringly obvious product missing from EGO's product line - Golf Carts. They could rule that space.
Did you happen to see a Reel mower by chance?
Looks like parts from a Cub Cadet.
How about a power shoot grass bagger
What was Honda showing? I heard they have stoped making mowers
They had tow battery powered zerobturns. Looked really nice but were just prototypes
the bike is not chain or direct drive... because the motor is inside the back hub
$20k??... I miss my Murray bought at Rose's on clearance...
16:45 we know that voice, some Dirt Monkey action in the trailer!
Not 1st this time but I'm here
81, that's all that matters brother 👊👊👊
Still no 30’ ego mower??? I guess 2025 is the year 😅
They said they are working on it
@@ToolReviewZone
Now that is music to my ears
Blower vac and 30 zero turn?
What’s the run time?
On what?
Hey
Why didnt they include the new ego robo mower? Once everyone gets a hold of those they wont need a lawnmower service. Their robo mower is due to release 2024.
I did ask them if they were going to cone out with one....they said it was "in the works"
Ryobi has two 40v products that are awesome. 8” earth auger (10” auger available) and 16” rototiller. Both are just as powerful as my old gas ones. Lighter & easier to use.
Hope Vance buys lunch Clint!!!
Me too brother 👌🤣👊👊👊
@@ToolReviewZone I take it he didn’t. Lol
It’ll be neat to pull a generator behind it for extended run time.
Blurred out at the end. Couldn't even finish watching.
ego needs a timemaster replacement before ill give them a chance.
For those that live in those states, get out if you can is all we can say!! It sucks but that’s what the lawmakers are subtly saying. Since you prefer Ego for your OPE, how does Greenworks compare to Ego in your opinion Clint?
Please make a video of everything at the Greenworks Commercial Booth!
think about it they have to makem quieter because in the future with ai more people will work from home with more people being layed off from office jobs robots doing most of the work and cutting down on comuter time
Still no 30 or 32" rider😢
Where’s the vegan cookie eater?
Zero turn: price mid teens is not 20,000! Lol. Mid is 14,000-16,000.
If they want to make a dent in market they need tom it to be 12,000 max
